The cake is really tasty! They had lots of fun flavors too. The staff were very knowledgeable and efficient in packing up our slices. The inside is small but very cute with fun patterned tea ware and tables. Would def come back for cake and tea.

I happen to notice Caked Goods while at another new cafe diagonally across the intersection (7/27/25). So decided to check it out on this sunny Sunday. This woman/Filipina owned business is also related to Lola's Traveling Tea Party. Their brick and mortar re-opened recently a few days ago after a refresh of the previous Simply Desserts. Onsite there's limited seating for up to 8 maybe 9, pair of two tops and the other is a table at the window nook. There's tea, espresso, hot cocoa, and milk available. But the focus is on the pastry case filled with whole cakes that are available by the slice for $9.50. I also saw cupcakes and a bar cookie/blondie that were available. There's also tea-centric merch, most likely when Lola's Traveling Tea Party special events are in session. The now shuttered Simply Desserts holds a lot of memories while frequenting Seattle's quirky, evolving Fremont neighborhood over the decades. However, Caked Goods is an established specialty cake and events purveyor. They should do well in this current location with high visibility and pedestrian traffic. The current road construction adds to the traffic and parking challenges, but stop by when in the neighborhood for high quality, fresh, moist cake slices. Cakes featured in the pastry case during my visit included: Chocolate Fudge, Confetti Sprinkles, Chocolate White Chocolate, Cookies & Cream, Chocolate Caramel, Ube White Chocolate, and Strawberry White Chocolate. I also a blondie bar cookie and Black Bottom Cupcakes. Usually I gravitate towards chocolate cake slices, but this afternoon I had a slice of Confetti Sprinkles ($11.50 w/tax & tip) while onsite. I enjoyed that it was moist, not heavy on the icing, and not cloyingly sweet. Happy to see a dozen people come in as I was wrapping up my leisurely cake indulgence. My cake bat signal still works, lol. Lovely spot for a sweet treat.

I was really excited to visit this shop, appreciated the variety of cake flavors & was told they rotate every week! I tried the ube cake and the cake was a bit dry for my preference but the flavor was otherwise good.

They have so many yummy options, but I settled on a mushroom and Gruyère pastry and an earl grey blueberry cruffin. The mushroom and Gruyère pastry was SO good!!! Buttery flaky layers of dough with a strong earthy mushroom flavor and savory cheese - an absolute umami bomb. We ate it the day after and threw it in the air fryer for a couple of minutes, and it was so delicious. The cruffin was huge! Topped with a delicious light Earl grey cream that wasn't too sweet. It was filled with a blueberry cream and was definitely very filling. There's a lot of sugar coating it, as is standard with cruffins, but it's a nice sweet treat. Definitely coming back for the mushroom and Gruyère pastry and to try their other delicious flavors. Their supreme croissant flavor switches often and we can't wait to try the next one! One of the best bakeries I've been to in Seattle so far.

I originally planned to just grab a coffee and a croissant, but after noticing how popular the mushroom Gruyere croissant seemed, I decided to give it a try and I'm so glad I did. It was incredibly delicious, perfectly filling, and even better when warmed up. The staff member kindly offered to heat it for me, which really elevated the whole experience. While they serve Umbria coffee, which isn't my personal favorite, the food more than made up for it. The service was warm and friendly, and the overall vibe was welcoming. I'll definitely be back to try the mushroom croissant again or maybe explore some of their other pastries next time.

The cashier had to yell to make customers line up properly. The line was longer than I thought, and I wasn't in the mood to wait so I left empty handed the first time round. I had another chance the same day to revisit around 15 minutes before close, so I took that chance. There were only one other party being helped, and there were still plenty of baked goods to choose from. I was eyeing the demi baguette and the scone since the morning, so I got them. I was excited about the baguette because it was like $2.7 each, whereas the same thing costs like $6 at sea wolf. I wanted to find out if the baguette is as good as the one at sea wolf, and if so, I would start coming here because it's much closer to where I live. And Larsen's delivered on the baguette! It was dense in the right way and went well with the brie cheese I had on hand. Sea wolf's are kind of elevated with the half sourdough but Larsen's baguette tasted pretty on par for me, and you cannot beat the price here. This was a happy discovery! Scone was average. I am interested in trying their other stuff. It was interesting that they had a rather American baked goods like donuts and cookies. I'll take whatever is good and reasonably priced!

I ordered a 16oz iced oat milk mocha and loved how perfectly the chocolate was incorporated into my drink! It tasted sweet and the coffee added the robust flavour I love in my mochas My boyfriend had never tried a Moroccan Fog before and he loved how sweet it was without him having to add sugar. He especially loved that it had just the right amount of mint flavoring without being toothpaste For breakfast, I ordered their fruit danish! I love that they had different options of fruit to pick from and I chose blueberry! The pastry was perfectly flaky and I loved how fresh the blueberry tasted. My boyfriend ordered the chocolate croissant because he was excited at the idea of the chocolate being piped through the croissant and also drizzled over the top, but it turns out the dark brown parts on top are just design and not more chocolate. Still, he was pleased with the amount of chocolate in the croissant and the bite I had was heavenly. The champagne cake caught my eye as I was ordering and I just had to try a bite, it was absolutely delicious and fresh. I loved how light the cake was and the layers of flavour through the whole dessert! I love how bright and airy the cafe is! My boyfriend and I were easily able to find seating by the windows and enjoyed the gorgeous view of the space needle and people watching as we shared breakfast. The staff here was also patient and welcoming. We'll definitely have to come back and try more of their pastries!!
