The spicy garlic butter was sooo good I wish they would bottle and sell it. We didn't care too much for the crab cluster but the rest was on point! We got quite a bit of crawfish (garlic butter spicy) shrimp with sausage and corn Cajun style spicy. I could go another notch up on spicy level next time. I prefer the butter garlic. As this was ranked #1 crawfish place I was excited to try. We are South Houston area originally and our go to crawfish spot was Cajun Craven on Beamer. Do not come here looking for ambience or an elegant environment. Come here to EAT. And suck those heads. For this is your primary mission, other than licking your fingers, slurping your tea (or your selected beverage) and grabbing a piece of corn, a potato or just piling up those crawfish casualties on your plate. Of course, Cajun Crawfish knows that sometimes our trash does tether us. So they are kind enough to bring a trashcan and place it next to your table, should you need it (which we, obviously, did)! Haul away the bodies! Incredibly tasty crawfish cooked exactly as requested: several of us ordered the crawfish combo with regular spices and one of us (including me) ordered the combo extra spicy but light on the butter. Wow, that flavor was true excitement for your taste buds. All of us that dug into the crawfish were very pleased and subsequently very content. I told myself a year or two ago and I will NOT find myself paying more than $4.99 for a pound of crawfish. Forward a few years later and not one time but two times today I find myself at the bug slaughter reminincing on the days when $3.99 was the normal price while sitting in a food court in Bellaire with about 100 other Asians and trying to duck away from the smokers smoking under the no smoking sign. As promised a few months ago when I ducked my head into here and looked around I bumped into what I believe was the owner and promise to return since I was already promising my brother to meet and eat up at Ha's next door. We ordered 1 lb of garlic non spicy for my baby 4 lbs of spicy garlic for mother, son and I and one 1lb of just the normal so I could taste what everything tasted like without the actual garlic seasoning. The order came to the table, bowl of seafood gumbo and 6 wings for my son, he liked them and upon observance they were not your anemic chicken wings you get at BWW and had a lot of glistening stick to the chicken hot sauce hugging onto them. The seafood gumbo was a semi dark tan roux type and had a good flavor but still nothing near my favorite dark almost black Roux that I used to get a Floyd's Cajun Kitchen now changed owners and recipe. The crawfish came out, I think somebody in the kitchen was dislexic because that 1 lb for the baby ended up being the spicy, the 4 lbs I ordered for the adults turned out mild and the other lb came out just as ordered, garlic mild. I pointed this out to the waitress whom I saw write the order down and she offered to take the remaining lbs back to the kitchen to get spiced up but the food was already in front of us and we politely declined. The spicy was not overpoweringly spicy which allowed you to taste what you were there for, the meaty morsal tail bit. The garlic spicy also had that zing but also with the minced garlicy companions that usually come with at these places. Service here is very good, it's a small establishment so there is not much leg way for your server to get lost. I do not know what she did wrong but we felt a little uncomfortable when noticing the owner reprimand within viewing range something about our table, we felt bad because the lady was genuinely nice but I guess it goes with the business and job. Little nice lady, we apologize if you get to read this and did something that you weren't supposed to have done at our table but you took good care of us, no complaints here. We came at a time when it should have been packed since it was a good few hours after church services on a Sunday but it was only 3/4 full. I can imagine on a very busy day how they will accommodate a surge but I guess they handle their own well. Parking is spotty, you either get a place or you don't, and have to park a few businesses or a half a block down. It is right next door to Ha's Kitchen and sided by other businesses that would easily doom any opened parking places but in and out traffic will don you a place if you want a few minutes and stalk for a place to turn into. I really hope this place survives and will definitely be back, until then Mr. Cajun Crawfish, lighten up a little on your ladies, good help is hard to come by and what you have at the moment is a crew of friendly associates who show no bit of attitude or eye rolling like other places, your in the right direction. read more

I came here one weekend to try their crawfish. It's one of the top rated places for crawfish in the city right now, according to yelp and located right near Ha's Kitchen in the plaza, for reference. Crawfish is currently 6.99/lb and most of their combo specials are for only 2 lb of crawfish. If you want a discount on larger amount of crawfish, you should come on a mon-thurs when it's buy 5 lbs get 1 free. I ordered 6 lbs crawfish with 1/2 link sausage and 2 potatoes, similar to what I order at most crawfish places I visit. Like other places, once you choose how many lbs you want, you then choose the flavor and how spicy. I picked garlic butter and regular spicy. My only regret was not asking for extra spicy or even 6x, as regular spicy wasn't really spicy at all. Flavor on the other hand was excellent. Size was even better as I kept grabbing huge ones from my tray, one after the other. There was only 1 medium sized crawfish in my 6 lb!!!..the rest were monsters. Service was great as well...and it may have even helped sitting right in front of the register / kitchen to get the quickest attention. read more

