sweet little spot with great seating on the second floor. breakfast here is quite good - was pleased with the travelers breakfast and also the eggs Benedict that my table ordered. definitely recommend this spot if you are a tourist near by. a lot of the other breakfast places are closed during this time so it's nice to see this spot open. food took a bit of time to come and they served four out of five parties and made the last one wait for a decent bit. outside of that though, no issues. service was polite and friendly and bathrooms were clean.

It's good that their mimosa has different flavors to choose from. They have 2 mimosa for $10 deal. But too bad that the deal has to be the same flavor. The egg Benedict is good, but it seems it's a bit more on the simple side. They could have added a bit of greens to make it look and taste better. Service is a bit slow, but that's common here. The cafe is within a hotel, right after the check in/lobby area.

A wonderful relic of early times this brunch spot has the eligance of a bygone era with all the local flavor. Food was served fresh and hot. Flavorful, and well received. Service was great and space is small and intimate. While the wait is on a first come bases, be reminded that this restaurant is shared with hotel guests.

Stopped for breakfast and had the most delicious pancakes!! We had no wait time and were seated immediately. The Café is located within a hotel, so there is limited seating. I would recommend coming early before tables fill up. The blueberry pancakes were tasty and very filling!

This place was located in a hotel in San Juan. It was very small however a great place for us to go to which they didn't have a wait like the other popular brunch spots. Didn't personally have the passion fruit mimosa but heard it was good. The omelets were good. The server was extremely kind and gave us recommendations around the city. Enjoyed my experience here.

Cafe Mimosa is a cute brunch spot in The heart of Old San Juan. This place is tiny tiny, but it's a hidden gem connected to a hotel, so there isn't really a wait. When you're inside, you'll see the interior has beautiful lighting as well as decorations. Our waitress was super nice and pretty funny. She was working hard for that tip. I see you girl! The food is pretty good and the portions are huge! I didn't love the potatoes, but that's okay. Everything can't be a winner!

Super friendly staff (even thought place was packed). Food was great and served fast.

We made a reservation in the morning when we docked in San Juan since I read they stay busy. Atmosphere: Upon arrival, there was a short wait for 2 of us. The eatery has inside seating however with 5 full length doors to the outside it feels like an open air kinda eatery. There's a large countertop eating bar in the middle of the restaurant & an additional eating area in the back, but overall it's a pretty small dining spot. Food: Tried to make a few alterations to my dish such as scramble the omlette instead of the traditional fold it & add an over easy egg to the sandwich. They said the kitchen is very particular about the presentation of the food so no "scrambled" omelette & the over easy egg had to be on the side in case the yolk popped on the sandwich before making it to the table. Ok! Veggie omlette was really flavorful. Full of diced veggies. The avocado I added was such a nice consistency. Yes it was ripe but I think it's a different variety of avocado than we tend to get in mainland US. With the omelette plate, I substituted french toast ($6 up charge) for the regular toast. The french toast was soft & fluffy. Very good. The dish also came with a generous portion of hand cut French fries. It would have been better if they were hot but they were still good. My husband got the Cuban sandwich & added an over easy egg & said the sweet plantain on the sandwich was unexpected & really made it quite good. Pricing: Price point may be considered moderate to moderately higher, but you're on holiday and the food & ambiance are good. Breakfast was $78 before tip for 2 entrees (with add ons), 2 specialty coffees, 1 juice & $4 for unlimited filtered water. All in all, it was a heck of a lot of food, tasty, and I left very satisfied. I definitely recommend it!

I started with a hot latte. It was delicious. Creamy milk and nice coffee flavor. I scooted the whipped cream to the side but enjoyed the cinnamon flavored egg bread with fresh fruit. We asked our server about interesting places to visit while we walked around San Juan. We couldn't choose amongst all the empty tables, because staff were rude and dismissive. AC wasn't working, so we felt the humidity and heat. Ceiling fans weren't cutting it. We got the $25 wagyu burger and $20 Mallorca chicken sandwich, both of which were dry, bland, and underwhelming at best. The burger patty lacked flavor and there was no sauce or any accompaniments besides a very sad, wilted, thin slice of tomato and lettuce leaf. Pretty bad burger! The chicken sandwich was so heavily fried, we almost broke our teeth against the chicken. Insanely salty--we couldn't take more than a few bites. Felt so parched for the rest of the day. Fries were the best part of the meal--so salty and thin.

AMBIANCE Parking: Old San Juan rules--come early or be ready to walk. Seating: Multiple seating areas for individuals and small groups but it's also a cafe too so there is seating in the back too. Vibes: Clean, modern café with a mix of locals and tourists. You can tell people come here for the coffee, not just to pass through. It leans more intentional and coffee-focused rather than just aesthetic--which I appreciated. FOOD / DRINKS Coquito Frap (Recommend) When in Puerto Rico, Coquito. The vibe was great, the food was fresh and well made, and the service was friendly overall. A fun bonus: we actually got to see the famous rock band Maná dining there, which was such a cool surprise! The kids' quesadilla was a huge hit with our 5-year-old (who is a picky eater and devoured it). The veggie fajitas were decent and tasty, though for the price I would have liked a bit more on the plate in terms of sides. There was a small hiccup where cilantro was accidentally added to one of my dishes, and it did take quite a while for the corrected dish to come out, but they were very kind about it. That said, everything else was enjoyable and the overall experience was still very good. Overall, a great spot for solid Mexican food in Old San Juan with a fun atmosphere and fresh flavors.

St. Germain Bistro Bar happened to be right across from our Airbnb, and honestly it felt like we got lucky. Even though it was late, they seated us right away and helped us pull together two small tables so our family could sit comfortably. My kids were starving, so that alone was a huge relief. The portions for the kids' pasta and chicken nuggets were a little smaller than expected, but the flavor and quality were excellent. You could tell the food was made with care. I ordered the onion soup and the fried cheese with guava dip and wow. Absolutely delicious. The guava dip especially was incredible. I also had a mojito that was perfectly made. But what really made the night unforgettable was the kindness of the staff. My son had forgotten his inhaler and was having a hard time adjusting to the humidity. He was coughing a lot and clearly uncomfortable. Vianca noticed right away and went out of her way to help. She brought over honey and encouraged him to take a little shot with ginger and honey, then brought hot tea as well. She even suggested things like putting socks on him and using Vicks when we got back. When I mentioned that my kids are half Puerto Rican and their abuela already swears by those remedies, she just lit up and said, "Well you're home then, you already know what to do." That moment really stuck with me. The warmth, the care for kids, the genuine hospitality. It's exactly the kind of Puerto Rican kindness people talk about. The kitchen is small, so service can be a little slower, but it's absolutely worth the wait. The food is great, the drinks are great, and the people make the place special. If you're nearby, definitely stop in. Places like this are why people fall in love with Puerto Rico.

Also, our waitress was really nice and friendly, which raised the mood of the evening considerably. Other than that, though, I'm afraid I can't recommend this restaurant.
