Bought two different style of jeans here and spent over $220. They offer tailoring in-store - free day of purchase for raw or standard and I discount price for original hem. You can always come back with your receipt and pay for the hem which ranges from $10 - $30 (which I don't feel is worth it and you can find good tailoring elsewhere for half the price of each hem style). Levi is always a "safe" Jean. I'm not going to lie, I haven't own a pair of Levi's jeans since my 20s. Thru the years I've found brands that fit my body better or the material of jeans was what I was shopping for. Baggy has been in and for someone who grew up in the 90s this sounds like a dream come true but at this fine age, it's not as appealing but it's what's being sold. I've been very picking looking for the right "come back" style to come back to my figure and it's been tough. I've also decide to diversify my baggy Jean collections and wanted to throw in Levi's in the mix. Baggy jeans come in different styles - though baggy just looks baggy. Bought two different style of jeans here and spent over $220 - kind of pricey but feel they will last a long time even past the trend. One of them I customized a pants button for $5 - they have a selection of colors to pick from. Went with metallic rainbow and the button had SF CAL written on it. Will be back! First, a review of the store itself - I, like many women, HATE shopping for jeans. Hate hate hate…read morehate. I hate shopping in general, but jeans have always stressed me out (more on that below). I asked the first gal I saw for help, told her what I bought last time and that I lost some weight and needed help in finding the right jeans and that my main focus is fit and POCKETS. In her defense, I was standing in front of the women's jeans (but honestly, I hadn't noticed it). She went through her basic questions about style/fit and I just nodded and had no idea what she was saying. Then she was done with her description, so I just waved at what I was standing in front of and said "I guess these are fine" (like, literally, that is what I said). So she hooked me up with a pair from that section and a couple of others (I walked off with three total pairs). While I guessed the wrong size and they didn't fit (which I expected, and I told her as much because I really suck at shopping), my biggest problem was that  the pockets absolutely sucked (read that as 'too small'). The line for the dressing rooms was HUGE and that added to my stress so I was ready to give up and head home, but fortunately Amber was working at the fitting room. I took a chance and asked her some questions and, again, mentioned what I was looking for and she went and found me men's jeans that fit my requirements (size and POCKETS). Because she was so helpful, I ended out getting multiple pairs and even went online to buy some shorts when I got home (I was so stressed out that I forgot I wanted shorts). Next up, rating the Levi shopping experience: They offer a lot of styles and sizes and fits, which seems like the right thing to do, but there are too many options and if you're stressed about the experience that is exasperated by the options available. As I mentioned above, I forgot that I wanted a pair of jean shorts so came home and shopped online so that I could get what I wanted. I noticed that online they actually offered MORE sizes than what the store had (we only saw even numbered waists in the store and they offered odd numbers online as well). So I decided to pull up the sizing guide of the jeans that I had just purchased and discovered that it doesn't appear that their sizing is really waist sizing, and varies slightly based on what you're looking at (adding images for you from their website: women's bottoms is from the shorts page I was on, women's 501 curve, and men's 501 is the one that isn't labeled). There isn't a huge difference, but makes shopping at home for something other than what you have a little more difficult. One last thing I'd like to mention about my Levis experience - their Rewards program. We were in this exact store a few months ago and made a pretty large purchase, no one mentioned that Rewards program at the time. This time the gal checking us out mentioned it, we weren't members so she suggested we sign up right then and there. QR code takes you to their website and you have to create an ID and password. I'm sorry to sound old, but REALLY? There's a line of folks and I have to create a login RIGHT NOW to qualify for your rewards, include inputting a password? My fat fingers weren't cooperating and, again, I hate the pressure of people staring at me, so I literally said "F this" and told her not to worry about this. Come on, Levis, it's 2025 - let me just give you a cell number or email address to start earning rewards, then I can go home and create my login on my time. It doesn't appear that I can add information from my purchase receipt to get credit for the program., I spent time scrolling and even asked AI so I guess you can't. I wanted something compact, well-made, and made from real leather. As soon as I walked in, I was warmly greeted by the shopkeeper. She was incredibly friendly and welcoming. She asked what I was looking for and let me know that if I needed any help, I could just ask. When I told her I was looking for a pen case, she immediately showed me a display, and there it was--the perfect one. The quality of the leather is excellent. It's soft, nicely textured, and you can immediately tell it's genuine leather from the rich leather smell when you open the case. I bought the black one, but it also comes in several other colors. What surprised me most was the price. At only $15 out the door, it's an incredible value for a genuine leather product. I found cheaper options on Amazon, but most of those aren't made from real leather. This one is the real deal, and the craftsmanship is excellent. The store also has a great selection of bags, belts, wallets, purses, keychains, and many other leather goods. Overall, I had a wonderful shopping experience and couldn't be happier with my purchase. Athleta is one of the four main brands that Gap owns (Gap, Athleta, Old Navy and Banana Republic), and as a result, their customer service and return policies have always been solid. I also appreciate that Gap is based in California. I popped into the Fashion Valley location today, with the intention of looking for for some summery casual pants and possibly some new t-shirts. The store was nicely organized and the displays were welcoming. Sally provided excellent customer service from start to finish as well, and I was very impressed with her upbeat personality and kindness. Thanks for being a day brightener, Sally! I tried on a couple of things, and decided on some cute black pants with a white stripe. Super comfortable and flattering on. The other stuff I tried on was either cut a little weirdly for my shape, or too small. But, I'm happy with my pants. Athleta tends to be a little bit less costly than Vuori & Lululemon and not as pretentious, although their prices still skew on the higher side for athleisure in general. So while I do shop at all of these stores, I find the experience to be the most pleasant at Athleta. Mahalo!
