mille foglie cake

I don't even know how to fully describe how WOW our experience with cake expressions was. Cero and his team are so kind and easy to work with. We had a fantastic cake consultation that we scheduled via email. Once we arrived, we were greeted warmly and it was actually so difficult to narrow down which flavors we wanted since all of them were delicious! We ended up choosing the mango and carrot cake for a simple two tier cake and the mille foglie which was the showstopper of the evening. These are NOT dense overly sweet cakes, they are light fluffy masterpieces. Once Cero arrived during our pre arranged delivery time, he beautifully placed flowers exactly how my inspo photo looked. I'm looking forward to order more custom cakes in the future!

For our wedding reception, I had a cake place in mind, but turned out I didn't like their cakes. So I contacted Cake Expressions a month before the event hoping it wasn't too short of notice. Cero emailed back that it was enough time, so we quickly scheduled a cake tasting. We selected a two-tier cake with one tier of burnt almond and one tier of princess cake. I wanted to add a custom cake topper and fresh flowers. Cero said to provide them the day of delivery and they would decorate the cake with them. When I arrived at the venue and saw the cake, I was more than pleased. It was understated (as I wanted) and beautifully decorated. As expected, the cakes were delicious! The only negative is that they forgot to bring a cake box for leftovers, so staff at the venue had to wrap it in foil. Not worth taking off a star IMO. I would definitely recommend and would use Cake Expressions again!

Cake Expressions created the most stunning and delicious Mardi Gras-themed cake for my husband's 40th birthday, and it was an absolute showstopper! The attention to detail was incredible--from the vibrant colors to the intricate decorations, every element was beautifully crafted. The cake truly captured the festive spirit of Mardi Gras and became a centerpiece of the celebration. Not only did it look amazing, but it also tasted incredible! The flavors were rich, moist, and perfectly balanced--every guest raved about how delicious it was. Cake Expressions exceeded our expectations in every way, from their creativity and artistry to their professionalism and customer service.P

Absolutely loved working with Cero on our wedding cake. Him and his team are so talented, attentive & communicative throughout the process. They also delivered the cake to Carmel seamlessly. And the best part, everyone LOVED the cake, it was so delicious. Cannot wait to order our next cake. Thanks so much for everything

Cake Expressions created a beautiful wedding cake for us back in April! We gave them a ton of creative freedom (just said we like the naked style cake with some flowers on it) and they produced a stunning cake. Our guests raved about how beautiful it was as well as how delicious it was! The cake tasting was a total blast and they were very easy to work with. We highly recommend them for wedding cake or any special event!

We used Cake Expressions for our wedding cake, and we enjoyed the experience! Cake was not something we cared about, and were originally going to skip it, but after going to the free cake tasting and seeing their prices, we decided to get one in case any of our guests wanted it. They were straightforward and easy to work with, and their prices are super affordable for the Bay Area. On our wedding day, they delivered the cake as agreed upon, and our coordinator and florist worked with them to make sure it was decorated. We didn't even think about it until it was time for the cake cutting!

Cero, the owner created an outstanding, stunning wedding cake. Our vision for the "Dream Wedding Cake" was realized. From the start, Cero understood what my daughter wanted her cake to look like. She brought photos, and he understood we were going for an elegant, large cake. At the shop we saw a display cake with a base and a topper he stated he rents out. It was so beautiful, and my daughter knew that is what she wanted. They provide a wonderfully sample of cake flavors. It all looked so scrumptious and beautiful in colors. This in itself, was enough to make us think that it was the right bakery for us. Superb! Cero delivered the cake, and became a major focal point of the evening. As expected, this bakery and the owner did a fantastic job.

We ordered a wedding reception cake for my sister-in-law from Cake Expressions, and it was absolutely stunning! Beautifully decorated, elegant, and tasted just as amazing--so moist and flavorful. They were a dream to work with--responsive, professional, and made the whole process seamless. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

An AI-themed cake (delicious and within our limited budget) for Claude and GPT-4's two year anniversary! Thanks from the UCSC NLP program!

Cero and his team are wonderful. Cero was kind and easy to work with over the phone when I was trying to get a fun "AI Anniversary Cake" lined up for a big speaker event that our UCSC NLP program was having. Cero worked with me to think of an affordable option that still dazzled guests. It was delicious and loved by all of our attendees. I couldn't recommend Cero + his team enough, this was a fantastic interaction!

Came to visit the famous Cero for cake tasting for our upcoming wedding and it was an awesome experience! We came by on a 6:30 pm afternoon and were promptly greeted and seated by Cero. He brought us out around 12 different cake flavors to taste which were all awesome and delicious with tons of variety! There were fruity flavors as well as chocolatey/classic flavors not to mention other varieties as well. It was such a wonderful experience it didn't take us time to book our order! This is a mom and pop shop so don't expect fancy but expect homey and delicious cakes! Definitely support this awesome business and meet the man Cero himself!

