Wow this feels like I am in Italy! Stop by here on a road trip back to tx! Shop is sososo cute and so busy! I ordered giavani and Lisa and both were so good! The bread was crisp and the flavors were out of this world! They are also pretty big which was nice! Desserts were kind of slim pickings I should of went here sooner but the cannolis omg never seen them so plump with cream Like theirs! Got that and the raspberry tart that was so tiny and yummy! Almond cappuccino was strong and delightful! The guy making the coffee looks like Jude law too so handsome guys making my coffee and sandwiches I would go here everyday hehe

The desserts were delicious but the stand out to me was the focaccia sandwiches. They were delicious!! Everything we got was amazing. The Giovanni sandwich was soo good. Their Tiramisu was phenomenal. The store is on the small side, but go on a sunny day and sit on their patio, it's very cute. Because they are on the smaller side, the line can get long. They move fast and are polite to everyone they are serving. Cannot recommend this place enough!

I am so excited that this joint is opening up in my neck of the woods. I barely make it out to the Overland area and now they are right down the road from me! It's great! I stopped by today to see if they were open. They weren't which is a bummer but I look forward to trying out their goodies! From what is set up, it's looking pretty cute! I love the bright yellow tables outside. There is an olive tree out front as well, it's all very inviting. Looking inside, everything is shiny and pretty. The venue is small so the tables outside is nice. I'm cooking forward to coming here Thursday when they open. I have heard nothing but great things about this place. Excited for some foccacia, a cannoli and some coffee.

We came in for the first time. Tony and the staff are so nice and the food speaks to that. We got the serafino and a maritozzo. Truly a special place in Boise we will be returning often. Thank you! Highly recommend.

This place is the real deal. If you're looking for an authentic Italian sandwich, look no further. Not only are these the best sandwiches I've had outside of Italy, they have the most delicious pastries. From tiramisu, to puff pastry's, affogato to cannoli's, everything is done to perfection. If you are wanting to try their pastries, get here early because they usually have a long line and sell out! This is the spot I find myself wanting to come back to again and again.

I like LISA!!!!!!!!! YUMMY!!!!!!!!! This was my first time trying an Italian sandwich. Tony and Emma asked if I liked it spicy. Oh my! I just found the best sandwich in the world!

This is one of those places where you understand the value of patience. Each time we have gone, there has been a line out the door because the space is only small enough for standing room for 8 people, all of whom are waiting for their order or their turn to order. The pastries are to die for. We came for the first time last week, paid our penance in a long line, and was greeted by the warmest family you can find on the edge of Boise and Meridian. They made a handful of recommendations and every single item was a hit. Today we're here for sandwiches, but in sure next week will bring in a new weekend treat

Good lord!!! This Italian bakery is devine! You know you've hit a gem when the place is packed on a Sunday morning. My kids and I absolutely loved their baked goods. The sandwiches were very fresh but I think the sweets are even better! Overall I loved this place but I will say it was extremely slow at making 2 sandwiches. We waited close to 30 minutes to get our to go order. Would I go back? YES!! I love supporting small places like this that treat food as a craft.

Yummy focaccia sandwiches! Interesting and delicious flavor combination. We got one with fig jam, prosciutto and pistachio. We also had a mini cannoli. Perfect!

Francesco $13 Genova Salami, Pecorino Garlic Spread, Sun-dried Tomato, Fennel, Arugula
    Jill J.

Absolutely delicious! We got the Serafino: Mortadella imported from Italy, Stracciatella, Basil Pesto Spread, Crushed Pistachios and the Francesco: Genova Salami, Pecorino Garlic Spread, Sun-dried Tomato, Fennel, Arugula on herbed focaccia. The bread was pillowy with crunchy edges and glistened lightly with olive oil. BEST focaccia sandwiches outside of Italy...and right here in Boise. 100% worth the wait, and get there early...they will sell out!

When we…read morearrived, it was absolutely pouring, and being from the Pacific Northwest, we didn't think twice about waiting in line .As soon as the rain let up, though, the line grew dramatically, so we were glad we had stuck it out. The bakery itself is small, but the display case is anything but. It's packed with beautifully crafted pastries, each one more tempting than the last. Honestly, everything looked worth trying. We settled on the Rose Croissant and the Lox Croissant Sandwich, and both were excellent. The rose croissant was a standout with the rose flavor delicate yet present in every bite, which is rare for floral pastries. It never became overpowering or faded into the background or tasted artificial. The true star of the meal, however, was the lox croissant sandwich. It was absolutely stellar and one of the best savory pastries we've had in a long time. The coffee was just okay, but that was fine because the pastries completely stole the show. The staff worked quickly despite the steady stream of customers. There is a bit of seating both indoors and outdoors, although most people seemed to be taking their orders to go ,perhaps because of the weather. If you're visiting, come for the pastries. They're absolutely worth the wait.

