Alright today was my first time trying this place was recommended by a family member and damn he wasn't wrong when he said "that's my favorite crawfish place" lmao I was like alright gotta give it a try one day and today was the day! The food service was stupid fast it seems like it only took 10 min but it was done the right way and fresh although I wasn't a big fan of the garlic flavor but the crawfish was really good and juicy and it was big 2 I rarely saw small ones in my to go box lol. And for a Wednesday and it was damn busy but I can see why this place was amazing though. I would definitely be back for more crawfish from this place love the food service and the service as well. Everything about their crawfish is amazing. I get their Garlic Butter seasoning and easily down 8-10 pounds by myself. Yeah, it's that good. You can really taste the seasoning in the meat of the crawfish. It's not like other places where the crawfish is just boiled and sprinkled on top with Cajun Spice. I also love their corn and sausage. I love that they provide butter sauce for you. Their sweet potato fries are also amazing. I love, love, love this freaking place. They have the best crawfish I've tasted in Houston. I get the original crawfish with no spice and it is to die for!! The crawfish are big and seasoned right. The only thing that I don't like is that they serve them in an aluminum pan. I'm from New Orleans where our crawfish is served in a clear bag so it makes me think that they are shortening me on my pounds. I'm just saying....are they weighing pre-aluminum pan or after they put it in the pan . Also they are a bit pricey...between $6.99- $7.99/ lb but again I'm from New Orleans where the crawfish is about $2-$3/lb. As for their food, their fried catfish and shrimp are a great choice too. Mmm Mmm Mmm! Simply, hands down one of my favorite Asian-style crawfish joints on the north side. Everything from the A+ customer service, food and prices are hard to beat anywhere else. I stumbled across this place one day while searching for crawfish in the area. The inside is very clean with plenty tables and 2 TV's. They serve can sodas, tea and bottled beer. I've been twice thus far and I commend them on how amazing and attentive the servers are. You can tell they're family-oriented and work well together. Both times I've been it's always been a nice crowd from babies to the old and we all had one thing in common- the love of crawfish. The first time I had the Cajun Favorite (2 lbs medium spice cajun flavored crawfish, 15 shrimp, 1 corn, potato and sausage), another time I had another bundled option (4 lbs crawfish). Both are very reasonable prices and no complaints either time. The crawfish is YUMMY, shrimp is cooked perfectly, potatoes are small but good, sausage is pretty good but the corn is my favorite. Some guests next to me ordered a plate of shrimp fried rice that looked really good- I'll add that to the list another time. The menu also listed crawfish fried rice.. Hmm.. So glad that we tried this place as our comeback to crawfish. 6.99 a lb and three options of flavors and 5 levels of spice. Appetizers that we tried were good too. Best part is how ON POINT the flavor is (especially the green and yellow onion flavor) combined with HOW BIG the crawfish is. When it comes to crawfish, size definitely matters. Firstly, the crawfish and shrimp are the only items I've ever ordered from Cajun Crawfish. That said, they are beyond tasty. They're seasoned to perfection, cooked perfectly, nice size and the price is not costly. Anyone that states they don't like the smell, simply doesn't like crawfish. Definitely was excited to try this place out given in always around the area but never gave it a chance until I seen the high rating reviews. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the taste. Tried their garlic butter medium crawfish and it was just mediocre to me on my scale of the Asian Cajun garlic butter style. The crawfish they served was actually a decent size, great for the season (April) but after examining it and a small scratch test on a few they were not cleaned properly. They still had mud residue left on their shell making their overall cooked appearance to be red/dark brown. Might not bother some but to think of how dirty the book is from the mud can be a little stomach wrenching. There are definitely better places in the area for garlic butter style seafood boils. I probably won't be back, but at least I gave it a shot. read more
