People have way too much time on their hands to be going home to weigh their bagels and complaining that their bagels was toasted for a sandwich.... guess what that's on YOU for not asking for them to not toast it lol YOU are the odd ball for not wanting it toasted. The bagels are mostly made by 1 machine and it's not a factory pumping them out in back, just look when you're in there. Its a bagel place, not a major office... what do people expect as far as staffing goes? People expect so much and can never put themselves in the shoes of those girls. I've seen customers be SO rude to them in front of everyone at the store. If a bagel shop makes you that upset... just leave and go to DD or SB. SAB will survive without your business and ridiculous complaints. My only complaint is that the coffee is WEAK! PLEASE grind it up smaller. The less its ground, the less flavor we get from the beans and it just tastes like nasty water. Aside from that... BE NICE TO PEOPLE! You were once a high schooler working your first job. read more

I'm a fan of Such-A-Bagel the location is convienently pretty close to 295 so you can get on and off without wasting much time. I like the extensive amount of flavored brewed coffee that they have. I try out new flavors everytime I go in. I also think their low-carb bagels are pretty tasty as well and they generally always seemed to be pretty well stocked even if you go in the late morning. They have a drive-thru if you don't feel like going in and they also have a few tables inside if you are staying there to munch on your bagel. I also like that it's in a gas station parking lot, you can do two things in one stop! read more

Went this weekend had the low carb sesame bagel with cream cheese and my wife had the very berry bagel with maple walnut cream cheese - both were so delicious and light and crispy. Coffee was delicious, service quick- priced very well- will definitely make this a regular breakfast spot. read more

Boy have they lost their way! If you want real NY style bagels you can get them in Fairhaven, MA, breakfast place off route 6 and boy are they delicious, lots of gluten for chewyness. Such a bagel seems to specialize in low carb bagels, no flavor, no chewyness, tastes like cornbread, etc. Nothing to do with NY bagels, which most in NY boil their bagels. Here they steam them and they are far from authentic. Will never buy them again. Also, it seems they are adding yellow food coloring to them as well. Dry and tasteless. Bagels are moist on the inside and toasty and lightly crispy on the outside (when toasted) and I can't really ask for a more perfectly toasted bagel. The amount of cheese and actual real jalapeños were also great. Each bite had the cheese taste I want with the kick after to spice things up. Their in house cream cheese is also very smooth but not whipped had a nice cooling effect to match the toasty bagel. I've lived in Smithfield for 30 years and have frequented this place off and on for over 20 years. Today I had an experience that has repeated over and over and over. I went to Such a Bagel at 10:30 am on Friday (this has happened to me on many week days and weekend days) and they had lots of bagels no one wants and zero of the ones everyone always buys. OK, I'm sure someone wants a zero carb egg bagel, but it's pretty clear from them being out of Works, Sesame, Salt, and Plain that many if not most people want those much of the time. The same guy has managed this place for years (think he was gone for awhile but he (Mike?) is managing still). My question is just how bad at inventory planning do you have to be after decades of experience to accomplish a perfect record of never having Works and Sesame bagels 3+ hours before you close? If I'm there after 8:30 am, they are nearly always out of the popular bagels. I have a crazy idea! How about making more of those instead of lots of the ones that don't sell? Insane, I know. So, I went to Providence Bagel on Mineral Spring and they had plenty of both and any other flavor I might want. I wouldn't even bother to try Such a bagel except they're in the middle of the errands I always do. And my wife likes their chai. Incidentally, their bagels are about the same taste-quality as Providence Bagels but usually pooly shaped and much smaller than Providence Bagels. Downside for me is it's a 15 minute drive out of my way. read more

Bagels made in house are soooo much better than Dunkin. The breakfast sandwiches are always good and they have many different flavors of cream cheeses go pair with your bagel, including seasonal ones that rotate and low carb/ low fat options. My favorites are the jalapeño cheddar and onion bagels. Definitely worth trying! read more

