    Green (verdes) Chilaquiles

Really glad we stopped in. It's always great to find a small local spot that clearly cares about both food and hospitality. Service was warm, welcoming, and attentive, and the space has an easy neighborhood café feel. The menu is Latin-inspired, with chilaquiles offered on weekends. They typically serve both red and green, though only green was available during our visit. I usually prefer red, but these were excellent. Bright, balanced flavors and chips that held their texture well. I ordered mine with eggs over medium and avocado, and appreciated the variety of protein options. The chorizo breakfast burrito was another standout and one of the better breakfast burritos we've had in the DMV. Simple, high-quality ingredients executed well. The house-made aguas frescas are worth trying. The jamaica was refreshing and nicely balanced. I also tried the café horchata latte. I expected more cinnamon-horchata flavor, but it was still a solid latte. Seating is limited, with only a few indoor tables and some bar seating, though patio seating appears available in warmer months. Overall, a spot we'll happily return to, especially for weekend brunch

Interior with some small tables and a bar seating. There is also outdoor seating.

Cafecito is brewing up something special with the perfect blend of coffee culture, flavorful Latin-inspired bites, and a whole lot of heart! The menu at Cafecito is full of fresh, flavorful options. The latte was strong and my caprese toast was perfectly toasted open-faced piled with ripe tomatoes and mozzarella. They have different avocado toasts and egg sandwiches, and pastries to choose from! The staff at Cafecito are incredibly warm and welcoming, whether you order online for a quick pick-up or step up to the counter. I ordered to-go and it was perfectly packaged - box and bag with handles. It has a small, cozy vibe that feels instantly inviting--think three snug tables with comfy chairs, a sunny bar counter by the window perfect for people-watching, and a few charming outdoor seats.

Tucked away in a neighborhood behind a MOM's, parking is available on the street and there may be a parking garage as well. The interior is super cute, with a few tables if you want to enjoy your coffee/food there. I had the breakfast burrito and horchata latte--both were fantastic! 10/10 would recommend.

I came to Cafe Cito specifically because I saw they had café de olla, my absolute favorite, and it did not disappoint.

St. Patrick's Day special Irish red ale. The beer delivered a pleasantly full texture with a gentle sweetness, balanced enough to serve as a comfortable prelude to the richer dishes that followed. The French Onion Soup immediately set the tone. Beneath its bubbling cap of melted Gruyère, the broth achieved that elusive equilibrium between sweetness and depth, the caramelized onions fully developed without overwhelming the palate. It stands among the more refined renditions in town. A plate of escargots followed--classically prepared with garlic butter and toasted bread. While traditional and satisfying, the dish leaned more toward comforting familiarity than culinary revelation. Duck leg confit. Perfectly executed, the duck arrived with crisped skin and richly rendered fat, while the meat remained exceptionally tender. Each bite released a deep, savory aroma--earthy, succulent, and unmistakably French in spirit. It was a dish that quietly stole the show and lingered pleasantly in memory long after the meal concluded. 4/11/26 - The cod moussaka impresses with a crisp, golden top layer that delivers a bold, deeply savory cod flavor--rich, briny, and instantly satisfying. A touch of curry paste adds warmth and aromatic complexity, lifting the dish without overpowering it. Confident, balanced, and memorable--an easy re-order.

If you enjoy the French/Belgian classics, then this is as good a choice as any. The cuisine features sauce - lots of it - in almost every dish. You will find it in the escargots, the duck confit, and the steak. And of course the mussels are bathed in it. But hey, you came to indulge, did you not?! You could choose broiled salmon and salad, and still be happy though. I want to like this place more than I actually do. The food is not mind- blowing. The service is a bit impersonal. Something is missing from the tableau, je ne sais quoi. The highlights of my meal were the outstanding french bread, which is served warm, and an excellent glass of Chateau Neuf du Pape, chosen by the waiter. These framed the meal, like accessories that lift a so-so outfit. Let yourself be taken by the overall impression, not the individual parts.

But I think it's the people and community that really tip the scales. As soon as the Com-Coff door is ajar, Morgan (one of Compass Coffee's finest) or any of the other baristas greet me by name. Other regular customers I meet there have identical sentiments. I was so excited to try some of these harder to find pastries. I had a Turkish beef börek and a cheese finger börek. They warmed them up for me, but they still weren't very warm - I'd probably ask for them to warm them up twice next time. The beef börek was good; the cheese finger börek was good, too, if maybe a teensy bit dry. I also got one of their signature coffees. While these coffees sound interesting and delicious and creative, I wish there an option or two that weren't as sweet. I tried the Sultan's Velvet, which was just way too sweet for me. Next time, I'll stick to a classic coffee - an americano or a cappuccino - since they have it all. There's quite a bit of seating - some downstairs, some upstairs, and some outside. I sat down and read my book while I enjoyed my pastries. It's definitely the kind of place that is comfortable to sit and enjoy. The customer service was friendly and fast. Overall, I'm glad I stopped by Caspian Crust. Georgetown is lucky to have several pastry shops/bakeries, but Caspian Crust is different and stands out. Its focus on Turkish and Azerbaijani pastries means that there's something for everyone - some classics for those folks who like what they like with their coffee, more savory pastries with meat or cheese or olives, and some sweet but less common pastries as well. Great flavors and variety. It's also cozy, comfortable, and casual, with good customer service. I'd be happy to return.

My daughter and her friends always head straight for the traditional seating area with the pillows on the floor, though there are plenty of regular tables if you prefer the standard setup. On the menu, the Beef Banh Mi is a standout. It's easily the best you'll find in this part of town without making the trek out to the Eden Center. The meat is juicy, the roll is excellent, and they offer it with or without an egg. The secret stars of the menu, however, are the basil fries. Just be cautious with the Vietnamese coffee--if you aren't a seasoned veteran, that caffeine kick will have your heart racing for hours. The staff is consistently fast, friendly, and efficient.
