Sriracha Honey Fried Chicken & Waffles

Tupelo Honey was a great experience and I'll definitely be back. Here are some of the highlights. Nestled in the midst of The Star in Frisco you'll find Tupelo Honey. From the moment you enter you transport to a feel good 'at home' atmosphere. The service was strong and attentive. And the food... delicious. We started with the fried okra appetizer and were pleasantly surprised by how good it was. Great flavor and texture. For lunch, I had the spicy chicken and waffles with a side of goat cheese grits and they did not disappoint. Strong showing - not my favorite local chicken and waffles but a strong entry into the conversation. The grits were cooked to perfection and very flavorful. My wife had the baked chicken dish and loved it. I had a bite of it and was very impressed. If you're heading to Frisco, highly recommend this restaurant for a brunch that will not disappoint.

We started with the brussels sprouts, and the sauce that came with it was delicious and the brussels sprouts were wonderfully crispy. I loved the added goat cheese. The biscuits were very dense and almost hard to swallow. The chicken breast was dry and hard to cut through. The sauce that it came with was just OK, but nothing special. The fries seemed like they just came from the frozen aisle of a grocery store. The salads were very simple and used store-bought salad dressing, which was disappointing, especially for the ranch. I always love, salmon, but I couldn't finish this salmon because the taste was not good and it was much too fishy. I liked the crust on the outside. I also really love mac & cheese, but I also couldn't finish it because it was not good and had an off flavor. The Mississippi mud pie was the best part of the meal besides the brussels sprouts. The ambience inside feels like a hotel restaurant and the service was OK.

Really enjoyed our visit here. Ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy, love the decor of the restaurant. Ordered the biscuits, the salmon & the fried green tomatoes. The food was very good, the fried green tomatoes were on the heavier side (& what you would expect of a fried item). Biscuits were delicious & affordable! Service was fine. Food didn't take long to come out of the kitchen and server was attentive. Will be back!

A nice, chill brunch spot! Really enjoyed the shrimp & grits and also liked the interesting Southern twist on shakshouka that also includes grits, which makes it more substantial. My SIL loved the chicken & waffles too. Great location at The Star with plenty of free garage parking. Service was good also.

We ordered cheese burger and it was delicious!

Cheeseburgers very good! They have the 2x $22 menu and me and my son ordered cheeseburgers. We love it!

Great patio, could do more like use the bar maybe add music. The food is pretty good but don't go for happy hour. They do not have a good happy hour menu or special happy hour drinks Go for lunch or dinner you have better options

I've been here a couple of times and my experience has been consistent. It was friendly and timely. The weather was nice out so we did patio seating; that and the surrounding scenery was enjoyable. So many great menu options, but I opted for the Fried Chicken. I love the tenderness and honey dusted seasoning that makes for a great bite 10/10. The side of fries were pretty tasty as well. I sampled the mac n' cheese and made a mental note to get the full serving next time - it was good!

We visited this gem of a place recommended by a friend of ours bc it's his fav brunch place. We're not from the area so we weee excited to try. Walked in super cute decor and vibe. The waitress was super friendly and nice and gave us a run down of what's good to eat a specials they had. I ordered the Cesar salad with grilled shrimp. The salad came with dressing on it which I personally wasn't a fan of I felt like it was a bit much on the heavy side for dressing, the shrimp was good but smelled real fishy to me maybe could have been cooked a a bit longer. My husband ordered the fried chicken plate spicy sweet flavor and it came more saucy then we thought we were expecting like fried chicken and it was like tossed in a sauce of some kind we could have did without that. My son ordered French toast with a fried chicken tender and he had zero complaints and it looked tasty. My daughter ordered a kids pancake and they brought us a waffle instead but they brought us the pancake and let us keep the waffle so I ate that. It was delicious. Besides the over dressed salad an not so fried chicken everything was great.

You're very slow didn't like our food. It's a shame because the atmosphere is really nice and they have a nice patio, but we will not be returning.

This is mysecond time today having tupelo honey. I was lazy and did Uber eats for lunch Fried green tomatoes are really good Fried okra great. Biscuits and peach jam I like that theyre made in house. Burton salad, I liked this with the honey mustard is was spicy! The least favorite was the smothered chicken. Chicken was dry and gross. For dinner coconut and me sat outside. Whitney was our server and she was great. I love that they have a doggo menu!!! Tried the meat loaf and alot better than the chicken. Coconut had gotten the bacon with peanut butter smear. Of course I opted for another salad and some more biscuits

Great service and great food. The goat cheese grits were very surprisingly good because I typically don't like goat cheese at all. The waffles and chicken were very flavorful and the chicken was moist. The steak and eggs was a star and the white cream sauce was a great addition. The biscuits were disappointing and dry unfortunately

This place is phenomenal. We ordered dessert for the first time. Pies are NO good. I will say - we didn't love it. In fact, the peach cobbler was very disappointing. Zero flavor at all. When I arrived, I was waiting on two family members who were about 10 minutes away, so I went ahead to put our name in. The hostess told me I could go right in, which made it seem like a table was ready, but she never took my name or wrote anything down. After I explained I was waiting for two others, she said "okay" and then started taking names and numbers from other parties, leaving me off to the side without her saying anything else. It was odd, so I sat down. After sitting for maybe 5-7 minutes, I noticed she was taking names for parties of 2 and 3, which was confusing. When I asked about it, she said she already had my party and name even though she had never taken it. At that point, it felt like the Chinese restaurant episode of Seinfeld, where somehow you're waiting but also not really on the list. She finally took my name for a party of three and quoted a 30-45 minute wait, without accounting for the time already lost. My family members arrived shortly after, and we still waited another 20 minutes or so. Once we were seated, the service didn't improve much. Our server was extremely slow, and everything came out at once. We barely had time to get drinks, salads, or biscuits before the food arrived. Refills and additional requests felt more burdensome than attentive. While the food and drinks themselves were great, the overall service felt very disorganized and subpar.

My double cheeseburger emphasized the meat, well seasoned, right amount of pickles & greens, not overwhelmed with sauce. The tallow fries were as good as it ever gets: crispy, soft inside, must be 2x fried. Outside square had great World Cup fan area. We watched Colombia vs Uzbekistan. My team Croatia lost to England previously, but Haywire soothed my disappointment with an excellent dining experience. BTW: $638.04 with a 20% tip. Great value.