If you're like us and like specialty coffee flavors like salted caramel, lavender, honey, etc., this probably isn't the spot for your coffee fix. That said... the pastries are absolutely worth the visit! Everything we tried was beautifully made and delicious. Just a heads up: it gets very crowded and busy, so I'd recommend arriving early or going in with a little patience. It's not typically a quick grab-and-go stop, but the pastry treats make it worth slowing down for!

I have driven by this shop a million times but never got the chance to make it in. After checking out all their photos and goodies off their website, making my way in today was a must. The shop is very small and intimate. You are immediately greeted by all the goodies as soon as you walk in. Colorful macarons, the cutest cheesecakes and beautifully displayed scones and muffins. The display case is nice and bright, allowing you to be able to see the details and coloring of each macaron. The pretty piping on the cheesecake. The fun layers of the cakes. It was hard not to want one of each thing out of the case. It was our first visit for my daughter and I. As a new customer, you're trying to absorb everything about this store. You want to look at all your options! The gal that initially was going to help us pretty much just stood there and stared at us. Didn't really talk to us. Didn't ask if we had any questions. She had the most unpleasant look on her face. It honestly made me feel so unwanted and uncomfortable to be at the shop. I offered to let another customer go ahead of us so she wasn't just standing there waiting for us to order something. The second customer also needed some time. Finally a gentleman came in and she got him some coffee started. Another gal was working and she helped us. At that point, I was so turned off about getting anything but we were already there so we decided to grab a few things. My daughter and I decided to share a 6 pack of macarons. We snagged lemon, birthday cake, coffee, chocolate, creme brulee and cookies and cream as our flavor choices. She also got a red velvet cheesecake for us to share after dinner tonight. On our ride home, we broke that box of macarons open and had to try them all. The lemon was sweet and tangy, I love the lemon custard in the middle. Birthday cake reminds me of a pink frosted animal cookie. The chocolate was my favorite! Very chocolate forward and sweet. Coffee reminded me of a vanilla latte in cookie form. Cookies and cream was much like cookies and cream ice cream. More cream forward and less chocolate cookie. Creme brulee had sugar toasted on top which created a slight bitterness to the cookie but it was balanced with how sweet the cookie was. All 6 macarons were fabulous! I look forward to having the red velvet cheesecake after dinner tonight. I like that there are so many gluten free options at this bakery. I adore how petite and prettily decorated the pastries were. I appreciate that this joint is local as I love supporting local businesses. But, first impressions are so huge for me and my first impression of their customer service wasn't there for me. You can push out great products all you want but how you make someone feel during their purchase can make or break your business. As fantastic as my macarons were, all I can think about was how uncomfortable I was when I was just being stared at. Macarons and cheesecake can be purchased at a few joints in our valley. I'm happy I got to enjoy some goodies with my daughter but I'm going to go support another local business that will actually make me feel like a valued customer and not a bother.

Headed to gym event, but needed doughnuts haha! Did they have them? Nnnnnnope! Made me very sad. This place sells their cookies in WinCo and I think Whole Foods. Their cookies are RIDICULOUSLY AMAZING! I could easily eat a bag of 8 in probably half a day lol. Then I'd get all depressed because my bikini wouldn't fit right :( So when I asked about the doughnuts she said they haven't been making them and I think she said it was because of staffing issues. Thanks to the virus and people now refusing to work because the government is giving them too much in unemployment, this is the case with way too many restaurants, bakeries, etc. That's my subtle jab at the current government and what they're doing to the country lol! So I left without doughnuts BUUUUT I did buy a bag of cookies. The same bag I could have bought at WinCo or Whole Foods. She said basically everything they did that morning was make the cookies for the stores and she watched them leave to take them to the stores. Exciting! I felt all guilty as soon as I bit into one of the cookies but OMFG THEY ARE SO GOOD! Have y'all ever been to a crumbl? If you have one where you live GOOOOO! This places cookies are basically they lower calorie version of Crumbl because some Crumbl cookies have 850 calories in ONE cookie hahahaha! Is it worth it tho? Absolutely lol So are these cookies, but if you are trying to watch your calorie intake then maybe stay away because you can tear through a bag of these with ease. Chocolate crinkle and snickerdoodles are my go-to's! Ooooooh! Ok, y'all, WTF is with the twist ties you used to tie up the bags of cookies? STOP using those! They are literally THE WORST! I'm sure they're cost effective but stop! I'm also sure with selling to those two major grocery stores plus selling them in your bakery that you can absolutely afford to use better ties, ones that we can actually open and reuse vs these where you can't just open them, you have to cut the top of the bag and then basically...the bag is useless after that. I know this sounds petty, but ugh they're they worst! Aside from that, this place is super nice. It's in a very weird location tho, I was surprised by that. It's like the only sit down place on this street. Across from them is a warehouse of some sort, half a block up are homes, it's just seems like it would be better on the north end, or NW Boise, basically anywhere other than where it is lol. The staff is super sweet, the ones that were there lol. I'll definitely be going back. Glad my first experience there was a decent one even if they didn't have doughnuts for my heffa ass hahahaha! Thanks for reading, Yelpiiteees! Cheers!

