Corned beef and hash, pancakes, bacon and eggs.

We love Cajun Kitchen! Anytime we are in the area, we always ALWAYS stop in for breakfast. I get the corned beef and hash with a black coffee and my hubby gets the bacon and eggs with a side of pancakes. We also get the beignets, a must when you visit. The food and service is always consistent and delicious...every time! We have never had a bad meal at either location. Ambiance is farmhouse diner style with a warm and inviting space and great music playlist. Do yourself a favor and save this to your "Must Try" list and thank me later. Bon Appétit'!

Another Samara Barbara staple! My boyfriend and I made our way over in the late morning (the day before thanksgiving) and it wasn't too crowded, we sat ourselves on the patio. Our waitress was friendly, funny, and accommodating. She provided a dairy-free milk for my coffee. The food was incredibly flavorful and cooked just right! I ordered my grits sans cheese (which I'm sure would've enhanced the flavor SO much) but the shrimp and andouille sausage were the stars of my dish. My boyfriend got his go-to dish, Jambalaya and over medium eggs, and recommends you do the same!

Great breakfast spot! Has all of the typical breakfast items with some unique cajun breakfast items as well. Everything was cooked perfectly. My boyfriend and I split the Eggs Benedict which was a perfect portion for the both of us. The server was nice enough to have it prepared on different plates. Very laid back hole in the wall restaurant that you wouldn't expect to have such a good quality meal.

Probably not the best choice to order crawfish in California. What was I thinking! They were tough and not very good. I assume they were frozen and then overcooked. The seasoning was good for the dish though. Tasty, pipping hot corn bread was great.

Let me start with the bad, I ordered their French dip. The meat was incredibly dry, like it had been sitting awhile. Naybe they were trying to make beef jerkey. Even with the aujou. It did not help, really a disappointment for me. I do think this may have been a one off. Because for the remainder of the food we had (party of four) everybody lived their food. My wife and daughter had the breakfast dishes. They said it was delicious and they enjoyed it very much. Everything was cooked to order. The eggs were fresh. The bacon was crispy. You couldn't ask for a better dish. My son ordered the chicken sandwich, which he said was very tasty. Crispy batter and the chicken was well seasoned. The restaurant is in a small strip mall. Fair amount of people walking in but still felt very homely. Nice, relaxed atmosphere. Nice place to eat definitely will return. When we go to visit our daughter at UCSB? I just won't be having the french dip. Oh yeah, the service, quick service. Nice great experience loved it.

Not your average Mexican egg dish. Very tasty seasoned just right. Large portion size and fast service. East stop on the 101. #spicemeister approved.

I will always recommend the Cajun Kitchen! I am a creature of habit and my go to here is always the shrimp and grits. This is the kind of place where you can come to dine alone and walk out with friends. Cajun kitchen has been around as long as I have lived in Santa Barbara which is many decades and it is still as good today as it was back in the 90s. The servers make you feel like you're the only one in the packed restaurant. This time I noticed they were serving Dune coffee and for that I am grateful because any time we can support local, we should. Cajun kitchen is a local legend!

We arrived around 11am and there was a 15 minute way for a table for 4. There are several parties waiting outside already. We oredered coffee, beignets, kids French toast, crawfish etouffee, breakfast burrito with chorizo, and breakfast burrito with bacon and smothered with chili. Of all the dishes we ordered, we felt most of the food is a bit lacking. The powdered sugar beignets are bite sizes and the flavor stood out was a bit salty and dry. the bacon in the breakfast burrito was so hard and dry it's hard to enjoy it. I felt the crawfish etouffee was very decent. But it was very spicy this time. The service was great and staff was friendly. But maybe next time we will try some other breakfast/brunch options next time.

Service was polite and prompt.

We ordered 2 lbs of shrimp - I think it's $25+/lb and 1 lb crawfish (can't recall how much maybe its $17+ /lb), 5 steamed rice, 1 large extra sauce (drunken crab mix - can't recall exact name) . Everything was really good - we did medium spice and it was spicy especially for my 12 yr old son but he still enjoyed it though. The service was good, but could've been better - staff are always by the bar are and just chatting, but someone will come check on us from time to time - its just that when we need their attention sometimes its hard because they had their back away from us and we ate at around 2:30ish so the restaurant was pretty empty - just 2-3 tables taken inside. The place is big, lots of seating and great for big groups. However, one of my disappoinment here is the ladies bathroom - its really dirty, trash overflowing and on the floor, etc, like its really dirty. I hope management can fix that issue with the staff. P.S I forgot to take photos because my kids were very hungry and didnt let me take pics...next time!

REVIEW: First timer here (what.) and it was so good! Quiet, not too busy on the day we went (during the week). I remember in my baby years of Yelp I used to note that a restaurant was "good" if it was busy. Post-shutdown and currently 2026, it's OK to me if it's ghost town inside. :) We ordered the Clam Chowder Bowl and Sweet Potato Fries. GREAT! The chowder had nice flavor and was thick, and the clam pieces were tasty. The bread was warm and soft, so full of flavor. Service was good. Love the vibe inside, too. Love the decor and the entire vibe. As much as I love seafood, I can't wait to go back to try their other menu items. Thank you for a great meal. Highly recommend!

There was no wait, and we stood there for about 10 minutes without being helped. Finally, a waitress came over around 8:05 PM and told us they were closed at 8 and couldn't seat us. That doesn't make sense--if you close at 8, you should still be seating guests before that time, especially when they've been waiting and there's no line. The lack of communication and basic customer service was frustrating and unprofessional. It wasn't about the timing it was about how it was handled. Standing there with no acknowledgment and then being turned away last minute is just bad service. Definitely not the experience we expected.
