Love these cookies so much. I first tried them at a farmers market and decided to come and visit their store for more flavors. The staff is extremely kind and I love how clean and open the area is. The location is a bit out of the way for me and it's not located in a major shopping center but it's well worth the drive. Parking can be tight outside, especially during lunch, but I've never had any issues finding somewhere to park. I always find myself coming back here to try all the different flavors. read more

The flavor combinations were exactly what they described. The Thai Tea Coffee tasted like Thai Tea. I am a sucker for anything Red Velvet, Snickerdoodle or S'Mores and they did not disappoint me. They were so yummy. I also enjoyed the Turtle Brownie! Honestly, you really cannot go wrong with anything you pick. They have a variety of assortments, but you can purchase a single cookie for $4 and brownies for $5. I am so CAKED right now! After an amazing dinner, there is always room for dessert, and I am so glad these sweet treats made it to our table. They were brought for our party to share, and when I say they were absolutely delicious, I am not exaggerating! Before I get into the desserts, I have to give a special shout-out to Cyn. I had the pleasure of meeting her, and she is truly one of those rare people you instantly connect with. You know the kind--genuine, kind-hearted, and full of positive energy. Her professionalism and honesty really stood out. She happily walked us through the the customer favorites, and I have to say...she was spot on! We ended up getting several of her recommendations, and every single one was a hit. My personal favorites were the Red Velvet, Chocolate Lava, and Ube cookies. The Red Velvet was unbelievably soft and moist--more like a slice of cake than a cookie--and it practically melted in my mouth. If you're an ube fan, you'll love this one. It isn't overly sweet and reminds me of the flavor and texture of ube mochi. I could easily see myself pairing it with a nice iced latte for the perfect afternoon treat. As you can see from the photos, we had quite the variety! The Thai Tea Cookie was another standout--super moist and packed with flavor. Of course, you can never go wrong with a classic Snickerdoodle, and it definitely lived up to expectations. Now let's talk brownies. The Slutty Brownie is one of their most popular items, and after one bite, I completely understood why. Imagine layers of cookie and brownie with a creamy filling tucked in between. I happened to stumble at Caked while visiting Jaunt coffee next door. Caked has a lot of variation when it comes to cookie flavors. I ended up with the honeydew walnut cookie which was moist, soft, and not too sweet. It had the perfect balance of sweetness. I wanted to try the good ol chocolate chip cookie but perhaps that will be next time. In terms of customer service, the staff is in the back probably working on packaging but they had a sign to "ring bell for service" and came out immediately. The place itself is small - almost like a garage front. I think I'll go back if I'm ever in the area. It's kinda hidden and I just happened to be there. read more

I'm really torn with this review because if I could, I would give 6 stars for customer service! Diondre was amazing working front of house, and the lady making cookies in the back was very nice. Not every cookie they had in stock was shown on display, and she would frequently pop out from the back to let us know what they had, what was cooling on the racks, and what they sold out of for the day. That said, the cookies themselves were not what I expected. I thought their cookies would be more so inspired by cake flavors rather than be a cross between a cookie and a cake. If you like your cookies more cakey/muffin-like/pastier, then give this place a try, but if you're like me, who likes a soft, chewy, rich inside and crispy, golden-like shell on the outside - think Levain cookies :) - then I would pass on this place. Prices aren't bad, but I'd rather pay $$$ for Levain cookies than buying cookies I know aren't up my alley. 5 stars for service, 3 stars for actual cookies, so 4 stars overall. In my opinion, a review should be based on the whole experience, so I thought 4 was more appropriate than a 3. read more

