    dilled egg salad sandwich
    Abbie F.

I LOVE the dill egg salad here! I can't get anything else. Sometimes I order a 1/2pint and a loaf of bread and that some of the best meals for a couple days with some lettuce. I also love the egg salad salad and the egg salad sandwich. The sandwich comes with a crisp and flavorful pickle and homemade chips. The salad comes with a mixed greens blend, two scoops of egg salad and a piece of focaccia bread. The seating outside is lovely and a great way to enjoy the outdoors without the direct sunlight due to the overhead coverage. Service is always friendly!

Shared a Chocolate with Buttercream frosting Patticake to celebrate an office birthday - wow was it the bomb! Rich and moist cake, deep chocolate, and creamy frosting. Beautifully wrapped in a box with ribbon - perfect for sharing and celebrating!

Ordered to-go and would recommend steak sandwich! Delicious lunch with a large portion of a steak patty! I was happily surprised it wasn't steak bites/strips. The chocolate chip cookie is flat and very crunch, BUT very tasty warmed up!

Yum is a local staple! What I love about Yum is that they have handy parking and the space is so large that you can almost always find a table here. It tends to be busy, but that's a good sign of course! On our last visit in, it took a while to have our food brought out during lunch rush - next time will opt to order something more casual. I had the salmon rice dish: the salmon was great, but the rice was too doused in sauce and wasn't as enjoyable. I'd opt for something else next time. They definitely excel in their baked goods! It can be a little tricky ordering gluten free here - there are some naturally GF items, but no options to sub gluten free bread or pastry options. My husband LOVES their Patticake slice - a classic and must try.

Crispy Brussel Sprouts and Greek salad

Stopped in during the week for lunch with my mom. I love the interior of this location as they have a huge glass window in front so tons of natural light shining in. They also have plenty of seating in front and in back. The servers were very friendly and prompt with bringing out our orders. We ordered the crispy Brussel sprouts and Greek salad with grilled chicken. The Brussels were so good and I'd highly recommend ordering to share. The Greek salad was just ok-the dressing lacked flavor and was a little too bland for my liking but wasn't bad. They have a wide variety of other salads, dishes and baked goods that I'd love to try next time I visit.

Large Macaroni & Cheese and Turkey Focaccia (but on challah bread)

Cute spot and great for large groups. You seat yourself and you order at the counter. The menu is comprehensive but I wish there was a kids menu. They seem to be family-friendly but it is hard to order for a child. For example, for me to get my child the chicken and fries they asked for I would have to pay $10 for 2 pieces of chicken and $8 for fries. The mac and cheese was good, and more importantly, my kids liked it! I like the turkey sandwich - loved the fresh onion and red pepper aioli. I also noticed that they focus on sustainability (glass cups, no straws, reusable napkins), but would be great to have some plastic or melamine cups for kids to avoid accidents. Overall cute place and I'll go back but hope they add kid-friendly meals to the menu!

This place definitely draws a lunch crowd! I was surprised to see it still so popular, especially since the last time I was here about 10 years ago. At that time, it was just a bakery. The food presentation is impressive. The vibrant colors show fun and freshness. The flavors were solid, and the portions were a great deal. I ordered the salmon couscous salad, and the salmon was excellent. There was a generous serving of lettuce and couscous, though I felt the dish needed a bit more dressing to bring everything together. Maybe there was dressing, but just not quite enough. My friend's sandwiches all looked fantastic as well! I also heard great things about the coconut cake, so I could not resist ordering a piece to go. I cannot wait to try it and see if it lives up to the hype!

Whoa, this place was popping on a weekday afternoon. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but there does appear to be overflow parking across the street. They have two counters you can approach one for bakery items and another for food and bakery items. The menu is quite extensive in addition to the items they have on display for pastries and other baked goods. I don't think you can go wrong ordering anything. I had the tuna Sandwich which was monstrous, and more than enough food for one person. It came with a side of chips, but I ordered fries on the side, which were OK. I love the friendly atmosphere and brightness from all the natural light. The service was also friendly and prompt. Would absolutely be back for food and pastries. If you're looking for a recommendation for treats, the special K bar is a must.

