I love capt loui!! This is my current favorite spot for crawfish in carrollton :")…read more The crawfish is always so fresh and hot and i love to get my boils with the extra hot capt loui sauce!! They have several combo bags for 2-4 lbs of seafood that you can mix and match, and i love that they have a qr code to scan to calculate how much the market price for each item is! We also got to try some of their drinks and they were pretty good!! I like the adult caprisun bags c: Service is also always so friendly and i like how the space feels more open and calm compared to other spots! Will def be back frequently for this crawfish season!!

Went to Capt Loui for lunch and had mixed feelings about the experience. The food itself was great…read more The crab was fresh, well-seasoned, and definitely the highlight of the visit. Unfortunately, the service was questionable. Our server had difficulty communicating in English, which led to a costly misunderstanding. When we ordered crab, she never asked what type of crab we wanted and instead assumed king crab, which is significantly more expensive than other options. As a result, our bill was much higher than expected. To make matters worse, a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill without it being mentioned to us beforehand. While restaurants may choose to add gratuity in certain situations, customers should be clearly informed so there are no surprises. My advice: enjoy the food, but be very specific when ordering. Confirm exactly what type of crab you're getting, verify the pricing, and check your bill carefully. Also remember that gratuity should be clearly communicated and not assumed. Better communication would have made this a much better overall experience.I'd rate it 2.5 out of 5 stars. Great food, but the service and communication issues took away from the experience.

The shrimp lacked flavor and the fries were nothing special. I was not impressed with the po'boy, but maybe, I need to try to seafood boil in a bag. This place was just okay to me. I'll have to try something else as I was not impressed.

Ever been hangry but can't figure out what to stuff in your belly? That's me tonight on a Tuesday…read more I ended up here and, honestly, I don't know that I'd go back. I got a small gumbo and catfish nuggets at 6.99 each. Even though they have a sign on the door for drink specials, apparently they didn't last more than like two months because they aren't offering that anymore. So I just asked for a water cup. 15.12 and you order at the counter and get your own drink. The water button on the soda machine sticks, so prepare for it to run for like a full 45 seconds before it magically unsticks. Gumbo came out in about ten minutes, but weirdly wasn't hot. Catfish nuggets came out about ten minutes after that (weird since they are both apps) and I asked for my soup to be reheated. I tried a nugget and it was ok, but there's like zero seasoning on them. Bland as my last tinder date people. For a place that touts New Orleans in the name, there's no creole/cajun influence here. Everything was just bland, especially the gumbo. By the way, he took it to reheat and by the time he returned it (14 min later) I needed to leave. He was nice enough to give me a lid and bag though. Service was ok, but there's like one guy and when he disappeared it was for ten minutes. I don't know if he was having to cook it or what but it made service slow. I've visited three times now and feel a three is appropriate. It's fine if you aren't looking for what the name implies.

We went on a Friday during lunch- the parking is a little cramped but there are a ton of spaces in…read moresatellite parking lots out behind the place. We were seated with no problem. My food was fantastic as was my fiancé's and our appetizer. The service was very friendly but perhaps not enough of them- took a LONG time between check in's and waiting for drinks and our tickets, etc. I wouldn't call this lunch hour friendly by a long shot if you need to get back to work. I could definitely see how they're more of a laid back stay a while kind of spot. I look forward to bringing my mom here for this coconut shrimp. Might update on the next visit but it's knocked a star for being forgotten about for 15 mins at a time for now.

Tables were dusty outside Had to ask twice for napkin…read morebecause I used my napkin to dust the table. Had to get up and get my own napkin. Hector NEVER prebussed our table, but stood and talked forever for bill paying and still walked away empty handed. I was out of water for a while. He refilled sodas but not my water. I asked for water he sat a picture of water at the other end of table. I asked for two separate plates for sharing a meal. Never brought it. I had to ask someone else. I used to be in this business for years and trained my servers. He definitely needs more training. PERIOD!!! You never know who you're serving. Everyone deserves best service, especially to get at least a 15% tip. Very good service for me gets more than 20%!! If I have to think of the lack service I'm getting, bad service. If I am taken care of, I get to enjoy my company and family. Us excellent servers deserve excellent serves back. T o I mprove P romptness Food was good. But, please bring out the entire table's order. A couple of us are polite not to eat before everyone gets their meal. 7 minutes was a long time for food to get cold. So, I'll come back without his service, please.