I'm writing this while getting a hydro massage so they may get extra points. Honestly though, the service from the first steps through the door to exit is top notch. You are promptly greeted by a friendly employee and walked through whatever you fancy. The bagels are numerous and seriously delicious! My personal favorite is the pb and j on a fruit bagel! Nomnomzzzz! The coffee is more middle of the road. I am not a fan, but it will wash down one of their yummy options. Also, they serve Boar's head deli for the sandwiches. That's a quality plus! As a bagel snob (expert) from NYC I had to snatch a dozen of my friends from this spot. Besides the flavor-one must assess the texture as well....but in this case the size. They were disappointingly smaller than your average bagel. I pointed that out the girl at the register and she denied it - but you can compare for yourself. They are smaller - their portion control is off. Hence the 3 stars. Besides their mini look...their texture was straight up decent. Crunchy exterior - with a soft mushy like inside. Such-A-Bagel is a really awesome spot to grab breakfast or even just a dozen bagels to take home. The bagels have a nice crispy exterior and a soft interior, and are so perfect when they're toasted. They also have a HUGE variety of cream cheese flavors, my favorites being the strawberry and blueberry. They also always have seasonal flavors so there's always something new to try! This place has been a staple in Smithfield for years. I enjoy the spinach garlic bagels the most. I wish they would offer a good vegan cream cheese. Girls at the counter are usually very nice. Bagels are not at all consistent in sizing.. sometimes they are barely bigger than my palm! I'm sure it's a high school kid in the back making them but there has got to be some quality control in place. Also, iced coffee is not strong and pretty watery. Good flavor selection however. I do not recommend getting a sandwich. In my experience, they have always been pretty bland. Prices are decent I would say. I appreciate the reward system they have with the punch card. read more

I used to come to this location at least 3 times a week until I was almost traumatized by a few of the new employees. I ordered an egg and cheese with sausage on a low carb sesame bagel. When the girl gave me the sandwich it was made with bacon which was melted into the cheese so she had to make a new sandwich. I didn't mind and waited patiently for 20 minutes to find she made the sandwich wrong again. After finally sitting down and taking a bite I realized it was on an everything bagel so I waited back in line and informed the girl it was made on the wrong bagel. She rolled her eyes then proceeded to make fun of me with the manager in back. Here comes the worst part...the manager obnoxiously called me back to the counter and yelled at me saying I have to pay for the sandwich AGAIN. At this point I was there for 40 mins and refused to pay twice for a sandwich I was never able to eat then she called me ridiculous and continued to loudly humiliate me in front of the entire line. After a late morning haircut for the hubby, we were cravin' a quick mid-day snack. Always in the mood for bagels, we figured we'd check Such-a-Bagel out seeing as how it was literally next door to Supercuts. Way too many choices for indecisive 'lil 'ole me, my head was spinning after five seconds of looking at their ever-expanding menu of choices. Originally we ordered a few bagels to go for the next day but upon checking out... I noticed.. low carb bagels. Hold up. Wait a minute. Yes, indeed, low carb bagels. And not just plain but a massive variety in including sesame, spinach & garlic, blueberry, cinnamon, the list simply goes on. The lady at the register was also as sweet as apple pie & was more than happy to explain they were only 100 calories to boot! Might I add, they taste amazing, chewy and absolutely perfect. While I haven't even looked at their coffee options (I was too surprised & in shock by all the low carb goodness), I 100% recommend them! I'm leaving an updated review as we moved and now frequent the Greenville location more than the one on George Washington Highway. This place is consistent which is great! The girls all do a good job and I seldom run into the issue of something I'm ordering not being available. My go to bagel is the low carb cinnamon raisin with plain cream cheese. The coffees do not use syrup but rather flavored bean and there is a vast array of both hot and iced with additional monthly/daily alternating flavors - my favorite is Jamaican Me Crazy (Mike please put this on the menu!). If you're not a bagel fan, there are other baked goods as well as yogurt parfait and fruit cups. There are also Willow Tree and Boars Head bagel sandwiches on the menu if you need a lunch. Not a coffee drinker, try the green mango iced tea it's very good! Just know that peak times get very busy and there may be a bit of a line which moves at a good pace as this seems to be the go to spot for folks in the morning and most especially on weekend mornings. read more

We have ordered several kinds of their cream cheeses and have never been disappointed. We enjoy picking a bagel and making sure we order an extra for the next day. We have frequented many local spots and haven't found bagels as decadent as these. Our two year old daughter enjoys her muffin and sometimes moms sneak a bite in, too! Shh, don't tell her. If you haven't tried either one of their locations yet, it's worth a short or a long drive. They have a variety of choices for bagel sandwiches too if that's what you are looking for. Do you need a low carb option? You wouldn't think a bagel place would have any choices, but they have multiple choices for those folks looking for a low carb bagel! I can't go to Dunkin Donuts anymore because everything tastes pretty gross now that I'm used to Such a Bagel :) The staff is very friendly, but it's the food that makes this place so special. The bagels come in multiple flavors, but the "low carb" bagels (sounds like an oxy-moron, right?) are only 100 calories and are absolutely delicious. Such a Bagel has homemade whipped cream cheese in various flavors (some of which are low fat), as well as flavored coffee. Instead of adding fake sugary syrup for flavor, though, they flavor the beans. My favorite is the cinnamon-hazelnut iced coffee. Such a Bagel is definitely worth checking out. Low prices, great food... who could ask for anything more? read more
