Catfish with cheesy Étouffée, rice and hush puppies.
    Laura R.

We've been wanting to try for awhile, so happy we did. Husband got the fried catfish with cheesy étouffée. I had shrimp and grits. We had a side salad and cornbread. Everything was fresh and delicious. Friendly and attentive service!

One of our top 3 in the LE Frisco area. Started with Okra and Onion Rings, then Red Beans. We try everything here and it is all great. Haven't decided on dessert, bread pudding or beignets.

This restaurant is combined with the revel Patio grill which is interesting. Revel has live music that you typically have to pay a cover charge for. The crawfish was pretty good. I also tried their Carolina reapers wings and could barely taste the seasoning. We also tried their supreme pizza and it's pretty thin crust. It was pretty good.

Lots of tvs and seating inside. They have good ranch. The servers are pretty quick bringing stuff to you.

    Etouffee in the takeout container.

I got food to go. The Etouffee was very good. The portion was small - container 4 & 1/2 inch high. And it did not fill that container - see photo. The price of $19.99 is too much for the portion. But... the real shock was the starter of 3 CHEESE CRAWFISH DIP -$16.99, It is a total rip off. The portion was so small. It did not even fill the small container - 1 & 3/4 inch high.. See photo. There was crawfish, a sauce with a lump of cheese on top. The taste was good. It came with 8 pcs of bread. There was barely enough of it for two or three pcs. I would have taken it back but did not have time. Do not recommend.

Stop what you are doing and proceed to your Cajun heaven! Service was engaging and fun! The drinks were on point! We shared the crawfish dip on reco by Manny, and it did not disappoint! The crostini were fresh French bread buttered and griddle toasted. The dip had lots of crawfish and the perfect combination of creamy goodness and flavor. I got the catfish atchafalaya...And I'm from southern Mississippi about an hour and a half from Nola, and this was some of the best catfish I've had in years and years!!! The fish was fresh and tender, meaty but still light. The coating had amazing cornmeal crunch with a little heat! I had the crawfish étouffée over the rice/under the catfish, and it was a nice and dark, rich sauce. I really could not have asked for more! Manny did a great job orienting us and taking care of us, and we will be back very, very soon!!!

Keeps getting better and the crawfish is the bomb! The decorum and love events coming up is exciting! Karaoke and band to come... need I say more ? Nope except will be back again. Our service was very good and appreciated the attentive server to our needs.

The vibe is casual and welcoming, making it a great place to hang out with friends, catch a game, or just unwind after work. It has a neighborhood feel but still delivers on energy, especially during busy evenings and weekends. The drink selection is well-rounded with good beer options and cocktails, and the food is consistently satisfying for a bar-style menu. Service is generally friendly and attentive, even when the place gets crowded. What stands out most is the atmosphere--it's the kind of place where people actually stay and socialize instead of just stopping in briefly. Overall, The Angry Elephant is a solid go-to for a relaxed night out with good drinks, good food, and a comfortable, social environment.

We got a Bill Clinton Chili dog and Chuck Norris Chicken Sandwich; both came with either homemade chips or fries, so we got one of each. Portions were fine and exactly what we were looking for. Nice ambiance - sports, music, so we'll definitely be back.

Living in the Wildridge Community, I couldn't wait until this place opened - (we literally counted…read morethe days). I've been here 3 or 4 times with family and friends...and every time I come in I have a different experience. First time was the day of the "Opening". It was a somewhat disorganized. But I really didn't expect anything different, (totally understood because it just opened). 2nd time was super busy and I understood again; it was new, service was slow, but again they were new. 3rd time they had great entertainment, so I could totally tolerate the slow service because the entertainment was good. By now I consciously tolerated the slow service and decided it was worth it because the food was good! In the meantime, (weeks later) my daughter told me she ordered food to-go through Door Dash to pick up, and had to wait almost 30 min after she got there to get the food. She didn't complain, she said she had the time to wait. It's been open now 8 months and I put an order in to go yesterday with the worst experience yet! Tried to call four times to order food to-go, but we didn't get an answer and I left a message for them to call me back, but they never did (later the guy behind the bar told me it wasn't because they were that busy, but he explained there was only one phone and it was in the office on his desk!). WTH? Finally, we made the order online through Door Dash to pick up. I had out-of-town company that just drove in and they were starving, so I thought it would be perfect to order from Posh and Pours since it was so close to our house! Sadly it backfired on me! The Door Dash app showed that it would be ready at 7:07, I ordered it at 6:25. I went a little early, thinking it may be ready early (6:55). When I went in to pick it up, walked up to to the bar and told the guy behind the bar that I was picking up two different orders that my daughter and I had made on door dash, he casually turned around and asked the young lady working there to go check the Door Dash Orders. (He seemed too busy doing something else to even bother with me). She then walked over to an iPad and after reading something, she casually walks to the kitchen and I guess at that time puts an order in for the first time! Now keep in mind, the guy that asked her to check the orders on the iPad didn't care enough to relay the message that I told him I was picking up 2 orders! (Not sure he was really paying that much attention to what I was saying when I first spoke to him...very unengaged). I sat at the bar until about 7:25 (Remember Door Dash said it would be ready by 7:07). Finally after a while I caught her attention to ask her if she had put both orders in, and she acted really surprised, "2 orders"!? She only saw the one order! (Probably because that's all she was looking for)! Ugh...waited at the bar another 25 min...when she finally brought me the second order (first order had already gotten cold - it was now 7:55). The poor waitress, (obviously not happy to be there,) nor anyone else there had apologized, offered me something for my trouble, or said "thank you, and come back", NOTHING!! Service is sadly lacking, food is fair, management/owners don't seem to care or feel the need to give their customers a great experience to encourage them to return. I can't see this place lasting a year! Very sad!

Highlights include: * $10 double cheeseburger with a pickle * $3 East Coast oysters * Half-price drinks, including martinis and wine by the glass Overall, it is an excellent value for a really nice place. Atmosphere and Service The atmosphere and service are impeccable. After more than one visit, the bartenders may recognize you--or at least remember your beverage choices. The Bar Show The best part is the show. The people-watching at the bar is unlike anything else. Happy hour starts at 3:00, but the bar seats are usually full by 2:45. Latecomers often walk in, circle the bar, and leave when they realize there are no seats available. Many guests settle in for the full three hours, which creates its own entertainment. Then come the "watchers," each with a strategy for claiming a seat: * Look for someone nearing the end of a drink. * Watch for guests paying their bill. * Hover nearby, hoping a seat opens up. * Ask someone for a heads-up when they are about to leave. It is surprisingly entertaining, and the occasional bit of staff drama only makes it even better. Bottom Line Either way, it is a great deal for dinner, drinks, and a show, all with amazing service. Show up early--or come prepared with your own strategy.
