A cranberry orange scone and a lemon tart- GET THESE!!
    Rima Z.

Quaint cafe with pleasant service. We were deliberating over the selection, and the staff was cheerful, patient, and quick to pick up on vibes. "Did o hear someone say lemon tart?" Yes. Yes, you did. There are savory and sweet offerings available. We decided to have dessert before lunch and oh, so glad we stopped in. The macchiato had great flavor. The pastries though...terrific. The scone was just right - moist, full of chewy cranberries and popping with orange peel flavor. Scones can either be very dry, or more typically, have the consistency and taste like a muffin top. This was great - the merest hint of orange glaze on top (they also offer without. but in for a penny, in for a pound!) The lemon tart was fabulous. The crust was buttery and perfectly baked, with a great texture. Not overly sweet. The filling - what WAS that?! A hint of lemon confit? Jam? not a lemon curd - really unusual. Perfect tartness. And the delicate whipped cream topping was so fresh and airy. I'll be thinking about this one for a while.

I love exploring different bakeries and donut shops. This past weekend, I decided to venture into Seattle. While Seattle isn't my favorite place to visit due to its parking and traffic, we tried five different donut shops. We stopped at Madison Park Bakery, where I got an éclair for my husband and a lemon cupcake and pastry for myself. Unfortunately, the lemon cupcake was dry, and the lemon curd inside was extremely tart--oh my! Although I wouldn't return for the baked goods, I want to return and try their sandwiches; they looked fantastic! The area is very neat, and I recommend checking it out.

LOVE this gem of a shop! Wanted to surprise my partner with a special treat for takeaway, and they definitely delivered! I got him a chocolate ganache cupcake (which looked like those fancy fake food props you see in movies and showrooms) and me a twisted glazed donut thing (which was gone in about 2 seconds, sorry, not sorry!). Everyone was in masks, the staff was splendid and my Americano was perfect (and I'm a coffee snob). JAVAAAAA (maybe I didn't need those 2 shots this am...) Can't wait to go back and try some more of their delights!!!

    Hot Cross Bun!

Cute little bakery!!!! I loved that they had mini pastries so that I could try more things. I mainly came for the Hot Cross Buns. They were great and super cute. I took my bun down to the park and enjoyed it while watching some ducks. Awesome bakery! Very friendly staff, and I loved that there was easy parking nearby.

Customer service is alive and well at Madison Park Bakery. The new owners, Issac and Sylvia, should be supported and commended for bringing back excellence to a longstanding community staple. I ordered a cake for my deceased sister's birthday celebration. When we went to eat the cake it was horrible. Because her celebration was in the evening the bakery was already closed. My plan was to call them the next day. I phoned the Bakery early and Issac answered the phone. He immediately apologized for my experience and offered to refund my money. He asked if I could bring the cake back to the bakery. I did. While they were refunding my money his staff tasted the returned cake. They, too, agreed that the cake wasn't good. They then tried to figure out what happened in the preparation of the cake. It was refreshing to have a business acknowledge they made a mistake and take the steps necessary to correct it. Issac wanted to assure me that my returned cake was not the standard or quality of a Madison Park Bakery cake. He offered me a slice of cake and ask that I call him after I tried it. The slice had great flavor and texture. I called Issac and let him know there was a marked difference in the cakes. Issac had already apologized, returned my money and given me a slice of cake. He then offered to give me a full cake. Throughout this entire process Madison Park Bakery personnel was gracious and provided top notch customer service. They made what could have been a trying situation exceptional. Best wishes Madison Park Bakery, Issac & Sylvia. I'll be back. Don't forget to try the carrot cake.

The croissant was on the crispier side, especially with the almond crumble on top it was a bit too cripsy for me, but I tend to like soft and flakey pastries so it's probably a matter of taste. There was a TON of almond filling in the middle. I enjoyed the taste and texture but it was too much filling for me personally. I would have liked more croissant in my croissant, so to say haha. The chocolate was slightly dark which worked well with the sweet pastry and filling! Overall I enjoyed the croissant but it was a tad too heavy on the filling and cripsy/crunchy for me.

We ordered everything to go but were able to get a table so I would recommend keeping an eye out for availability because you never know when a table will open up. I ended up getting the za'atar grilled cheese which was so good especially pipping hot. My friend got the halloumi sandwich which was also really tasty and I would say is perfect if you're more hungry. While I don't drink coffee, I did take a sip of the tiramisu coffee and I don't know how they did it, but it really does taste like tiramisu. There was a definite mascarpone flavor that emerged from the foam that was placed on top. This is a great cafe if you're looking for a bit and some coffee or maybe even a pastry. Their pastry case looked so good, I was definitely tempted to pick some items up including their pistachio croissant and cookies.

i'm writing this review about a year after trying mintish for the first time…read more i first discovered it before its opening. a friend sent me a post on their instagram account that was just a 'coming soon' post. from the images, i couldn't determine where it was opening, the only thing i knew is that it would be opening in capitol hill. i was ecstatic to see a palestinian coffee shop not only coming to seattle, but also to the neighbourhood that i was soon moving to. i first tried mintish with a friend. it wasn't long after their opening. the staff were extremely friendly. the inside was bustling, but the inside is decorated so nicely. levantine art on the walls, references to the keys back to palestine, and fairuz playing over the speakers... the joy i felt was unmatched. i probably made a fool of myself telling them how happy and excited i was to see a levantine coffee joint in my neighbourhood! to celebrate the occasion, i got an iced levantine latte with a knafeh cheesecake. it's definitely one of the best lattes i've ever had, period. my friend and i stored the cheesecake for later, but it was still delicious! now, as long as i'm in town, i'm there usually once a week on average. i switch between the levantine and demasc lattes -- they're both too good. everything on this menu is a hit, you truly can't go wrong, including the food. i'll order that labneh avocado toast when i'm wanting a snack, or take a cheesecake to go when my sweet tooth is calling. if you're visiting seattle and capitol hill is on the list, mintish is a must-stop. it is a story of palestinian success and excellence.

Overall, I'd say their pastries were generally good not great and were significantly sogged up by 12:30 PM when I grabbed em. Their patisserie is stronger than the pastries IMO and while I wouldn't wait in a crazy line, it's still lovely neighborhood spot and perhaps the pastries are a better texture earlier in the day. Highlights: - Miso Roasted White Chocolate Cronut: My favorite item in their current rotation. The cronut was a tad soggy, but the buttery texture inside is still satisfying and the miso white chocolate filling is lusciously smooth and perfectly balanced between savory and sweet. - Blackberry Corn Mousse Cake: Blueberry mousse is the perfect fluffy texture and the corn is very subtle. The sponge cake is light and perfectly contrasts against the bottom layer of crunchies to add a bit of variety. - Blueberry Corn Croissant: Pastry also held up quite well on this one with the outside still being quite crisp. The inner cream unlike the mousse cake is very corn forward with a bit of blueberry jam to balance it out. Skip: - Black Forest Cake: Found the cake to be a bit too firm with the cream filling to be a little bland and too firm as well. Just wanted this to be better than it was. Also, it looks totally different from the photo on their website heads up. - Tomato Basil Croissant: Just found this to be off ratio wise. The only tomato is the 3 small quarters of cherry tomato at the top and a light smear of basil cream. I can see this being very good, but current form factor isn't doing it any favors.
