This coffee shop has awesome ice blended drinks :) they also can make a mean strawberry banana smoothie. I usually purchase a Cobb salad with balsamic dressing. It is very good BUT overpriced. A salad that size should only cost like 5$ but I usually end up paying 10$$ for it. There is nothing special to it that would make It so costly. Also the sandwiches are 8$$ and it literally looks like something I could make out of my fridge and tastes like that. I came here for the boba since you cannot ever find a good place in this area. Boba is hard and tasteless here. The staff are friendly and are willing to customize your drink as you please. I got a caramel milk tea here! The price is expensive and they charge you for using your credit card. I have yet to try the coffee though. read more

I visited this place due to the reviews I found on here and it was just okay. I came on a lazy Sunday afternoon and what I didn't like was that...there was noone behind the counter to take your order. I guess everyone was in the back washing dishes or taking a break so I had to wait a bit to get some service! I had to scream Hello to the back a couple of times to get someone's attention! After that, a man came out, took my order, and made my blended green tea! It was good...but ehh...I dunno if I'd make a special trip out to Newbury Park for it. In my never ending search for local coffee spots, I came across Caffe Aroma. They indeed have a large plethora of coffee drinks (and all sorts of other drinks). I went for the vanilla latte, my standard. I've since been back for the Orange Julius (not sure if they can legally call it that, but I haven't had one in years so I don't care!). They also have Italian sodas, which is always a welcome sight for sore eyes. Anyway, the latte was standard, but kind of pricey. The orange julius was delightful, but also expensive. I also went for a BLT with a cup of soup...both mediocre, both expensive. The bacon was so crispy I could barely eat it; it was nearly rock solid. They need to settle down and cook that bacon right. The atmosphere is a bit odd, like the inside of an old cat lady's house. It's also part boutique, with little trinkets and oddities for sale. The deafening silence is perturbing...but the staff has always been smiley and friendly thus far! Overall, I like this place for its overwhelming selection of beverages, but I'm not really a fan of the food...or sitting at the inside tables. Drinks to go! read more

This is a real French cafe. It's a coffee shop with a wide selection of coffee drinks, paired with a similarly large selection of fairly standard-offering sandwiches. There are small tablecloth-covered tables, and the people who run the place are actually French as far as I can tell from the accent and the cultural aspects of running the place. They're also so concerned about service that they were insistent that their daughters wait for me to order first even though I came in after them, and they came out to bring me water after I foolishly turned it down earlier -- not realizing that soup is a bad choice for lunch on a burning hot summer day when I'm traipsing around in Newbury Park. One thing I like about them is that they sort of contract out of the coffee shop food products -- it's not hidden -- which lets them offer a wide variety from companies that specialize in that. The food they make themselves is 5-star quality. They only make one soup a day -- the chicken rice when I ordered it -- but they make it right, with a lot of ingredients and care. It was the best soup I had in so long I don't remember what the other was. The food is a little pricey in general, and the soup especially so -- although it is large -- unless you pair it with a sandwich, or in my case, the baby green mix. The salad isn't a baby, though -- just the greens -- it filled up a full-size plate even though it's meant sort of as a side. The thick balsamic dressing they'd included was also one of the better ones I had, and the ingredients for the salad were well-chosen. Apart from the price, the only drawbacks I saw were that it's a little too cozy and that it won't do too well if you're not in a coffee mood. The sodas are all cans, although I suppose that's just my weird fountain bias. The other piece I mentioned -- probably a result of the tight surroundings and use of the patterned tablecloths and real dishes and silverware -- keeps you from establishing enough of a mental distance to relax, because it almost feels like you're being watched by the customers or staff. Overall, though, it's definitely worth stopping in. read more

The Caffe is filled floor to ceiling with Victorian knick knacks and bric-a-brac, which makes for an entertaining time, if you're waiting for friends or service (it's a bit understaffed). There is plenty of seating, including a large wooden table, couches, and tables for two. The cafe caters to the over-25, female population--no little kids (too many breakables) and few teens (not a very modern feel to the atmosphere). Although I enjoy my Starbucks mocha more than the coffee served here, you can't get real china cups or table service at Starbucks. The fresh fruit plate we ordered was beautifully arranged and very tasty. I haven't tried the rest of the menu, but the sandwiches and salads look good (I took a peek as they were being served). It's a cute place to meet friends for bookclub or catching up on gossip. There's plenty of parking (in the shade) and it's convenient to the freeway. read more

