Homemade pasta is why we came here. If you're going to eat pasta it's got to be homemade or else I will just pick up a box at Walmart and cook it myself. Started out with the fried rice balls. They came in a creamy sauce that was so good I would have licked the plate if my wife wasn't there. The bread that came with the meal was also very good. Warm and crunchy on the outside while softe inside. The olive oil had an olive inside of it and had a great olive taste. I got the mushroom ravioli for my main dish. This was good except the sauce was a little salty for my taste. I would prefer that toned down. For dessert, I had a cannoli. In my opinion all cannolis are pretty much the same. We had a terrific dinner at Caffe Milano. The vibe and décor are really nice, and the food was all great. Miguel was our waiter and he was excellent. The bread with olive oil was a good start to the meal. For apps, we had excellent burrata, and a caesar salad. For dinner, we shared the gnocchi and the mushroom pasta. Both were terrific, especially the gnocchi. The mushroom pasta was tasty also, but a little too rich for one person to finish. We went to Naples to meet friends for dinner at Caffe Milano and then to watch the holiday boat parade. Our friends dine here frequently, but I have only been one previous time. Even though we were a party of 10, our waitress Ivona took terrific care of us. A friend and I had the special, which was a ravioli stuffed with filet meat and ricotta covered in a demi-glaze and topped with shaved cheese. It was delicious! My spouse got the veal Parmesan and he really enjoyed it. Plus, it was a generous portion. Others got pizza, salad, and other pastas. The meal, a nice glass of wine and time with friends...priceless! Came here after leaving another restaurant because their appetizer dish was not up to par unfortunately and I was not about to spend money on food that was not good. I saw this place on your pad great reviews so I definitely was excited to give this place a try. We sat at the bar and was greeted and hosted by the bartender who was great! We started out for drinks and order espresso martinis which was the bomb.com so good! I had the lamb shank, which was so juicy and flavorful my friend had the salmon dish looked beautiful, and tasted delicious. The inside is beautiful Mediterranean minimalist vibes. Everything about Caffé Milano is 5 stars! My family and I take our annual family vacation to Naples every summer (and have been for years). We always look forward to eating here and usually do so twice! The food is delicious! The pasta is made fresh in house. We love the short rib pasta dish as well as the ravioli specials! My son loves the cheeseburger and calls it his usual - haha. The wine selections is great too. The place and be upscale but can be causal depending what time you eat. They have outside seating but you have to request it or get lucky when you arrive. Great wine selection but small menu ($$). The seating is very close together and I was shoved a few times by the waiter delivering food to the table next to us. Just wow! Came in after reading all the reviews. Rushed in on a Saturday early evening after learning about their incredible happy hour menu. There is a large selection of Italian restaurants on 5th Ave but you really can't beat the price and the atmosphere is quite cute. Our server Sasha was great! He took our orders timely and even before the happy hour ended he followed up with us if we would like any last minute orders. We had the $5 red wine, the burrata, Caesar salad, chicken parm and a beef pasta dish. The complimentary bread was fresh and was served with olives. Sasha overheard it was my birthday and delivered a complimentary cannoli. I had Tuna which was amazing and it came with some wonderful Eggplant and I shared the Caesar salad and asparagus with my sister in law which were both top notch!
