Been here many times... the food is amazing, I get all different types of things but always find myself coming back to the veggie chick pea soup! So delicious, filling, and light! A personal fave. They just came out with a cottage cheese protein bowl with hot honey that I love. Super filling, full of protein etc. This place is awesome because the ingredients are fresh, light, and you feel good eating the food and you feel good leaving too. Definitely a go to spot when I need something clean and quick. I went last night and for the first time, it was not quick at all. I'm not sure what was happening.. if there were new people in training or if their process just wasn't it.. but it was super slow. Seemed strange. I really enjoy this restaurant chain for quick and simple meals. I usually get a pick 2, salad and soup. They have delicious soups, and I've never had a bad one. My favorites are the roasted red pepper lobster bisque, mushroom bisque or Wisconsin cheese & cauliflower mix! The salads are cheaper if you do a pre- selected option, rather than a BYO, which has you pay for individual ingredients. My current favorite is chipotle ranch glazed over spinach with quinoa. Be sure to add a house drink, as they make fresh squeezed juice without any added sugar or ingredients. The best part is everything comes with a chocolate covered strawberry! read more

But as you can see from the photo, they filled it up barely halfway, so it wasn't a lot of food. The French bread is a kind of a dense, sticky refrigerated roll. And you get a chocolate dipped strawberry with the soup. I might come back and see if they fill up the bowl higher next time, otherwise it's really a tiny amount of soup. read more

I LOVE cafe Zupas!! I always have a positive experience and remove my food quickly. They have so many options ranging from salads to soups, salads and even desserts. I personally love the ultimate grilled cheese. This panini style sandwich is cooked to perfection and the pesto is a great flare to a classic grilled cheese. I also really appreciate their Choose 2 option which allows you to choose 2 different dishes for a discounted price. This is great for me as I always want to try so much from the menu. read more

My wife's cauliflower soup was excellent. My Italian sandwich was the biggest rip-off I have experienced at a restaurant. For $8, you'd think the meat and cheese would allow you a decent bite. Meat slices (granted, there were four) were literally 1/32" each. So little meat, cheese, and dressing that there was virtually no flavor other than the bread, which was plentiful. Do NOT EVER order this sandwich. Run, don't walk to either Subway or Jersey Mike's for a sandwich with flavor and one that has more than twice the ingredients for the same price. read more

I have driven by Cafe Zupas innumerable times in running errands and have thought of stopping by for lunch and finally did so. I regret not doing so sooner. The food is very good and seems much healthier than McD's and other fast food equivalents. I had a soup and salad combo. The soup was chicken noodle. The broth had a nice chicken flavor, there were actual chunks of chicken, and the pasta was fresh and not soggy. I had a chicken pesto sandwich which was fresh and flavorful. Also just in case I was still hungry there was a soft roll. Lastly there was a large strawberry dipped in chocolate. My wife had the lobster bisque and chicken salad. I sampled both. The salad was excellent but I thought the bisque was just okay. But at the price one should not expect big chunks of lobster meat. All in all a very good meal. Service is friendly and the ambiance is cheerful and clean. I will definitely be back. read more

Every time I go to Madison, I can't remember the name of this place. My wife reminds me it's the cafe near World Market. But I've now eaten there several times. I love going here. I've never had a bad meal. Everything is fresh. Then they give you a chocolate strawberry that sometimes is the size of a racquetball. Wow My only complaint is you can get a half a sandwich with soup or salad. And I'm like, "Can I get a whole sandwich? A big bowl of soup AND a salad?" It's really that good. I want it all! This is a great place for a quick, healthy lunch. It's slightly similar to panera but way better! They have great selections of protein bowls, salads, sandwiches and soups. What I really like about Cafe Zupas is how many soup options they have. They have like twelve kinds of soup you can get!! Every kind I try is really good too. So far my favorites were the mushroom bisque, roasted red pepper and lobster, and lobster bisque. On to the sandwiches. They picture their sandwiches as these big, thick, delicious looking sandwiches. When you get it, it's pretty small and wimpy. Don't get me wrong, they are really good, but I wish they were bigger. Honestly, the first time at Cafe Zupas impressed me so much, I keep coming back! The food is so fresh and tasty - I get cravings for this place! My go to order is the pick 2 mangoberry salad (yummy!) and the tomato basil soup (so creamy and delicious!). They have a number of salads, sandwiches, and soups all to whatever your craving is! One of my highlights about this place (besides the food of course!) is the staff. Everyone is always so cheerful, friendly, and in a good mood. It creates such a positive experience. I ordee zupas pretty often as they deliver to a drop spot at work. Love this feature and it makes it so enticing to have zupas multiple times a week for lunch. I've also done their curbside pickup and they do an amazing job and have throughout this past year. The food is always so good and I'm a huge fan of all of their soups and these are usually my go-to dishes. I feel good knowing they have made from scratch meals and who doesn't love a chocolate-covered strawberry once you're done eating. Their customer service is not as high quality as their food and other services they offer. On a recent visit I gave some feedback about some poor food ingredients that were included in my meal. I received an email back asking to show photo evidence which funny enough I had but then heard nothing after. It is rare to have poor food quality with zupas so when it happened I felt the need to reach out but I'm sad about the lack of response. read more

Stingy on butter, small cups and cold food. Ordered pick 2 for 2 people with drinks, cost $27. Ate in, no line or very many people here. No excuse for cold food. Sandwich and soup was barely warm, almost cold. They didn't give us butter which is normally at the drink area. Asked for butter, he gave us ONE packet for a $27 meal for 2 people, wanted us to split a butter packet. Asked for 3 more, he had to get manager approval, seriously. Just because they are wrapped in gold foil doesn't mean they are gold bars! Cups are half the size (about 10 ounces) that they were forcing you to make constant refills. How about we do this; you keep for 30 cents in butter you're hoarding and I'll keep my 30 dollars. Makes no sense to be stingy on this. The cold food and stinginess of butter and drink size made the place unenjoyable and a very poor value. read more

Would recommend the tomato basil soup and the steak sandwich. The chocolate strawberry at the end was a fun treat that you didn't feel too guilty about eating. The meal fit into my current diet/macros nicely. This is a nice alternative to my typical chipotle burrito bowl. The service was fast. The staff was very helpful.
