Tasty breakfast, loud inside. We sat outside. Ordered chilaquiles. It was good, the hot link was better than expected. The waiters were nice.

Found this little Gem on Yelp, didn't realize it was a chain. But we weren't disappointed. Place was clean and neat, the wait staff were kind and insightful on the food choices. We did have to wait a bit for coffee refills, but no problem, it happens. I ordered the Fried chicken Benedict, and it was the tastiest meal I've eaten in a while. I had such, or WE had such an enjoyable time eating that. Chicken had flavor and was moist. My husband's plate, the Huevos Rancheros, were ok. Now on to the Beignets, those suckers were delicious, not Louisiana good, but very close. We would try this place again.

We love Cajun Kitchen! Anytime we are in the area, we always ALWAYS stop in for breakfast. I get the corned beef and hash with a black coffee and my hubby gets the bacon and eggs with a side of pancakes. We also get the beignets, a must when you visit. The food and service is always consistent and delicious...every time! We have never had a bad meal at either location. Ambiance is farmhouse diner style with a warm and inviting space and great music playlist. Do yourself a favor and save this to your "Must Try" list and thank me later. Bon Appétit'!

Another Samara Barbara staple! My boyfriend and I made our way over in the late morning (the day before thanksgiving) and it wasn't too crowded, we sat ourselves on the patio. Our waitress was friendly, funny, and accommodating. She provided a dairy-free milk for my coffee. The food was incredibly flavorful and cooked just right! I ordered my grits sans cheese (which I'm sure would've enhanced the flavor SO much) but the shrimp and andouille sausage were the stars of my dish. My boyfriend got his go-to dish, Jambalaya and over medium eggs, and recommends you do the same!

Great breakfast spot! Has all of the typical breakfast items with some unique cajun breakfast items as well. Everything was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend and I split the Eggs Benedict which was a perfect portion for the both of us. The server was nice enough to have it prepared on different plates. Very laid back hole in the wall restaurant that you wouldn't expect to have such a good quality meal.

Probably not the best choice to order crawfish in California. What was I thinking! They were tough and not very good. I assume they were frozen and then overcooked. The seasoning was good for the dish though. Tasty, pipping hot corn bread was great.

This is a fantastic place for breakfast. It's located in a shopping center and it's not fancy at all. It would be really easy to drive past it without even noticing it. They have a fantastic breakfast that is full of flavor! Some of their dishes look very basic and some make you look twice they're so good-looking. Our meals had so much flavor that I wish we were in town longer so that we could have tried more of their menu. Chicken Fried Steak - $15.95 French Quarter Omelet - $16.25

Let me start with the bad, I ordered their French dip. The meat was incredibly dry, like it had been sitting awhile. Naybe they were trying to make beef jerkey. Even with the aujou. It did not help, really a disappointment for me. I do think this may have been a one off. Because for the remainder of the food we had (party of four) everybody lived their food. My wife and daughter had the breakfast dishes. They said it was delicious and they enjoyed it very much. Everything was cooked to order. The eggs were fresh. The bacon was crispy. You couldn't ask for a better dish. My son ordered the chicken sandwich, which he said was very tasty. Crispy batter and the chicken was well seasoned. The restaurant is in a small strip mall. Fair amount of people walking in but still felt very homely. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Nice place to eat definitely will return. When we go to visit our daughter at UCSB? I just won't be having the french dip. Oh yeah, the service, quick service. Nice great experience loved it.

I will always recommend the Cajun Kitchen! I am a creature of habit and my go to here is always the shrimp and grits. This is the kind of place where you can come to dine alone and walk out with friends. Cajun kitchen has been around as long as I have lived in Santa Barbara which is many decades and it is still as good today as it was back in the 90s. The servers make you feel like you're the only one in the packed restaurant. This time I noticed they were serving Dune coffee and for that I am grateful because any time we can support local, we should. Cajun kitchen is a local legend!

Not your average Mexican egg dish. Very tasty seasoned just right. Large portion size and fast service. East stop on the 101. #spicemeister approved.

The ambience was lively, the service staff were warm, and the food was amazing. One of my favorite things they offered as starters were their assortment of mini muffins (banana nut, rosemary, cheese etc). They were so good! The staff was nice enough to give me some to take home at the end of our meal. As we were enjoying the muffins, there was point in the evening where the staff all came together and sang "Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. It felt special and was nice hearing everyone sing along. We eventually ordered a jambalaya pasta dish and fish with vegetables dish. Needless to say, the pasta was out of this world. It was creamy, savory, and perfectly balanced in flavor. I'd come back just for that pasta dish alone, and that says a lot as I am not a huge pasta lover. Since it was my birthday, they surprised me with an ice cream dessert with chocolate writing on the plate. I was most impressed with the quality of chocolate they used for the writing. It was not Hershey's syrup one would assume, they went an extra step and used high quality thick chocolate that they melted to write my birthday greeting in cursive. Thankfully my name is long so I could eat more chocolate lol. By the end of the meal, I left the Palace with a feeling of nostalgia and mild sadness because I had to leave. That's when I knew I experienced something special. I can't wait to go back!

If you're looking for some tasty Cajun-Creole cuisine and a good time in Santa Barbara, definitely…read morecheck out The Palace Grill! The decor of the restaurant makes you feel like you've stepped into New Orleans--murals, Mardi Gras themed items, and cards on the ceiling! I was so excited that they bring out complimentary mini muffins! They are SO good! They have a few different flavors like banana nut, jalapeno corn, a rosemary one, etc. Definitely a highlight! For appetizers, we ordered the Cajun Popcorn and the Soft Shell Crab. I haven't had a lot of crawfish before, so I really wanted to try the Cajun Popcorn. These crawfish tails are dipper in cornbread buttermilk batter and fried. They're crispy and fun to eat! They give a sherry wine dipping sauce, which was also yummy! Would recommend getting these! We also wanted to try the Soft Shell Crab, and you can get it as an appetizer or an entree. The appetizer comes with one soft shell crab that's been stuffed with Bienville crabmeat dressing, coated the cornmeal flour, and flash fried. It has just the right amount of crispiness! It's served with a jalapeno beurre-blanc and rice. For our entree, we shared the Crawfish Pasta Lafitte. We couldn't get enough of the crawfish tails so decided to get the pasta that had them as well. The pasta also had caramelized onions, tomatoes, mushrooms, cream, and creole seasoning. Very tasty! Would recommend this pasta! For the fun part that I mentioned--they have a magician that walks around and does magic tricks at each table! It was entertaining and very cool to see some of the tricks up close! They also have a Sing-Along moment in the evening where they'll had out lyric sheets to everyone, turn on the music, and everyone sings the song together. They were playing "What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong on the evening I was there, but the song changes and they ask you not to open the lyrics book until right before the song, so it's a surprise!
