I came here with some coworkers last week. The place is awesome. I love how the seating is set up and the layout. We sat inside this time. The service was excellent too. The cutter gave us a piece of brisket and it was excellent. I got the sandwhich that had brisket, pulled pork and sausage. Holy $hit those meats were excellent. To keep it simple, the food was outstanding, the customer service was superior, and the aesthetic/ vibe was EVERYTHING! Amazing meats and honestly just as amazing sides!! We had to try it all when we visited over Christmas break. Usually have a pleasant experience here but our most recent Christmas Eve left me irked and unimpressed. We didn't feel like cooking the day before the festivities so decided on a safe and delicious choice of Caldwell. However, the rack of ribs that was given to us should not have been served or left the facilities. I get it sometimes they come out dryer than usual but the workers should've seen and avoided those ones. It was not only dry but extremely hard like jerky consistency - not only the end piece either, but the entire order we received. Thankfully we togo'd other items we well bc it was not edible. So disappointed on such a good occasion. The location is definitely very convenient right off Power and the lower 202 next to America's furniture warehouse. Plenty of outdoor seatings - super cute for night time eats too bc of all the string lights. They also have misters for hotter days. A couple of tables inside too. Legit, this place deserves all the 5-star reviews it gets. My family usually goes to places like Joe's or Waldo's or Rudy's for BBQ, and this place deserves to be at the top of the list with these places. The ribs were fall off the bone tender and delicious. The pulled pork was juicy and delicious. Green chili Mac and cheese was creamy and a bit of a kick. And the service is not to be ignored. We were checked on by several different employees throughout the course of eating. Some indoor seating. Lots of outdoor seating on their quaint patio. We really wanted to like this place because we love Texas BBQ and we had drove by on a Friday night and it was lined up. We came back on a Monday and it was quick service. We ordered 3/4 a pound of brisket, 1/2 a rack of pork ribs, potato salad and the corn casserole. The brisket was dry, no flavour and quite greasy. I never use bbq sauce and I had to for this. It was extremely disappointing. The pork ribs did have more flavour. My husband thought the corn casserole was tasty but a bit mushy. It was ok for me but I wouldn't have it again. I didn't mind the potato salad and unfortunately it was my favourite part of the meal. I feel bad giving a bad review but it simply missed the mark. read more

He recommended that we share the El General Patton sandwich After reviewing the menu we chose the El General Patton sandwich but did not share .. smoked tender sliced brisket, pulled pork and sausage served open face .. served with lemon poppyseed coleslaw and a side.. I went with the corn casserole .. yum it's got corn and green chilis .. the bf went with the potato salad .. and we got a tray of pickled jalapeño rings, onion and pickles. Lots of food, I couldn't finish this sandwich Meat by the pound, sandwiches, lots of sides (mac & cheese, beans, green beans, etc) and desserts. We really enjoy Caldwells and have been coming here or ordering take out at least once a month since they opened. Their barbecue is very good and consistent. However our favorite treat to get was their banana pudding. Unfortunately it seems they've recently changed it. It's now smaller with less vanilla wafers and fresh bananas. The pudding tastes more artificial. They're now $4 vs $6 but I'd much rather pay more for the old size and recipe. read more