Busy neighborhood breakfast, lunch, and dinner restaurant priced on the high moderate end. It's in a decent neighborhood so they get plenty of customers. You order at the register, get a number sign, and the food is delivered to your table. I personally much prefer this to dealing with waiters. Healthy food well presented. Unfortunately this trip I was shorted on the sandwich. Had ordered a chicken salad sandwich for lunch at the 4000 Minnetonka Blvd location. I ordered extra tomato, which I was charged extra for, for 14.60 with tax. I didn't get the extra tomato and got 8 squares of chicken, it barely took any space. Looking at the other sandwiches, I think you normally get about double that. I mentioned not getting the extra tomato I paid for and they gave me another slice. Just be careful on the sandwiches to open and check on portion size first.

Absolutely delicious! Quick service, good portions, fresh ingredients! The fish tacos were "build your own" which was a little messy, but the flavor was awesome.

Went here after a hike and this just hit the spot. The person who took our order was super friendly and knowledgeable. Ingredients were super fresh and tasty. The only negative I'd have to say would be the iced tea. I wish there was an option without the artificial sweetener. I could definitely taste it. I would have preferred no sweetener if possible. Other than that, I would love to try the other fixings.

    Latte & Cinnamon Pull - A - Part

Walked in and ordered 3 takeout lunches during lunchtime. Service was quick and we had a pleasant experience at the restaurant. All 3 lunches were amazing - chicken club, grilled cheese, and chicken salad all received rave reviews. We also purchased the cinnamon pull apart bread which had great flavor but was unfortunately dry. I have stopped at Yum to pick up dessert several times. Unfortunately I find every time that although they have great flavor, every bakery item is dry!!! I'm not sure the cause for dry baked goods but I hope they figure out a solution. Overall, highly recommend for a meal.

Not so yum! Takeout [Minneapolis MN] Our lunch from our Day 2 Workshop was provided by yum! Kitchen, a restaurant in Minneapolis MN. I ordered the Fish & Chips (alaskan cod & french fries w/ house tartar sauce). I love fish & chips but I should've known that it is best when consumed immediately... my fish & chips did not travel well. They were a bit soggy, especially the fries. Some parts remained crunchy though and I enjoyed those. Until I get a chance to actually dine in the restaurant this is all I can review about. The orders were to go and was picked up by one of our colleagues. I'm sure they have other things I may like, but the fish & chips was not the best for take out. For now, 3.5-Stars. Hope to make it back again soon. Review #3184

Martina is an ace with its bold flavored Argentinian cuisine and relaxing atmosphere. We dined on the patio, but whether you are seated inside or out, the ambiance is adorned with green plants, natural wood, and clean lines for a modern aesthetic that pleases today's diner. The food was a pleasure. The secret to the bold flavors is in the sauce. We started with an order of the grilled bread and a dozen oysters. I'll never say no to raw oysters (even on some occasions when I should have), but these were a great experience. The vinegar sauce served with these was a unique version that when paired with a dash of the shredded horseradish and a squeeze of lemon juice, the oysters were a punch of zingy perfection. The salted, vinegar infused butter that came with the bread elevated the dish. I chose the halibut for my entree and it was lovely (halibut is a win in any format). However, I would highly recommend the ribeye. My son got that and I sampled a piece with the accompanying chimichuri sauce and it was heavenly. The oils chosen to create that sauce were very well thought out so it made for not-your-typical ribeye and lent itself to something flavorfully unique. We want to return! Putting this on our list of faves when in Minneapolis/St Paul.

It's a restaurant, perhaps reflecting its neighborhood, where people have an occasional beer, but George and the Dragon isn't a drinking hole. That changes the ambiance. The patrons looked well-off, but in that way in which they try hard not to look like they have money. Most of them wore clothes that made them look as if they had just come off the tennis court, or their bike, or after running a five-mile for a great cause. My wife and I still try to look nice when we go out. We don't dress down. Most of the people at George & the Dragon were in their fifties or sixties, including the servers, who were very earnest, if you know what I mean. I'm in my seventies, grew up in NYC, and still try to look hip, and I drink vodka quite often. Maybe that's why I felt uncomfortable. That decade and a half makes a huge difference in how we grew up, and what I experienced in the sixties and seventies. The food was okay, not great. The burger and chicken schnitzel tasted fair to middling. The room was also very loud, filled with exclamations from the tables of "women who lunch," feeling more comfortable with no men at their tables. That's also a demographic and Minneapolis thing. I doubt I'll return to George and The Dragon. I like bars.
