Didn't expect much but I was blown away by the quality of the food. Their egg dishes are delicious (have yet to try their pancakes) and they have a really cozy vibe. I highly recommend the Turkish breakfast platter - a full assortment of flavorful cheese, fruit, nuts, and jellies accompanies a pair of eggs with sausage and potatoes. I got a fresh squeezed orange juice and the Turkish coffee (like an espresso). And the peanut butter pancakes are the best! Such yummy food! My boyfriend and I went for brunch. I had the egg whites and breakfast potatoes with a turkish coffee. my boyfriend had an omelet. We were both satisfied. The waitress is a sweetheart as well! The downsides: there's only 5-6 tables and about 8 bar stools so it's very small. Local cafe with a local flavor. We stopped by one afternoon just after the crazy blizzard of January 2016. We wanted to find a place that was close to our new home. I had the chicken sandwich (it was a very popular dish that morning, so go with what is recommended!) and he had an omelette. Fresh, tasty, and perfect for a cold day. This is one of the best places to eat breakfast in Bayonne. I usually order the Turkish breakfast platter, which comes with an assortment of fruit, cheese, and nuts, as well as the main dish, which is comprised of eggs over easy, crunchy cubed potatoes, and (my favorite) spicy Turkish sausage. Their pancakes are also the best I've ever had - not lying! The peanut butter and jelly pancakes are also scrumptious, and my mom loves their Vanilla bean pancakes. He always gets the fresh squeezed OJ and I always go for the Turkish coffee that's served in beautiful little china and is delicious. Everything we've had on the menu is amazing. Turkish breakfast is perfect when you're looking for a large filling meal. A simple bacon egg and cheese does not disappoint. Ask if they're serving their tomato soup! Perfect place for a quick and delicious breakfast. We came in Saturday and had to wait about 20 minutes as the place is a little small but it was definitely worth it. The Cezanne breakfast is the way to go! The waitress in there is very friendly too, hopefully we'll be back in the area to come back sometime soon. read more

My wife and i just got off a cruise ship at Cape Liberty. We missed breakfast so we looked for a place to grab a bite. We were looking for breakfast or lunch. We checked Yelp and being from out of town i'm a bit skeptical about reviews. I can't refuse a 5 star so we headed to Cafe Talya. I really appreciate when i see that people have a passion for food. I also noticed they create art in putting together a nice plate. Everything is made fresh served with a Turkish flair. The coffee was perfect with plenty of refills. I love the little gems over popular over rated chains and glorified diners. The husband is the cook and his wife is the waitress. I'm told they are open till 9pm even though they post they close at 2pm. They just can't turn away a customer! A police officer on duty stopped for a burger and he got immediate service. I'm ok with that. It looked like a good burger. I'll bet he knows the best place on his beat. My wife and I love the food and I must say I found the rose marmalade intriguing and tasty. If you read the other reviews some people seem skeptical like Ronald D. Throw him out! Go try it for yourself. You won't be disappointed. read more

Three words. VANILLA _ BEAN _ PANCAKES! These things are amazing. My husband and I come here all the time, but even since our first visit the wonderful staff has treated us like regulars. I hesitated writing this review for so long because I selfishly don't want other people coming to this side of town and making this place too crowded of a wait on Saturday and Sunday mornings for us haha. Husband usually orders a bacon, egg, and cheese with a side of breakfast potatoes and I get an order of the vanilla bean pancakes with a side of scrambled eggs. They give you such an awesome portion that I always have at least 1 pancake to take to work for breakfast the next day (making my coworkers very very jealous with the delicious vanilla bean smell in the work kitchen). The two servers are always busting their butts to get all the tables plus the stools at the counter everything they need, and they do a fantastic job! Coffee is good, as is the fresh squeezed OJ. Prices are pleasantly affordable. Can't wait to come here for breakfast again this weekend. read more