Estrogen Alert! The T's Turkey sandwich I had was average, the service was quick and friendly and the drink I had was great, but this place should be called Caffe Estrogen. It's not for people with testicles unless you are 1.) dragged by a person without testicles, 2.) walk in by mistake, or 3.) want a good ice blended green tea with boba, which I thought was really good. I went in on my own accord for lunch (Yelp-induced-curiosity) and immediately felt the eyes of the mostly female crowd turn to me as if I was crashing their private tea party. I should have realized that this place would only appeal to the female persuasion with all the reviewers for this place on Yelp being women. As the first male reviewer I'll give it 3 stars. I love, love, love this place! If it were ever to go out of business, I would leave town! I give Caffe Aroma 5 stars because it has great homemade healthy food, the best coffee, the nicest employees and owner and nice, comfotable seating. It is a great place to meet up with friends, read a book while you enjoy your coffee or even get a nutritious snack while you study. My favs: blended green tea (I get it with half water and half non-fat milk and it still tastes delicious and is very low in sugar). Its the only thing I like to have on a hot day or after a trip to the dentist. Chai Latte: Not so much like traditional thai tea, but so good and very unique. Perfect for a fall day. The veggie sandwich: It has cream cheese (which you can get the light version) and they sprinkle sunflower seeds onto to cream cheese so they don't fall out of the sandwich. I love it here, it's fairly nice and quiet and decorated like your somewhere else, and along with selling food they sell cute little decorative stuff, ie. lamps etc. It's a realxing place where you can actually hear yourself talk and the service is great as well. This place does have Wi-fi even though the Yelp info says it doesn't. Cozy, tea shop kind of decor with huge paintings, lots of chatchkes and a very nice woman who works there. I had a soy chai latte, a pumpkin spice muffing. My husband had the bagel with lox and cream cheese. My soy chai latte was OK. It had a nice foam, but I wasn't crazy about the flavor. The pumpkin spice muffin was also OK. A bit dense. Not as much pumpkin flavor as I would like. My husband really enjoyed the bagel with lox. It had cucumbers and red onions and looked fresh and tasty. A cute place, with a nice owner and beverages that are OK. Prices are a bit high for what you get. Good size tables, good space, good wifi. I often meet friends here for coffee. Its unique, kinda funky and the decorating is a little odd. But that's what makes it fun. I have to say that I did order a scone here recently and it was so stale. I could barely break it apart and when I finally did, it was very dry, tasteless and crumbly. This is a great little cafe tucked in a corner of a strip mall just off the 101. Besides tea, coffee, and blended drinks, Caffe Aroma also offers breakfast and lunch fare. Think sandwiches, muffins, bagels, some egg dishes. I had a turkey melt on a bagel, which was served with a green salad. It was very simple but quite tasty. The service is very friendly and quick. Also, the ambience is very cozy and cute. The store is decorated with miscellaneous curio and gifts, pretty much all for purchase. You feel like you're in someone's cottage. My fiance and I discovered it while looking for a snack after booking the Stagecoach Inn Museum as our wedding venue and we were pleasantly surprised with the adorable shabby-chic decor and the cute people who run it. My usual go-to drink to test out any new boba place is just plain ole milk tea with boba. I usually don't order taro boba, but the reviews on yelp prompted me to try it out. It was pretty good and I'd definitely go back for more. The decor was really cute, sort of like old victorian style, not something I would expect from a place that serves boba. It's my first time here so I don't know if there is a lunch time rush, but I came after lunch hours and it was nice and quiet. I was looking for a place to get some work done before my next customer meeting, and this place was perfect. Free wifi, quiet, and quaint. The only thing that scares me about quiet places is the fear that they might not generate enough business and will go out of business before my next visit. I hope this is not the case! read more

This cafe is very misleading from the outside. It has very classy, beautiful decor on the inside. It is a nice place to relax, come and read a book or work. They do have WiFi. The people behind the counter are really nice and friendly. The coffee's are not to die for, but are not bad. Their Turkey T's sandwich is delicious, Served with chips or salad. Definitely worth for a quick stop or to sit down and play scrabble with friends. They have outside seating, and the two times I came here they did not have A/C. This is hands down the coziest mom and pop coffee shop in Los Angeles. The lattes are fantastic which is my go-to drink. I just had a chai tea latte with almond milk and it was pure heaven.