The food is worth the wait. Don't sleep on the black pepper sausage danish: the croissant dough is crisp and flaky, and doesn't get soggy when baked around the sausage. It's comparable in execution to the Croissant Hot Dog served at Dominique Ansel Las Vegas (in Caesar's Palace), but at a way more accessible price point. Which isn't to say this place is cheap; like many artisanal bakeries in California, it comes with a premium price tag, but at least it's not Dominique Ansel pricy. Croissante's croissant dough baked goods (viennoiserie) is pun-intended "proof" that you get what you pay for. The dining space is limited and lively. Conversing is a little tough, but if you just need a place to sit while eating, it's just right. Extra special shout out this time to Dill who had informed me the fried chicken dishes today would be an hour and a half wait. After deciding there wasn't anything I wanted more than the Fried Chicken and Spiced Croffle (croissant dough baked in a waffle iron) and was happy to wait, they were nice enough to check in with the kitchen and see if it could be made sooner than that. I didn't expect to be accommodated, so I was happy they were able to do that. You get two chicken thighs and croffles per order. It's enough for two light eaters to share.

I had such a fun time exploring their bakery and café offerings. It's the kind of place where everything looks too good to pass up. The pastries were next-level: the Mango Cream Donut was light, fluffy, and bursting with fruity goodness, and the Guava Danish was perfectly flaky and sweet with just the right hint of tropical flavor. *Tina's Tips: - Grab a tray, tongs, and parchment paper to make picking your pastries fun and easy. - Add all the pastries you want and checkout at the counter. - If you buy a cake, ask them to hold it while you enjoy your coffee and treats in the café. The place was situated in a quiet plaza just outside of Lawrence Expressway. There's ample parking but it doesn't feel like the location is suitable for a cafe where you can picture sitting inside looking through some big windows facing a busy pedestrian walkway. However, once I stepped inside, I was surprised at how zen and peaceful the decorations were and how fitting it was for a cozy and quiet cafe hangout. The cake shelf was surprisingly busy. And this is where I took one star out because the lines were confusing and the staff skipped me to talk to the group behind me while I was clearly the next to be helped. Luckily another staff member came out from the back kitchen and jumped in to help. The staff spoke fluent mandarin. I was interested in their box cakes. A few of the yelpers raved about their soy milk cake and luckily they had one out for sampling. It was covered with lots of cream and the cake layer was soft and moist, but it was still slightly too sweet for me and I felt that it lacked the tofu kind of soy flavor. Then, I spotted on their menu that they have a black sesame matcha box cake, and black sesame is always my favorite, so I asked for it. They had the last one left! The staff said she had never tried it so she couldn't tell me if it is less sweet than the soy milk cake. Since it was the last one available and I already sampled the soy cake, I decided to give it a try. I am happy that I did. The cake was filled with matcha mousse and tasted light and aromatic with the jasmine kind of matcha flavor. It is definitely less sweet. Unfortunately, it doesn't have as much black sesame as I'd like. But overall, the cake flavor is the kind that I like, subtle, moist, and not too sweet. $38 for a box cake of 4x4 is a bit pricey, but I'm glad that I gave it a try. The cakes were freshly made and tasted best the same day of purchase. They also recommend refrigerating the cake and consuming it within a day or two.

I kept seeing posts about whaT's More cake's persimmon cakes, so I decided to give them a try. I preordered the persimmon molten cake and the persimmon crepe cake through their website. The online ordering process was smooth, and both cakes were ready right on time for pickup. Unfortunately, the persimmon molten cake was disappointing. While I appreciated that it wasn't overly sweet, it was very mild in flavor. It tasted more like a simple sponge cake with a persimmon filling in the center, and overall, it felt quite underwhelming. In contrast, the persimmon crepe cake was much better. Each layer had persimmon cream and jam, which gave it a stronger and more pronounced persimmon flavor without being overly sweet. Overall, it's a cute cake shop worth checking out if you're looking for unique flavors in the South Bay. Parking: Plenty of parking available in the lot.

It was near 5pm. I walked in and the place was empty. The gentleman behind the counter greeted me. I asked for a strawberry smoothie, then walked around to survey all the baked goods. It's a small bakery with lots of trays of individually packaged cakes and pastries. The smell was very pleasant and comforting. Using a flat basket (or tray) I grabbed a few selections. I picked 2 "Heart Pies" that resembled my favorite French Butterfly Cookies. Also 2 pound cakes. The total rang up to just over $21. There's some small tables for enjoying your purchases there, but I took my items to go. The icy cold fruit smoothie was very good and very cold! Not too sweet, it had a natural strawberry taste.
