We had to see if they had any, and luckily there was exactly one left! We bought it to have for breakfast the next morning. I'll admit, I was a little nervous because it was packaged in a bag and I wasn't sure how well it would hold up overnight. But the next morning, we basically fought over who was going to get the biggest piece. It was still flaky and delicious, and there was chocolate in every bite. The chocolate was in strips through the middle rather than spread throughout the entire pastry, but there was still enough that we never had a bite without chocolate. It ended up being such a sweet way to start our last day in town. They had so many other pastries and desserts that looked absolutely amazing, but we had just eaten lunch and knew we were heading back out for the day, so we didn't want to risk buying something that might melt in the car. If you're in Los Gatos and love chocolate croissants as much as we do, definitely stop in! And if there's only one left...don't hesitate. Grab it!

The orange cardamom latte was honestly pretty underwhelming. Instead of a bright, zesty citrus note, it came across as purely linear and sour. Mix that sourness with whole milk, and it just didn't taste right or appetizing at all, and the cardamom was way too subtle to save it. On the other hand, the pistachio latte was actually really delicious. The only catch? It didn't taste like pistachio at all. It was very vanilla-forward instead. So while it was a great cup of coffee, missing the actual featured flavor was a bit of a letdown. Great vibe, sweet staff, and nice outdoor seating, but the specialty flavors could definitely use some tweaking.

Ideally, a croissant should have crackly, flaky, buttery layers. Theirs is not crispy enough. I feel this bakery prioritizes aesthetics over taste. The tastes and textures are not properly developed. Everything is overly sweet and bland. Same in their Santa Clara location. I tried pistachio basque cheesecake. You could taste cheese, but not caramelization from the Basque effect, or pistachio. Very basic. At their other bakery location, I tried a few matcha things and they were plagued with same problem. The matcha flavor was not pronounced and everything tasted ersatz and boring. Bummer. as it's a super cute little cafe in downtown Los Gatos and they have so many nice looking options.

You could tell from The chocolate chips when they all have that gray hazy over them--the old chocolate film. They peanut butter chocolates were all stuck together. The other items, pretty bad. Then, they try to pass marshmallows for "mochi". When I asked the guy up front, he said they're just old. No, bro, they're quite soft and look nothing like mochi--mochi gets hard when it's old--but thanks for admitting what I suspected, that many, if not all, of your toppings are stale. Also, thanks for lying to me. $8 for a cup was pretty expensive (mind you we got almost no toppings). At this lack of quality, irredeemable. We didn't finish our yogurt.