As a frequent crawfish connoisseur, I was looking for something that tickled the right taste buds. With the high ratings of this place I really had expectations of everything and more. Me and my boyfriend went on a Saturday night, they were real nice and everything. We did a pick up order of 5 lbs of crawfish, some crab legs and potatoes. The 5 lbs of crawfish was a mistake to say the least. The crawfish was gray and the shell was soft upon touch. Most disgusting thing I have ever seen in my life. The sauce could NOT even mask the dead fishy scent of the crawfish. We attempted to get a refund, in which they didn't specify a partial refund. But upon going there to get a refund they said they would only reimburse for the DEAD crawfish. Not the crab legs or potatoes. I understand from a business standpoint but at the same time, please try to encourage repeat customers. I have reached out to the manager and I have not gotten a call. If a call was missed, no voicemail was ever left. As a crawfish lover, I have eaten TONS of crawfish, NONE HAVE EVER GAVE ME THE RUNS LIKE THIS ONE. Me and my boyfriend were RUNNING to the restroom and after, the restroom stunk of dead seafood. No seafood has ever made my stomach churn like this place. Always great service when I've gone. I've ordered 14-16lbs of crawfish to go multiple times, when in season, and am always satisfied. Always hot, juicy and with great flavor. I've been here around 4 times and have tried all 3 crawfish styles: cajun, garlic butter, & stir fry. Rankings: stir fry, garlic butter, Cajun. I was hesitant to try the stir fry but it was AMAZING. I got it 2x extra spicy and the flavor was great. I loved the onions and the heads were the juiciest out of the 3. Garlic butter was great. It's your typical Vietnamese style crawfish with the minced garlic on top. The side of garlic butter is drawn butter and seasoned minced garlic. It's $1 extra but I love the minced garlic so I always get it on the side. The Cajun was okay but the heads weren't that juicy. It had flavor but i wouldn't prefer it over the other two. If I wanted Cajun style crawfish, I'd go somewhere that specializes in it. read more

I was craving crawfish today and I found this little place while I was in the area. It is definitely a dive! The crawfish are decent, they have good flavor and aren't too spicy. As a matter of fact, "spicy" flavor isn't mild compared to other crawfish restos I have reviewed. I wasn't impressed with the size of the crawfish fish. You can tell the bags they buy aren't mixed, so you don't even get a huge one every now and then in your order. I also had some snow crab, which was ok too. Overall, not my favorite place for Cajun seafood but it's still a decent resto with affordable prices. I do like all of the condiments they give you for your order (extra butter, Cajun seasoning, limes, and mayo for those who like it). The staff is also very nice. read more

I've been searching far and wide for some decent crawfish this season. This was one of my favorite. I enjoyed the Cajun/Spicy. They didn't just pour seasoning all over the top. The service was quick and friendly. I also ordered some wings and veggie fried rice. The wings were crunchy but not much flavor. The rice was good, just not my fav. I'm a fan of Mambos fried rice. Woohoo these are the best 5 star Jumbo Asian style crawfish!!! I had bookmarked this place because it's on the north side of town and I was excited there were finally a couple Asian restaurants serving crawfish plus I had a great referral from my nail salon lady. Always call first to the restaurant to see what size the crawfish are that day. So I called and the polite man on the phone said JUMBO! I'm a crawfish addict so I jumped in my car for the 35 minute drive. I had already 4 lbs of large to jumbo crawfish earlier at the Old Town Spring Crawfish festival but it was dinnertime and I wanted more and I like to get my way. So I arrived and placed my order for 5 lbs and sure enough they were Jumbo sized. This is the cool part - they were steaming hot and the lady put 2 ladles of garlic on them plus some extra hot sprinkle stuff all in a big Foil Pan tightly wrapped with foil. The people working there were probably the owners and couldn't have been any nicer. Wow excellent service, professionalism and the crawfish were still steaming hot 35 minutes later when I got home. These Jumbo mothers had meat in the claws and were so fresh you could suck the heads and taste the flavors and aroma when sucking the heads. Now y'all know that means they seasoned the crawfish water well while those big babies cooked. I happen to love garlic so this was a real treat. This restaurant is bare bones plain so I wouldn't suggest bringing a date but it's a great place to get awesome crawfish to go. They also serve the NOLA style but after you eat those 3 times a week since February I was long overdue for the delectable Asian Style crawfish. Total WIN! read more

This spot is pretty decent, I order my crawfish to go all the time. I wouldnt be able to give any critique the in door serviece. However, When I order my food and pick it up the customer service is always on time and on point. They always greet with a smile which is always a good look. The crawfish I beleive is $5.99 a pound and I usually get the spicy garlic and its pretty tasty. The only thing is I got a more than usual small ones in my last order or over cooked ones which was pretty tasteless. Unfortunately this place has had a change in ownership and the quality of its food has suffered. They now serve both frozen and fresh crawfish and has jacked the price up tremendously. Frozen crawfish is 5.99/lb, which was the previous price for FRESH crawfish && fresh crawfish is now 7.99/lb. The flavor is similar but a bit sweeter; additionally the quality of the crawfish itself is not in the same ballpark as before. Higher prices for lower quality foods?... I think I'll skip on that. Aside from the crawfish... I tried their seafood gumbo & I kid you not, it's gravy. It's rice, frozen crawfish/shrimp, & gravy water. Yuck! My boyfriend had the Poboy & he says it doesn't taste the same either. Bummer! I think the only thing that has remained constant is the fries... But it's not like it's a secret recipe right?.. Anyways, I found out that this place was taken over but the owners of Ha's Kitchen, which explains the drop in food quality.