I was pulling onto Orchard by the Idaho Youth Ranch and saw their sign. I needed to stop in and see what kind of goodies they had. Walking in, you're greeted by their menu. Lots of goodies to choose from. I appreciate that this bakery uses gut friendly sourdough. My friend who I normally buy my sourdough from decided to take a break from baking. So now I'm trying to find someone who can compare to her delicious sourdough. The store is awkwardly set up. Racks separating the bakery from the store front. If someone is standing in front of the bread rack, you're pretty much stuck until they move. The front of the bread rack is what leads to the front door. But, as congested as it was, the racks and shelves were perfectly stocked loaves of sliced sourdough bread, cookies and rolls. It was overwhelming trying to check everything out without fearing you might bump into someone. They only had a couple options for the sweet goods, I honestly thought there would be more for Valentine's day. There were quite a few options of savory goods. The lady behind the counter said they had a late start so that could possibly be why there weren't many sweets available. I did grab a red velvet cinnamon roll and some chocolate chip cookies for a couple of my Valentines. I was interested in getting a loaf of sourdough for my husband. The only loaves they had available were kinda small. I was hoping for something bigger loaf that would last us for more than meal. The cookies were a hit with my family. I did have some of my daughter's red velvet cinnamon roll. It was killer. The cinnamon roll was soft and flavorful from the chocolate. The frosting on top added an extra touch of sweetness. I only had a couple bites but I could have polished it off easily. Not gonna lie, those 2 things I got were pricey. The singular cinnamon roll was 7+ bucks. It was a decent size but pricey for just 1 roll. The cookies were 4 to a package and at a similar price point or more. For those 2 items my total was 20 bucks. With people budgeting their money now a days, bread and pastries from this joint would be considered a luxury. People want a good amount of bang for their buck. What I got today was good but I don't see myself coming regularly when there's other local bakers that can make the same product for a portion of the cost. My interaction with the gal behind the counter was ok. She was more chatty with a couple regular guests. I'm happy I got to stop into this local bakery and grab a couple things.

You need to know it is there to know it is there and now you know. It may be a little out of the way but it is worth the trip. "AAAHH.."-ROMA MEETS WARM WELCOME: It smells like an "aaahh..."some bakery when you walk in the door. Added to the aroma is the "welcome in" hospitality of the people who work there at the small front counter who will answer your questions to sell you the bakery goods. In a write up at the site the owner says, "It brings me great joy to serve you all." You wouldn't even need to know she said that to feel that spirit in the air. THE EATS: Everything, both sweet and savory, is long-ferment sourdough which is said to be digestible by people with certain gluten intolerance. (I have celiacs in my family and I have to say they couldn't eat a wheat flour bread no matter how it was fermented, but I do understand gluten intolerance takes different forms.) Aside from that, it is delicious for all eaters. The heart and soul of the owner / baker is in this and I'll insert "In Her Own Words" at the end of this tome because what she has to say is so lovely. We were introduced to Pure Bliss when we bought their pizza dough at "backside neighbor" local market Lark & Larder before the bakery was bricks and mortar site. We have subsequently enjoyed their bacon, cheddar loaf and pizza dough purchased at the bakery and we look forward to trying more. CLASSES: Check the site because sourdough baking classes are offered at the bakery from time to time. The next one is coming up in July 2024 and then again in September. Sourdough starter is sold at the bakery too. HOURS: Limited right now, Thu and Fri (11 - 3) and Sat (9-12). So good to know that too before you make the trip. PARKING: Woohoo! They have a small parking lot. It includes one correctly designed and placed ADA spot too. A rarity in this part of Boise. Good for them. ACCESSIBILITY: A van accessible parking spot in the lot. Walkway to the front door and all on one floor with standard height sales counter. SEATING: None inside, this is take and go. But there is a small bench just outside the door. LOO: Didn't notice one but as a take and go place they would not be required to have one for public use by code. GOOD NEIGHBOR: And if you're looking for local produce (like Purple Sage, Fiddler's Green and Waterwheel), animal proteins (like Malheur and Boise River Lamb) and other good things to eat (like Boise's Chocolat Bar and Ferranti Fresh Pasta) plus local craft makers, Lark & Larder is a great place to visit behind the bakery. IN HER OWN WORDS: The owner says the following. I love it. "It nourishes me. It nurtures me. It grounds me. I love every part of it. It's not about the end result, it's about every part of the process. I love having my hands in the dough. I love seeing the bubbles as the dough ferments. I love the aroma of my kitchen. I love seeing the beautiful boule presented from my oven. I love the sound of the crust and the taste of the freshly baked loaf. I love not being in the corporate world or being told how to work or how to run my day. It calms me and I like to eat it too. I don't rush it, I flow with it. It's been part of a growth process for me. It's not about being someone whom I am not, it is about being who I truly am. It is about just be-ing. The corporate world, and the world as a whole broke me. I was empty. I never want to go back to what was. I bake to nourish myself, and as a bonus other people want what I bake too. I love my customers. They are all so grateful to have to be able to enjoy bread again. It brings me great joy to serve you all."