Stopped in for a coffee at Jaunt and saw this place. I am familiar with their cookies from local farmers markets, so I was stoked. I went in and stood in the order area for a couple of minutes looking at the options and no one came out. Caked is a hidden gem in the Mira Mesa area, they just need a little improvement. They are also often at markets and local festivals. My biggest complaint is the inconsistency. I've often bought 2-4 of the same cookie and they will vary in softness, not usually flavor. I'm not sure why that is, but just be warned not all cookies will be the same. I do also think the prices are a bit high. $5 for one cookie is not sustainable in today's economy. I often will only get Caked as a treat vs buying more often if the prices were more affordable. The customer service though is top notch and why I'm giving them 4 stars instead of 3. Every time I've seen them whether it be an event or their store front, they are always welcoming and gracious. I bought the Watermelon Chocolate Chip cookie and the Smores cookie. The smores was good but the watermelon Chocolate Chip was DELICIOUS!!!! Wow I wish I had bought more of the Watermelon cookie. The cookies are $4 each. There are no restrooms here so if you need to go, you'll have to go to the coffee shop next door. There are also only 2 individual seats inside here (see photos), but you have more seating next door at the coffee shop (if you go there to buy something also), or just taking your cookies to go. Caked was one of the corner booths at the 2025 TET/Lunar New Year Festival in Liberty Station this year. The setup was great and they highlighted many of their delicious flavors of cookies and brownies. We were greeted by an awesome baker at the booth. She was very customer service oriented and patient with the man in front of us in line. We opted for the 10 cookies for $35 option and then we bought an enormous peanut butter cup brownie. Cookies were $4/ea and brownies were $5 ea. The flavors are super cool and tasty. They have a bakery in Mira Mesa and they also have a website: www.caked.love where you can purchase online orders for shipping or pickup. The website also has super cute frenchie, pug, english bulldog, hello kitty, pikachu, etc. chocolates. The Thai Tea cookie that I got was not cooked fully in the middle, but the flavor was YUMMY! The Ube Mochi cookie was DELICIOUS! The Toffee Hazelnut cookie is VERY GOOD. The Peanut Butter Cup Chocolate cookie IS AWESOME AND SUPER DELICIOUS. We still have several flavors to taste. The cookie itself is soft and chewy. - Birthday Cake Cookie | Extremely moist and cake battery. My favorite. - Chocolate-Chipped Strawberry Cookie | Strawberry daiquiri with chocolate. I don't know why but I kept getting an after taste of seaweed/furkaki. - Matcha Green Tea Cookie | Subtly sweet and earthy. - Pistachio Cookie | Nutty and slightly sweet with Pistachio bits for added crunch. - Chocolate Chip Cookie | Classic cookie with chunks of sweet chocolate chips. - Thai Tea Cookie | Rich, aromatic taste that combines the earthy, slightly floral notes of black tea with hints of vanilla, star anise, and spices. - Nutella-Stuffed Brownie | A little dry. Unfortunately, I really don't understand the rave reviews. I bought an ube mochi cookie and have to echo the sentiment that there just isn't much of an ube taste at all, only some general sweetness. While I appreciate that it's not too sweet, I would not be able to identify the claimed flavor if not for the purple color, and my sense of taste and smell is typically pretty sensitive. I can kind of see why it's called mochi cookie, it is thick and somewhat chewy. That said, absolutely not worth the price to me and have paid less for better. I appreciate what the owner is trying to do and hope this brings more similar offerings to the market. read more

I came here and got the Thai tea and the pistachio cookie -- the Thai tea was wonderful and creamy but a bit too chewy for my tastes, and I felt like the pistachio cookie had a better level of crispiness on the outside. Note that this place caters and sells at a lot of places across SD in addition to their presence at the farmers markets! We stopped by here for cookies before going to Hawaiian Fresh Seafood for cookies and were surprised to see that Caked cookies were being sold there too, so the extra stop might have been for naught, but we're glad we stopped by this store anyways. Service was friendly and fast and the interior decoration of the store is actually quite cute! Ample parking in the lot. I love these cookies! This hole-in-the-wall located near Jaunt Coffee Roasters is the spot for delicious cookies. They are $4 each, and they are worth every single dollar. My favorite cookie so far has been the ube cookie - chewy, flavorful, not-too-sweet, and with a tasty ube flavor. If you time it just right, you can get freshly baked cookies that are not packaged yet (I had an M&M one this morning, and it was so bomb fresh). The pandan coconut mochi cookie is also a must-have! I have not tried their ice cream or brownies yet, but I am confident that they will be equally as good.
