    Cheese pizza. Yum!
    Richard F.

Ordered cheese and cheese and mush. Pizza has almost a pastry flakiness. Wife and I liked it and would go back if we were in the area. Friendly Greek-style owner (lol). Worth the trip. Pizza was thin, not crispy BUT very tasty.

Super beef sandwich with onion rings

So ever since the Kelly's Roast Beef closed their Natick, MA location. I've been on a quest to find closer establishments where I can enjoy quality fresh roast beef sandwiches. There's plenty out there but many just don't make the cut. So unfortunately with high hopes and expectations I ventured out to Papa's Roast Beef to give them a shot. Staff was good and friendly small pizza parlor. Few tables and while I was there, I noticed a table of 6 at a table. Not sure how long they've been there yet. So I ordered a super beef and onion rings. Similar order as my preferred choice so I can compare them equally. Waited about 15mins and it was obvious that the table of 6 was getting antsy because they've been waiting for 45 minutes as 1 of the gentleman was huffing about. I was like damn, I don't have 45mins to wait. The roast beef sandwiches was what the 6 other diners was waiting on. I had to agree with the other gentleman when he said this better be the best damn roast beef sandwich he's ever had for having to wait so long for it. Finally the sandwiches was making the way to the tables Mine included in that same batch so ultimately I did not have to wait as long as the others. Now the sandwich, which looked good but the roast beef was a little light (smaller portion)compare to other super beefs from other places. Barbecue sauce on the side, even with barbecue sauce, the sandwich did not taste right. The onion roll was grilled by the oil ring that shows around the outer edge but the center was crusty almost like it was dried out stale. It wasn't toasted because it was plain white no toasting marks. Other then the oil ring. Which produced a very unpleasant taste and texture to the sandwich. And the oil ring gave off a taste of really old stagnant oil. So I had to bring back to the counter and explained my issue and requested a different roll. So I get sandwich back with a plain roll which simply falls apart, as I'm trying to eat it. It was drying out as I'm holding it. The roast beef was a little dry and lacking in flavor. Onion rings was the frozen food service type. It was the battered version. Very crusty hard, definitely over fried even when I requested it to be on the light side. So I think if they use some "fresh oil or butter, even margarine to grill the rolls to warm an soften the rolls it'll compliment the roast beef and have a better product. The greasy onion rings should be replaced with a better product. So sad this is a closer location then the others so far.

This has to be the most unappreciated establishment in Smithfield, RI. Terrific food, excellent service, and they deliver! This is the affordable, quality delivery spot you are looking for right now. If you do your ordering in Smithfield RI, you know that you don't have a lot of great options. But, you'd be wrong. Papa's Roast Beef is a restaurant that has a little bit of everything and makes some of the best, most underrated pizza's, dinner's & sandwiches in the city. They're also absolutely enormous portions. You can probably share. My only suggestion to the owner is please put up a full website so we can view the menu updates, have another option to rave about every meal, and place our orders online. I also snagged a new menu! Enjoy!

I was torn on the wing flavor and the waitress (who was a F***ing riot by the way, I Love her)! suggested the maple, I didnt Love love them, but they were good. The pizza was ok, could have been cooked like a moment more. The Shroomy grilled cheese for me was the best thing on the menu. Hubby said the steak was just meh, but he is fancy, we take his reviews with a grain of salt, LOL... The decor and vibe of the place was great! Its big, misleading from the street, but there are rooms, and hallways, and more rooms! Super cute, but it does get busy, Make a reservation. I've seen on social media that people complained about the new location having mainly street parking - we both found parking easily on the street - quit yer b*tchin' people lol. Besides I believe they have a lot behind the restaurant that we didn't have to use but it's there if needed. We were the only ones there when we first walked in but more patrons came in as the night went on. Made our way to the bar and orders were flowing - one warning if you're sitting at the bar, it is an open kitchen so there will be alot of aromas flowing through and may get on your clothes but really it'll just remind you of how good the food was. Also, the barstools are not the most comfy - metal stools with no backing so after 2.5 hours, we were feeling a bit achy. We ordered way more than we should've but everything just looked so good! We got the croquettes (our absolute fave), the cauliflower, the pizza du jour (I think it had spinach, pepperoni, ricotta and garlic) and for entrees we got the fish tacos and the Orecchiette. Not one complaint - everything was divine. Croquettes were melty, smoky little nuggets of heaven and our favorites bites of the night. The pizza had a great balance of flavors and the crust was thin and crispy. We were so full but had a few bites of the fish tacos and pasta - the fish was cooked to perfection and the aioli it came with topped it perfectly. Pasta was different - had a scallion cream sauce that was a nice change up from your typical Alfredo. Don't sleep on this place - the street is busy being on a main road but so well worth the visit, I didn't catch our bartender's name but he and a few other servers were super personable and friendly - gave us just enough time in between meals and personal space to not hover. Absolutely will return!

The server mentioned that it's pretty typical for them in the summer. The decor inside was nice and clean but unfortunately the cigar smell from the place next door was nauseating. I've read they are moving eventually and I couldn't be happier for them since it's not their fault the restaurant smells like an ashtray. The food was fresh, cooked perfectly, served hot and we couldn't really ask for more. We had burgers and steak sandos and both were top notch. The steak had a really nice flavor from what I assume was a marinade and the burgers were huge. Surprisingly, I really enjoyed the fries. I'm usually not a big fan of fries and these were some of the better ones I've had. You couldn't taste the oil, they were crispy and lightly salted. I'm truly looking forward to going back, hopefully once they're in their new place. I can't wait to try some of their full entrees although I will steal some of the kids' fries!!

Lots of retro decor (think Slimer from Ghostbusters, Hulk Hogan pillow buddies, etc). The walls are lined with arcade games... bring your quarters! Whole variety of seating, from tables and chairs to circular booths, and the like. The perfect space to settle in for a bit, especially on a rainy weekend evening. We were greeted immediately and provided with a number of menus... and what a menu! Lots of comfort food options ranging from apps to entrees, and a number of sandwiches and burgers. I was vacillating between the hot dogs and a couple of the chicken sandwich's and ultimately selected the Cool Ranch Ray with grilled chicken, cheddar, bacon, and Ranch dressing. It was delicious! Unfortunately, the fries left something to be desired as they were fairly dried out and a bit tough to get down. Perhaps a bit less time in the fryer could have fixed that. Dessert was a nice cap to the meal with Nutella empanadas. Yum! PB & Jealous drink... divine. Our waiter Chris was moving and grooving... never seeming to stop for a second and always finding time to check in with us. Pretty certain he was behind the bar AND waiting tables and kept up with it all. Bravo! Fun evening, great food. Will definitely be back.
