Microwaved Bacon egg and cheese panini
    Alex W.

Had a $10 gift card so I came here. Absolutely did not expect the gift card not to cover a microwave BEC sandwich but sure enough it did not. $11 for a premade microwaved bacon egg and cheese sandwich is insulting. None of the food was labeled as to what it is either so I had to make the employee rattle off half the display case to even figure out what it was. Even one of the employees who was new didn't know what half the items were and had to ask someone for help. At least the service was friendly and employees were nice. You can get a fresh made similar sandwich for cheaper at any local place so I'll be sticking to those spots in the future and not giving my money to these ripoff artists. No wonder they have a bunch of locations the profit margins must be good with what they charge

I stopped by this café before visiting Powell's Books, which is just a short walk away, to grab a coffee and a quick bite. The place was busy and had a lively atmosphere. I ordered a latte and a butter croissant, and both came out pretty quickly. The service was efficient, even with how busy they were. There are a handful of tables inside, and it definitely seemed like a popular spot for people studying and working. I ended up sitting at the bar where my coffee was served, and I couldn't help but notice how nice the bar setup looked. It's a great place to grab a coffee, get some work done, or fuel up before spending a few hours browsing Powell's.

Nice atmosphere for a coffee shop ( some people probably wouldn't like but they had a TV so I was able to watch a little Wimbledon ) a local friend recommended their coffee as one of the best in town - did not disappoint. Had an amazing latte and a great almond croissant.

Usually not a huge fan of matcha of any kind, but the matcha lemonade here was amazing.

Wonderful service at this coffee shop. The barista helped us and went through a little of the menu with us. Relatively traditional brew options, which I love instead of all the add-ins/customized drinks that are everywhere. Ordered 2 cortados with oat milk. The espresso has very good flavor and the oat milk made it rich. Would be a good place to work or study.

WHEN: Fri @1:30pm Wanted somewhere to work for a bit and this spot has all the basic necessities: seatings, outlets, beverages, pastries, and some savory foods. No wifi but they open late everyday (6pm). They even serve affogato! But all I had was: COLD BREW - $5.25 Served in a tall glass and comes with a cute little chocolate piece! I'm no coffee person, I just needed to buy something since I was hanging out here. It's not a fancy or well decorated cafe, but it was a convenient spot that has seating available but indoors and outdoors. Not too shabby!

Ideal for a laid-back and relaxing coffee date. Service is Ok. I came here for an affogato apparently they no longer serve it.

One of my favorite coffee shops. Good coffee friendly service. The logo is nice shows a touch of Italy. I remember speaking with Rafael many years back. This is his creation as I remember. Great place in the Pearl. Nice windows to watch the rain. Each coffee comes with a piece of chocolate. Nice treats in the case and some lunch items. Today a jewelry stand someone was selling their wares. I had an americano. Nice a bit nutty flavor, crisp and clean. I was given a number and they bring your order to your table. Nice touch. Nice attention to detail, presentation of your order. Good mix of clients working on their laptops or meeting with friends. A couple of doors so you will see people come from different sides which adds to the flow and decor. I brought my laptop...creating the review here this evening. Oh no a downpour outside and I parked a couple of blocks away. I will stay a bit longer and wait for a break in the rain.

I love this cafe I go to school right around the corner and it's most of the students go to cafe. I really like the staff they are always so friendly, patient and helpful. The cookies are amazing.

Absolutely fantastic. Came in from out of town and wanted a true Portland coffeehouse experience. Unfortunately, the ones we found, and walked into were nothing special at all. We walked up and down Pearl district, Alphabet District, and a few other areas just to find a yummy café. One of them was completely dirty, I was not going to have my coffee there at all. Another one, the steamer was broken and they were only serving iced drinks, the third one noted pastries and food on Yelp, yet there was only two items in the case, (and we came in the morning). All that to say, we were getting some coffee Hangry on and looked again at Yelp and found this gem. My Cardamom Rose mocha was full of flavor, delicious and hot, served right away, even though they were very busy. We ordered some goodies as well and they were delicious. Everyone in there was kind and went out of their way to show support to their patrons. Who I imagine was the owner, went up to every table and everyone in line to greet them and smile at them. This is what an elevated Portland café should be about! Not about how grungy it is and all the different flavors of mushrooms that they serve with a bad attitude. Trust me, you can find that on every corner! When we are back in town, we will definitely go out of our way to visit this amazing spot!

