Absolutely delicious! We got the Marion Berry pie and it was simply perfect, best pie in Seattle.

A quarter of the pie. So delicious.

Ok, the chicken pot pie is a treat! So delicious. I split this into two meals but it can be easily eaten in one sitting. The shop is in a busy Ballard neighborhood but pay by phone e parking was across the street. The shop is a sit-in place as well, very cute and can eat there. I got my pie to go though. I ordered a couple of days ahead. Excellent communication from the staff. They let me know it wouldn't be ready the next day and we rescheduled easily. I cut the pie and warmed it in the microwave for one minute. So good, highly recommend.

Fantastic service, such a sweet shop and phenomenal pie. I've had a lot of pie and haven't tasted an apple pie that I love so much as this one (not overly sweet and thoughtfully spiced). Their eat in area is so charming (caught it on a quiet moment there were four people in line behind us by the time that we sat down). The salty chocolate malted pie was fantastic as well. Love the dainty dishes that they serve it on when you dine in. Planning to come back more often to Ballard for dinner to be able to stop here afterwards!

Pie Bird has been around for a while, but this is their first brick and mortar shop. Sweet little cafe, clean and airy. A great assortment of sweet and savory pies, to include hand pies. Tough to decide which piece to get, but when the salesperson says his GF asked for THIS specific pie for her birthday (a whole pie!), you know it's gonna be good. And oh boy - it is delicious! Passionfruit meringue pie- a perfect balance of tart and sweet on a thin, crisp, buttery crust. I can't resist passionfruit and this was just exquisite. Special note on their branding - I love how they carried their logo through to the packing paper. Definitely a destination location - go out of your way to stop here. You won't be disappointed!

I went to Pie Bird tonight and got a slice of apple pie for takeaway. The pie crust is delicious! The buttery crust is light and flaky! I liked the apple filling because it wasn't too sweet or too tart - just right for my taste buds. I'll come back to try another slice of a fruit pie. They also offer cream pies and chicken pot pies! The staff were very attentive, helpful and courteous. The seating area is decorated nicely with tables and chairs along the wall and there is seating at the window with bar stool chairs.

I've always wanted to check out this new location so while I was on my daily dog walk with my pup, I stopped by. The ambience is extremely inviting the seating and the decor is perfect for the location. The customer service as soon as you walk in is immediately attentive, and the workers are extremely nice. As it was my first time they went over the different pies that they had available for the day. As far as food, there is a good amount of pie option from sweet and savory. I ordered the pumpkin pie and the flavor itself is very much on point. I just was not a fan of how soft the bite was. It could have been baked a little bit longer for my liking, but that's just a personal preference. The pie itself is still very flavorful. I will definitely be back . Plus, I promise the wonderful ladies today that I would be coming back to try the Pot Pie

Oh my god. Buttery. Rich. Delicious. Get one. Get two. Get a whole pie. When a street market upgrades to a shop, you know they have something going right. They advertise their real butter crusts and you can seriously taste it. Rich and flakey. And the dude at the counter was the nicest person in the world in the clean open breezy shop. So I got the chess and the pecan pie (yes, both rich sugary southern staples, leave me alone). Yes I ate them both as soon as I got home (leave me alone, I'm living my best life here). Both were a high end version of gooey buttery richness you won't find at any other stores or pie shops around. I've tried. The topper was I bought a broccoli cheddar quiche out of guilt for my sweets and ate it the next morning. Just as good as the pies and also better than any other. Most places have tiny shredded broccoli and 90% egg. I swear this was 60% broccoli and 15% crust with a little egg holding it together. Whole pieces of broccoli. At first I wasn't so sure because the texture was different, but I'm CRAVING it still a month later. This is the kind of uniqueness we need in foods, just awesome ingredients and solid craft without random gotcha ingredients. Thank you. Save me a piece plz.

I am very late to the party with regards to Pie Bird Bakeshop, a popular business at farmers markets. However, they opened their well situated brick and mortar on Market in Seattle's Ballard neighborhood. I stopped by on 8/23/25; the day before was their soft opening. I had intended to just order a slice of Boozy Peach, but also purchased two blueberry hand pies. The latter were well received by its recipients. Flavors seem to follow the seasonal abundance. Nice bright interior with ample indoor seating. This indie business is truly poised for continued success.

It is incredibly difficult to find good cake or good pie. Most everything we have tried at Pie Bird Bakeshop has been amazing. Pie Bird Bakeshop is the one bakery I will return to purchase pie, especially when I am too lazy to bake one myself. Premium ingredients are used, including European-style butter and organic, locally sourced, farm fresh fruits. We tend to stick with our favorites each time we purchase a pie. Our favorite of what we have had is the Banana Cream: delicious banana custard, fresh bananas, and a surprise crumble. Another favorite is the Bourbon Chocolate Pecan Pie: great balance of the smooth, sweetness of the chocolate and crunch of the slightly salty pecan. The Horchata Chess: decadent and comforting. The Black Bottom Pumpkin: we loved the pairing of chocolate and pumpkin, but the pumpkin was more spice-forward. Unfortunately, I am knocking a star for the one lady with the long brown hair with an attitude. She sells at the farmers' market, where every time I buy from her, she has this cold, condescending attitude. It would be one thing if that is how she normally interacts with people, but in one instance, she was incredibly friendly and helpful to the person in front of me, describing the pie itself, how long it can sit on the counter before having to be refrigerated, and how long it will hold in the refrigerator, etc. She provided none of that to me, ever. She does not have a friendly tone with me, as if it pains her to wish me a nice day. Everyone else who sells the pies is warm and welcoming, including owner, Hannah Jacobsen herself. One bad apple ruins the entire pie; the same applies to any business. Pie Bird Bakeshop is currently available at the farmers' markets, but we hope Ms. Jacobsen will have a brick-and-mortar bakery in the future. Ms. Jacobsen is an incredibly-skilled baker and offers many unique flavors. We look forward to her next creations.

    Scrumptious!

It's more like a little dessert stand located on the restaurant's patio area, with only a few outdoor tables available. The soft serve was okay, but not as creamy as I was hoping for, and it melted pretty quickly. If you decide to add a syrup flavor, I'd recommend asking for only a small amount. Mine came absolutely drowning in syrup, and honestly, the flavor tasted pretty artificial and overpowering.

We live in such a beautiful place and people just throw their trash on the ground or leave the area they ate at outside messy. This slows down seating for the next person amongst other things. I'll save the cultural critiques embedded into my "food" reviews in our city for restaurants that aren't doing well. They keep things fun by rotating seasonal soft serve flavors.
