So when it was time for my wedding, I knew I had to get my cake from them! It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. They offer cake tasting boxes that include their most popular flavors. However, we had a specific taste profile in mind and asked if they could custom make the samples for us - they said yes without hesitation and didn't charge us extra! The samples were delicious and the pickup process was easy. We went with a ribbon cake (chocolate and vanilla) with fresh strawberries, whipped cream filling, and vanilla buttercream frosting. I also had a very specific vision for my wedding cake - I wanted a detailed three-tier cake with buttercream vintage flowers. We also ordered a plain sheet cake with the same flavors to ensure that we had enough slices for our guests. I worked with Fariba during the ordering process and they were great. It had a refreshing lemon filling inside that wasn't overpowering, and I would definitely order that again. My niece loved the chocolate-covered strawberries, and my daughter enjoyed the macaron. The shop has a nice atmosphere, and it's a great place to stop when you're craving something sweet. I'll definitely be back to try some of their other pastries and desserts. Especially brie. I love how the entire center is actly gooey brie! A very generous helping rather than a dabble here and there. I got the apple topping and the apples are crunchy, not mushy. Great texture contrast. Emily also included a mini jar of honey which is exactly what this cake needed. The last finishing touch to pull it together. Truly never had a cheesecake like this. It had a sour, fermented smell and was completely inedible. Selling spoiled dairy products is a serious food safety issue and completely unacceptable. Given my positive experiences in the past, it's alarming to see quality control decline so dramatically. Management needs to address this before someone gets sick.

I ordered a two-tiered racing themed cake, smash cake, cupcakes, and cookies. About 2 weeks before the party, I went in and met with Shavon to brainstorm the design of the cakes/cookies. I also had very specific dietary restrictions for the cake/cupcakes (no sugar, no salt). Shavon was able to accommodate all my requests. I was honestly shocked when I saw the cakes. Her cakes are stunning. (And they also taste good!) The best part of my order were the cookies. I ordered a total of 4 dozen cookies (various shapes/designs). They were delicious (not the least bit dry!) AND all so beautifully decorated. I've attached a photo of the cookies and you can also see part of the cake in the background. This had more stronger almond and Italian rum flavor and I was pleasantly surprised by the sugared almond slivers coating. The custard was absolutely generous, creamy, and divine. I'd say Peter's Bakery is more traditional, but more fluffier while Sugar Butter Flour has a more modern twist and is slightly sweeter. Their version definitely has more custard, which I personally enjoy... but this may be too sweet for the older Asian parents family. I'd love to come back to try their cookies and other pastries next time. Their Burnt Almond Cake is to die for and would love to buy another one when I'm in the area.
