I added extra black pepper to Bourbon Sherry Linguine and yummy.

I have been visiting all the Tricky Fish Locations to compare. Decided to go and visit Frisco today. Richardson is my go to. I recently tried Fort Worth and had a blast. Frisco: Connor my waiter was AMAZING! Great Customer Service! Lunch Special Bourbon Sherry Linguine yummy and the perfect size for lunch. It's well seasoned and flavorful. Pasta is cooked perfectly and the shrimp were blackened this time. I usually get grilled, but mixed it up today. This location has Pepsi products this made me happy. This location is also cool and laid back. It was clean and comfortable. They gave us a free side of hush puppies. The hush puppies and butter were scrumptious. Guess location does make a difference. I enjoyed this location and will be back!

The shrimp and grits were delicious! The customer service was friendly. I also liked the atmosphere. The prices are reasonable. I would visit the location again.

Ambience was nice especially because it was a pleasant day and the windows are open at the bar. I ordered a jalapeño mule. It was great! Also got a calamari starter. Tasted good but just a little pricey. I didn't have time to try anything else but would definitely check it out again for a casual hangout.

Popped in on a cold and rainy week day. I did make a reservation but there was plenty of seating and tables. Service was wonderful. We had a kind young lady. We ordered some great seafood items- I had the nahi fish tacos, we had some salmon and shrimp- the gumbo and the boudin balls were on points. Reasonable prices. Good variety. Nice little early dinner at Tricky Fish at the Star. They have a great happy hour and we thoroughly enjoyed our margaritas! Go check them out.

Simply 10/10. Service is top notch, I wish I had gotten our bartender's name, but he was absolutely amazing! The food was incredible and the drinks are VERY good! Try the Frosted Pecan Place is very trendy and minimalist. Definitely going back!

We went to watch my cousin in the Army bowl & stopped by here to have dinner before hand and it did not disappoint. I ordered the Mac-n-cheese with blackened shrimp. It was amazing. The Mac-n-cheese was so cheesy & spiced to perfection. The 6 shrimp had a perfectly balance of spice not to salty or to over cooked. My uncle ordered the redfish tricked out. He said it was the best red fish he may have ever had. My cousin had the wilted spinach salad w/shrimp & marmalade sauce, onion rings and she said it was fantastic. Try this place out . My uncle also ordered a key lime pie w/ blueberry composte & 2 cups of coffee that he raved about.

I came here with my family and I have to say we had a good time and enjoyed the food and service as well. I had the chips and queso and calamari as starters. The chips are definitely made in house made and were scrumptious and the queso was decadent as well. The chips were perfectly fried in a kettle fashioned and had seasoning on then that helped enhanced flavor. The queso was cheesy with a tomato salsa in it. The calamari was fried perfectly, and seasoned well, if you love calamari this is fine high quality and perfectly seasoned and fried For my entree I ate the fried oysters with fries and mac and cheese. I really liked the fried oysters. They were seasoned, not too salty fried perfectly and a decent size as well. I definitely recommend them. The fries was ok to me nothing special in my opinion. The mac and cheese was very good. It was cheesy ,cooked perfectly, and a decent portion size. I wanted to have the hurricane for my cocktail but it wasn't ready yet, so I settled for a passion fruit frozen margarita. It was good, but also tart I definitely recommend you try out Tricky Fish for yourself

Great service Staff were friendly and professional Clean restaurant Great food Hush puppies while waiting for server is a nice gesture Great, fun ambiance Thank you Shemar is a fantastic server!! 5 stars

The remainder of my great food!!

The food was amazing! My honey had the shrimp po'boy & while the shrimp was good, fir him the bread was too hard! He also had the dirty rice & gumbo which he said was good!!! I tasted the gum o & it had a great flavor! I had the shrimp & catfish platter. Great choice! I don't care for catfish yet it was really good fried crispy. Fries well seasoned. Now the bad part, the bartender was straining the raspberry smash mixture & using a long handle spoon to press it through the strainer. He dropped the spoon in the trash, retrieved it , turned to to the handle side & begin using it again!!!

