Street parking is a nightmare and I have never seen an available space. We decided to Uber there which was pretty decent from our place in Brookline. We had our favorites, the honey walnut bread, and strawberry bingsoo to eat and they both were amazing! Super refreshing on a hot day! My friend had a croissant as well, which she said was just okay. My mother and I got iced chai lattes which were great and not too sweet. We will probably come back, but only for another cup sleeve event as the parking is just too hard. read more

Such a cute place to hang out and study. The portion of the Mango Parfait (which is actually a Bingsu) is massive. It could definitely feed at least three people. They loaded the parfait up with a lot of fresh mango, condensed milk, and shaved ice, but it was really easy to get tired of eating of. The drinks here are also alright. The Strawberry Mojito had a lot of mint flavor at the top while the bottom was just a mound of strawberry syrup. Refreshing but not something I could see myself getting everyday. This place is more of a 2.5 The place had a nice seating area, the workers were friendly, and the bingsu was pretty! But the taste of the matcha bingsu was really bland. The texture was also not what I expected. The ice chunks we're big. Although it was really big, it didn't taste very good. After eating the ice cream, red bean, and whipped cream, there was a lot of plain ice still. It was hard to eat the ice after all the toppings were gone. The bingsu was really different from the other bingsu places I've tried. We ended up not finishing the ice because it was just too much and lacked flavor. caffébene is my hidden gem! i love coming here to read a book or to knock out some work. they have so much seating throughout the caffe. my favorite is the raised area towards the back that looks like a library! make sure to come early if you want a table as they fill up fast, especially during the semester when college kids are in town. all their coffee is fantastic, but i love their vietnamese coffee. i cant remember what it's called and i really wish i did. the sweet employee at the front recommended it to me and i loved it so much!! they have so many food and drink options. i also love that when people aren't actively eating or drinking, everyone puts their mask back on. very covid friendly. read more

I ordered the Mango Iced Parfait and it was delicious! The size is definitely made for 2+ people to finish. I ordered and maybe 5 minutes later is was ready along with my green iced tea. The place seats a good amount of people and is filled mostly with studying/working peoples. I felt super comfortable sitting on my own. The employees assured me that I could take anything to go. They put my iced parfait in the freezer while I finished my tea. Then when I was ready to go they packed my iced parfait with ice so it saty. The only slight in consistency was the bathroom. CafféBene is a nice café with a pleasant atmosphere and pretty good snacks! It is spacious and has many tables, making it a great place to sit with friends. They also have spots that look like they'd be great for studying! I've mostly only gotten beverages here (things might have changed, but I wasn't a fan of their bubble tea), but on my most recent visit, I got a latte and tried their pineapple bun. The coffee was great, and I liked the pineapple bun as well! It was quite large (probably around 1.5x the size of a normal Chinatown bun) but was lighter, a little less sweet, and had a different topping from the pineapple buns I've had. Unfortunately, it was a little over two times the regular pineapple bun price, but that is somewhat to be expected in this area of Boston. Waffles, honey bread, gelato, mountainous shaved ice (also called bingsu), etc, this cafe is great to go to for a special treat or dessert after lunch or dinner. I've tried the green tea bingsu, which is huge with a generous dollop of whipped cream on top and totally worth the money! For drinks, they have excellent matcha latte and misutgaru latte that I would recommend trying if you have a sweet tooth. With plenty of wooden seating and wifi, it's also great for students to go to and study (if you don't mind background music). Their customer service has also always been great, with kind people. I got the strawberry peach smoothie and really liked it! Nothing mind blowing but it was decent. Fruity and good consistency, not icey like other bad smoothies. Best part is their seating area. They have window seats with huge glass windows so great natural lighting. So if you're looking for these I wouldn't recommend them here from the taste I had. The space is designed in a very chill and cute manner. I went in to try their soufflés (Japanese style Pancakes) but they didn't have any batter that day. I opted instead for a hazelnut latte- that was delicious !! Solid 5/5 creamy, nutty and not too sweet I also tried their banana honey bread. It is quite a bit serving so best shared with two. The bread is nice and moist with crispy edges. The top layer has the honey which is welcomes but as you make your way down the bread it gets a little dry and I wish they somehow infused honey in the bottom 1/2 of the bread too. Overall a nice experience (carb overload, not wow, but nice) . As for covid updates the tables are nicely spaced but it seems that they don't really have a time limit for how long you can stay. There were students who were occupying tables while working and seemed to be there for a while so it was hard to get a table that was socially distant from the rest. At the end I sat in a corner on the other side of the cafe and didn't really get to enjoy the ambience of the cafe with my coffee and sweet treat. So overall 3/5 read more

Cute cafe with a prime location near a university. They have plenty of seating and is already proving to be a great study spot. Big windows overlooking the street and cozy vibes on the inside. Apparently this chain is based in South Korea, and its Asian roots are evident in some of the drinks and sweets they offer. I ordered a vanilla latte and it was good! I've learned that if you ever want to find someplace to do work in a city during the weekend, you have to be willing to coffee-shop hop just to find an open seat. However, I've never had an issue with finding one here. Love the big space, the variety of seating options, and cute and cozy interior. I feel partial to this place because of the Asian drinks and food.
