First off: The food is tasty, consistent flavors, and and I do recommend this restaurant to others. And I will continue to order from here when I am on business travel. The owners are respectful and treat their customers well. However, the only reason I am not giving a 5 star is as follows: The minimum delivery order is $35.00 on Eat24. That is quite high especially for business travelers who will order frequently from the restaurant. ( I have ordered twice from here) Eat24 gives as a standard 45-60 mins to deliver food, it takes closer to 90 minutes for delivery. Eat24 needs to get more realistic about meeting the timeline, especially given that they make sure that the charge for ordering food is quite high. Eat24 needs to be a bit more proactive about their customer service than expecting customers to follow up after 60 mins, their online. read more

Living in the Parsippany area means having access to good authentic Indian cuisine. It wasn't until tonight on Yelp I even discovered this little gem in Denville and wanted to give it a taste myself. To start I got some Onion Bhajia which was absolutely to die for. It's like an onion ring with an Indian cuisine twist. Super flavorful and crispy without being overly greasy. As my main entree I got Chicken Chili which had a really great sweet and spicy sauce on it. I had ordered it extra spicy and was a little let down it was more sweet than spicy but it had a great flavor and I would gladly eat it again. The whole wheat paratha was tasty and buttery and was perfect to soak up the flavors of the chicken chili. My wife isn't quite as adventurous cuisine wise as I am so this is likely to be my new go to local "man night" dinner spot. I'll definitely be back to try some lamb options and I'd love to also try the lunch buffet which seemed to offer a pretty good spread for reasonable prices. read more

Caffe Delhi is the closest to India I have tasted in New Jersey. The goat curry is outstanding. The flavors are amazing and they control spice perfectly for your liking. Don't say spicy unless you really like heat. The chicken saag is also delicious and the chicken is always tender. Only my third time getting indian food (the other times were in Edison, NJ and at Spice Grill in Parsippany, NJ) but I enjoyed the food - your typical indian dishes like tandoori chicken, chole, palak paneer, naan, etc. They had about 15 selections for the lunch buffet. Loved, loved, loved our dinners! Our friends recommended this based on the Yelp reviews. We were not let down! Way to go, Yelp! Although the four of us and an other table of two were the only people dining last night, do not get scared away if you, too, walk in and no one is there. The waiter and his assistant were sooo pleasant and sooo helpful! Three of us got the combination platters; my friend got a regular dinner dish. How happy was she when the waiter brought her a soup as well, on the house, as he did not want her to feel left out while the three of us were enjoying our most delicious soups! (great to the last drop- and served hot as I love my soup served). Being highly allergic to eggplant (not fun for a vegetarian for sure), they were so accomodating in allowing me to switch out my choices for my dinner. The naan was yummy- fluffy and oh so fresh! I loved the way the trio of dishes was presented on a special platter with places for the naan and the rice. Clean plate club for sure! I had Malai Kofta, Bhindi and Paneer Makhani . I have been thinking all day how much my palate loved these dishes. None of us had room for dessert, but I will bet that's deliciious as well. Almost forgot to mention that it is BYOB, too! Perfectly prepared to your liking. I ordered delivery of chicken vindaloo and the tandoori combination platter. Both were absolutely fantastic. I asked for medium spice and that is exactly what I received. Sometimes other Indian places don't provide such accuracy. The spices of the vindaloo were beautifully married with the dark meat chicken and potato. The tandoori was cooked extremely well. I especially enjoyed the soup that was included with the combo. And of course the naan was so delicious along with all of it! Not only was the food amazing, but the man who delivered it was friendly and prompt. I would order from this place again in a heartbeat. Found this place on yelp and decided to check it out. Went there on a Tuesday night, so it wasn't too crowded but you could tell it is considered good food, by the number of take outs. Nothing super fancy on the decor, but very comfortable atmosphere. I was with kids, but otherwise it's great for BYOB. We started with papadum and veg samoas. All were great. The samosas seemed like they were homemade and had a nice little bite. We then shared a few dishes: chicken tikka masala, shrimp jalfrazie, and lamb masala, naans, and rice. Everything rocked. The masala was a great balance of cream, tomato and spices. We went with the mild for my youngest kid, but next time I'll check out the hot spice. My family of 6 has been patronizing Cafe Delhi since they opened a couple of years ago, and we eat there quite often. In addition to the great food, it's the location, price, and the fact that they offer coupons that draws us back. They offer a wonderful buffet during the lunch hour. The service is good, and they spice it perfectly to our taste. The personnel are unassuming, but always available to fill our water glasses. Good spicing replaces the scoops of salt, sugar, and pepper in good Indian cuisine, and Delhi is right here in the CVS plaza near Denville train station. My husband and I went here for dinner, just the two of us. When we arrived, we were the only people there at 5:15. We ordered a samosa appetizer, naan bread, and butter chicken to split. THREE things. As we were sitting, more people started to arrive and it became clear that they were focused solely on takeout orders. It took them 20 minutes just to come take our order, and then another HOUR AND A HALF to bring out our food. For being the first people in there, it was ridiculous. The food was okay, but not worth the wait. After an hour and 15 minutes of waiting for our one entree, I just asked for the check for the appetizer, and we were going to order butter chicken at another restaurant, but then we were told it was ready and would be right out. Week 2 of Covid lockdown in NJ and this was our first time getting delivery in years. We ordered the Special Combo for 2 for Sunday lunch, which was super affordable at $40. We go to Indian restaurants in the area from time to time, but this meal was probably the best I've had in NJ since traveling to London in '15. Chicken was very tender, the sauces creamy without being oily, the chai was perfectly spiced, sauces complimented the proteins, naan had crispy edges and fluffy on the inside... delivery was also prompt, and we were contacted when it was left safely on our doorstep. We placed an order and everything was horrible. We stated that we did not want red crushed peppers in our food but we wanted our food spiced with green chilly peppers. They stated that they could not put green chilly peppers because they were busy. Which was BS because when we went to pick up the food there was only a group of four people. When we got home we saw that our appetizers had a little red crushed peppers. Which was not what we asked for but we ignored it. When we got to our dinner we came across rotis full of red crushed peppers. Like literally the whole roti was red due to the peppers. Our entrees were also full of red crushed peppers. Caffe Delhi is wonderful. When my human sweetheart and I walked in on a Monday afternoon around 5-6 ish, it was completely empty and completely quiet (no music, noise from kitchen). We were close to turning around but gave desolate dining a shot. Boy r we glad we did. Boy r we glad we did baby. Vegetarian options are hooked up, we enjoyed the vegetarian appetizers for two, the bread bowl (pick three naans/breads), and two vegetarian entres which really stuffed us up in the best way: deliciously! Food was very mediocre. What was worse was management. They have an add/offer on yelp for $7.95 lunch buffet but management did not honor it and went on to blame yelp for not removing their add. Dimly lit, clean, restaurant .The staff here is awesome. They always ask if I want extra rice when I leave with left overs. They always give a, free, crispy bread with a red onion chutney to start your meal. Prices are fair and the amount is ample. They always refill your water and It's BYOB!! :) When you order spicy, the food comes SPICY. There is always parking outside in the strip mall parking lot. There are coupons that come in the mail too. I am a return customer. I would recommend this place. I have had the crab dish, goat, lamb, and chicken vindaloo. Ordered take out on a Saturday night. It took about 45 minutes for our order and it was completely worth it. It was really good. Good portions for the price as well. They packed everything separately in small containers and made sure nothing got soggy on the way home. The paneer was very good & the naan was great as well.