We really enjoyed dinner here. We went on Easter Sunday for dinner, and there were not many there, so we walked right in. Service was good, and we had no issues at all. We had been in this location before, but it was a bbq place, I believe. Inside was cool and clean. We started with the fried green tomatoes app & crab cakes.. delicious. They were so good. I had fish & shrimp and others for poboys. We will definitely be back. Yummy

First time at the star, we chose to have a meal at tricky fish. It was a week night so there wasn't much of a wait but the restaurant was pretty full. It's got a nice vibe going with some splashes of neon and color to separate it from the standard sports bar look. I appreciate the effort. Service was generally decent. Not memorable, but not bad either. The menu didn't feel overpriced and there is a good mix of choices between pastas and fish dishes. The kids split a generous portion of alfredo pasta served with shrimp (that's a new one) and chicken. It was tasty but the shrimp didn't really fly for my kid in terms of going with the pasta. They did love the fries we got on the side. Nicely seasoned. I liked the mac and cheese but the younger kid complained about the seasoning. I'll have to wean her off the kraft stuff ..... *barf*. The better half and I both had fish food, one with pasta and one with rice. It was pretty nicely done. I thought my portion looked small at first glance but I was more than full once i worked my way through the meal. We couldn't resist ordering the french toast sundae. That was a mix of over and underwhelming. Seriously awesome french toast with a scoop of checking all the boxes, standard vanilla ice cream. It needs a sauce or something to tie them together. It's the makings of an awesome dessert imo. Seriously dat french toast tho ... good. Tricky fish is pretty good. I would eat here again if in the area but I'm not sure I'd come specifically to eat here. I'd probably go back if the location wasn't such a PitA; who masterplans these places?

Our server was amazing--very personable, attentive, and gave us some great recommendations. We started with the dry-rub jerk wings, which were tasty and a generous portion, although I would have loved a little more of that bold jerk seasoning. I say approximately because we live about a 10 minute drive and we left our home about 6:20, but I digress. Upon our arrival we were seated and provided with water and menus. The business was not that crowded at this time and several tables had already been served or had their respective drinks. The bartenders were making drinks while the wait staff appeared to be behind the counter and occasionally seating newer customers. At 6:40 my wife was ready to leave, I told her I would give them to 7:00, at 6:59 our waitress came back to our table, the first time since she sat us. She took our drink order as well as our dinner order. At approximately 7:05 I saw the bartender making our drinks and place them at the end of the bar. During this time I believe that our wait staff was preparing one of our food items while the second wait staff was serving some customers in her are or taking orders. At 7:12 I went to the end of the bar to get our drinks but there was no glass for the wine as the bartender poured it out in a small carafe. So I left them at the bar. Mat 7:15 our waitress came staff got a wind glass and poured the carafe of wine into the glass at the bar and then brought the drinks to us. Approximately 7:25 our meals arrived. The Bar Show The best part is the show. The people-watching at the bar is unlike anything else. Happy hour starts at 3:00, but the bar seats are usually full by 2:45. Latecomers often walk in, circle the bar, and leave when they realize there are no seats available. Many guests settle in for the full three hours, which creates its own entertainment. Then come the "watchers," each with a strategy for claiming a seat: * Look for someone nearing the end of a drink. * Watch for guests paying their bill. * Hover nearby, hoping a seat opens up. * Ask someone for a heads-up when they are about to leave. It is surprisingly entertaining, and the occasional bit of staff drama only makes it even better. Bottom Line Either way, it is a great deal for dinner, drinks, and a show, all with amazing service. The speakeasy features stunning floors made of 120-year-old Italian wood, beautifully decorated with art, books, and a selection of premium entertainment and spirits. Patrons can request "prescriptions," which are 2oz alcoholic shots inspired by the owner's grandfather, who was a pharmacist. Cocktails and friendly service was provided by Emma and Kyle, their services were a nod to Bob Ruede, RPB's renowned Intoxicologist, along with other award-winning bartenders recognized for their excellence in service and hospitality. Eric, the Cigar Attendant, is knowledgeable about how to properly enjoy an exceptional cigar experience. The Mafia Room is an exclusive space perfect for guys' and girls' nights, intimate events, corporate gatherings, and celebrations. While Red Phone Booth offers exclusive membership tiers with premium perks, you don't need to be a member to enjoy the Prohibition experience. If you're interested in joining, visit redphonebooth.com to schedule a membership tour.
