First time here and LAST. I had guests bring me the tiramisu cake from here before and it was amazing, which is exactly why I came back today on Mother's Day. Biggest mistake. After lunch, we sat down to eat the cake and it was HORRIBLE -- dry, stale, and tasted like it was several days old. Completely unacceptable, especially for the prices they charge. I called thinking they would at least try to make it right or let me bring the cake back, but instead the woman on the phone instantly got defensive, said, "We don't sell old cake," and then HUNG UP ON ME. I'm extremely disappointed with my recent experience at this bakery. I purchased a pastry that was clearly spoiled, but I didn't realize it until after I had already eaten a bite of it. The taste and condition were unacceptable, and no customer should ever be sold food in that state. What made it even worse was that I brought it to someone's home as a guest, thinking I was bringing something nice, only to be put in an embarrassing position when we realized it had gone bad. It's especially upsetting because I've been a loyal customer who goes there often, even though I don't live nearby. I was so excited when I found this place on yelp. Easy to find and a lot of parking. I got a cheesecake, red velvet, cannoli and chocolate mousse. Very disappointed. Armenian bakery near my house. Their Napoleon is really good. The cream is delicous and it's always fresh. I have tried few other things but this is my go to pastry when I need to buy it. They have fresh khachapuri in the mornings which my husband likes. I also get that once in a while. They have cookies, macaroons, cakes, variety of imported desserts. Chocolates, snacks, drinks and more. Customer service is ok, parking lot is small but you can easily find parking. I never had an issue. read more

The red velvet was dryer than Kim Kardashians skin on a bout of eczema and the bird milk cake was so disappointing that it made my mother cry. Please don't come here. Was on an adventure looking for the most delicious eclair in Noho and ended up here via Yelp. Out of the three or four bakeries I went to that day, the eclair here was the most fresh and delicious tasting. What made the experience the most memorable however is the woman that helped us behind the counter realized it was our first time there and she told us to pick another item free of charge for us to try out. Great customer service (and not to mention there was a language barrier and she still went out of her way to make sure we had a great first experience there) We got the sour cream jello and although it wasn't something my bf or I particularly loved, it did taste very good (we just aren't huge fans of that yogurt texture). I failed to take a photograph of the Cake, but every year my Girlfriend's wish for her Birthday is a Carrot Cake. For the record... I HATE CARROT CAKE! Over the years I bought Carrot Cakes that were passable to please her. A few years back I sought the best place out for this and Cafe Teramo was called up to bat. Again I must reiterate that I have hated Carrot Cake. But low and behold Cafe Teramo has an Italian Made Carrot Cake that made me fall in love with their Carrot Cake. Let me start off with saying that customer service at this place does not exist. Not only the employees are not helpful, they are rude, especially the black haired one, and argue with customers. I walked into the bakery and was 4th or 5th in line. While every one was waiting the 2 ladies helping were busy helping customers. As my turn approached, the lady at th e cash register asked me with an attitude if I needed help. I responded yes, please. Then she answered me again with an attitude ' then say it's, and she looked at the last customers she just finished helping and gave smirk. While I was letting her know which pastry I was going to purchase, that same last customer called her back, because she wanted to purchase more things. So the cashier left me there and went back to the last customer. Then they started having this long conversation and I think the cashier forgot that I'm still waiting. Wow. So while I'm waiting for her to return and continue to help me, another customer walks in and this cashier is about to help her. But then she look my way and realized I was still waiting. At that moment I told her I'm still waiting for her. Her response to me was "so what" when in reality I was expecting an apology. Her rudeness continued after I chose the pastry I was going to purchase and another item. She threw the receipt on the counter after she charged my card, did not even bother to give me a bag for the item purchased, and on top of that busy having a side conversation with the other cashier. Really, is this what customer service has come down to??? When I told her her customer service was unacceptable and on my way out of the bakery, she continued with her "so what" and other comments along with idiotic facial expressions telling me that my business there was not appreciated. I left and that's the last time they have my business there at that bakery. I should mention this is not the first time that same cashier is being rude. Other times I kept quiet thinking she might be having a bad day. I'm sorry, not my concern. The owner or manager needs to coach and teach these ladies not only how to be polite, professional with customers, but also some basic manners. I orders a few different cakes for takeout from Cafe Teramo. The slices were nicely presented in a bakery box. All of the flavors were good, not great. The tiramisu was overly moist and the strawberry and blueberry cakes were too artificial tasting. The chocolate was my favorite - it has a pudding-like devils food icing. Have to update after all of these years and give credit where credit is due... I have not stopped going to this bakery and here is my update: -Their prices now are not only comparable but actually lower than some inferior bakeries that have sprouted around this area in the past couple of years. -The BINDI deserts are still decadent, not to mention their napoleon, stuffed "cigarette" cookies, ghurabya cookies, and so much more... oh and their house honey cake is by far the BEST honey cake in the area, try it !! -Service is still great, women behind the counter are always helpful and pleasant. Which is primarily the only reason come here. I buy Bindi Profiteroles.. ( F" N AMAZING!!!!!!! ) their about $35.00 a box and worth every dollar..!!! The only reason I'm rating this Bakery is based on that and that alone, that's why I'm giving them 4 STARS, these Profiteroles are hard to come by, and it's rare that anyone sells them unless you buy through the company, which is another story.Like I said I'm giving my STARS based only the Profiteroles ( ALONE)... They didn't even bother contacting to mention they didn't have the items in stock. They just packed up five and said to heck with it, let's charge the full seven items. Anyways, like the first sentence states, the pastries look really nice but taste of low quality ingredients. The flavors are all reminiscent of desserts that you get at the cheap chinese buffets, just dolled up a bit more. Avoid if you're craving desserts. I finally decided to check out this bakery since my girlfriend and son brag about how good they are .... two stars for parking and customer service . I selected several different small cakes such as the black forest , Carmel , mocha sadly all the the cakes I bought was dry and too sweet . The pistachio cake was the only one that was kinda moist but the cream tasted sour .