Stop by during a coffee crawl in Portland! Inside it's a really nice little spot to enjoy coffee, chat with friends or do work! I love how big and open the coffee bar was so you watch them make coffee! Everyone was super friendly and helpful! I got the honey oat latte and it was delicious! If you like coffee and for it to be sweet definitely try it! I really enjoyed how it wasn't overly sweet and overwhelming.

Great coffee shop for a quality brew! I love that they give you little chocolates with your drink. Just so you know, the espresso spritz was tasty, but just a bit too sweet for my taste.

Espresso and coffee makes the day for lots of peeps in The Pearl District. This is a bustling coffee shop to hang out inside or outside sidewallk table in the shade of trees. Cool vibe. I am really enjoying my cappuccino with a complementary chocolate. Also, serving up a spot of tea, cold drinks, yummy pastries and some sandwiches.

The space feels cozy, welcoming, and full of personality. I especially loved the little post-it wall where customers can leave behind anything they want a small detail that makes the café feel even more personal and community-driven. What I ordered: Soft Cream Matcha One of the creamiest matchas I've ever had! The soft cream was incredibly fluffy and smooth, while the matcha itself was bold enough to come through with every sip and also had a coconuty essence to it. It had just the right amount of sweetness without overpowering the matcha. If you love a rich, creamy matcha, this is definitely one to try. Es-Yen A classic Thai-style iced coffee made with condensed milk. This was strong, sweet, and definitely had that much-needed wake-me-up effect! The condensed milk gave it a creamy sweetness while still allowing the bold coffee flavor to shine through. It was the perfect balance of sweet and strong exactly what I needed. Buttered & Sweetened Condensed Milk Toast I originally had my eye on the pandan toast, but it's clearly a popular choice because it was already sold out earlier in the day! So I went with the buttered and sweetened condensed milk toast instead, and I'm so glad I did. The toast was crispy on the outside, buttery, warm, and finished with that sweet condensed milk flavor. Every bite practically melted in my mouth. The pandan toast is definitely on my list for next time! My Portland experience was made even better by my stop at Kaleido Coffee. The owners were so sweet and welcoming, taking the time to give me recommendations and making sure everyone was taken care of even during a busy rush. Until next time, Portland!

The vibe is definitely small bar coffee shop, probably more grab and go than dine in. For my visit, I opted for two espressos, their house blend and a Coava single origin. Unfortunately, both suffered from a grind that was a little too fine, resulting in bitterness that was overwhelming in each. The single origin had some promise, with some pleasant acidity in the background, but it couldn't break through the bitter. Things were a little better in my wife's mocha, which had a deep chocolate flavor and silky smooth milk, it paired well with the cinnamon knot pastry we shared. It manages to be effortlessly cool without being intimidating, and the quality of the coffee is consistently top-tier. Here is why it's my favorite corner of the Pearl District: The Coffee Curation: What sets Barista apart is that they are a multi-roaster cafe. They feature a rotating selection of the best beans from across the country (and locally!). Whether you're drinking a pour-over or a traditional macchiato, the flavor profiles are always distinct and expertly pulled. Masterful Latte Art: The baristas here are true artists. Every drink looks like a masterpiece, but more importantly, the milk texture is always silky and perfectly steamed. The Aesthetic: The space is stunning. With its dark wood accents, industrial-chic lighting, and those massive windows looking out onto the cobblestone streets of the Pearl, it's the perfect spot to people-watch or get lost in a book. It feels like a cozy, sophisticated library for coffee lovers. The Staff: Despite being one of the busiest spots in the neighborhood, the staff is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. They are always happy to nerd out about tasting notes or help you pick a bag of beans to take home. The Vibe: It's a great balance of "neighborhood regular" and "must-visit destination." It captures that classic Portland energy perfectly. Pro Tip: Pair your drink with one of their fresh pastries--their selections are always fresh and complement a bold espresso perfectly. Love how amazing the staff is. And the coffee is chef's kiss. Thank you!

It was a weekday, probably around 11 am and there were just so many people in line. It was really cute inside but SO chaotic. There were tons of kids screaming and at times it was difficult to tell where the line really was. After about 5 minutes of the line not moving, I started to get a slight headache from the noise and we agreed we would have to go somewhere else. It was probably for the best as all the indoor and outdoor seating was full so there would have been nowhere for us to eat even if we had braved the line. I think when a business reaches this level of popularity, it's important to put systems in place to keep patrons from feeling crowded and overwhelmed and it's definitely something they might want to look into in the future.
