A few weeks ago I stopped into the shop, curious about a suspension upgrade. I met with Jay who was working the counter area. Jay was very helpful in showing me the different options for my Tacoma. I ended up purchasing a 6112/5160 Bilstein set up with Deaver stage one leaf packs. The installation was set up by appointment and done on time, without any issues. An appointment to recheck the suspension after three hundred miles went smooth as well. Cali Raised OffRoad runs a very professional operation. Their quotes for prices, receipts for purchases and appointment reminders are all sent to you via text and email. All the staff I encountered were very helpful and friendly, there's no "cool guy attitude" when asking questions or purchasing. I left, after the purchase and install, feeling confident that the work on my truck was done correctly and that if I had any issues, they would make it right. Can't say enough about the service here. I came in on Friday 2/3/23 they let me switch my appointment from Saturday to a Friday even though they were busy! I don't know where some of the hate comes from with Cali Raised but from my experience the staff welcomed me with open arms, made me feel like one of the homies, and above all completed the work I came in for; which was for rock sliders. Heck, they even offered me to have some of their freshly delivered pepperoni pizza as I waited upstairs for the work to be completed. Additionally, (and I apologize in advance as i didn't catch his name) the Asian dude with the goat-T beard was kind enough to let me Netflix a few movies as I waited patiently. My point of contact was Jay. Dude was really cool. I asked him if he could please take the predator step tubes, that came stock with my Taco, and he agreed to; only because I do not have a spot to store them in my place at my overpriced apartment in Los Angeles. I am hoping the shop can turn those around and make some cash. He also guided me through some other questions I had about leaf springs, work they can do if i bring in my own hardware like a roof rack, etc. Like I mentioned, I live in LA and getting to the shop is a PITA but I'll gladly go back to their business to get more work done in the very near future...maybe get some ditch lights, some leaf springs to bear more weight, tires. what do you think? read more

I first spoke with Jose and requested a quote for suspension work, we agreed on a price however he quoted me for a Tacoma and my vehicle is a 4Runner, this was the first mistake. Second mistake I ordered the prinsu roof rack, mind you this has all been paid for. Jose really has a lack of attention detail. I ordered the roof rack without drill and he made the mistake to give me the wrong one. The communication of this place sucks, once you pay for your items it's like they don't care. When we decided to go up to 285 70R17 tire on my wife's Toyota FJ, internet research indicated that a Body Mount Chop (BMC) would be needed. Ugh. The thought of taking a sawzall to our well cared for vehicle was not at all appealing to me. While reluctantly searching for a good how-to write up, I stumbled upon the Cali Raised Offroad website. This is a full service outfitter, and experts in the Toyota BMC modification. Although they sell parts for the DIY'er, I was much more comfortable relying on their experience to do our BMC right the first time. We made an online appointment and met with Morgan the next weekend. He and Jose are top notch. I drove to Buena Park California from San Diego to pick up my rock sliders for my Toyota Tacoma. They were available and I didn't want to pay the $189 delivery fee from the manufacturer. I paid to have them install it too which was worth it to me. The staff was friendly and the facility was clean. I would come back to purchase more off-road parts in the future. The only suggestion I have is to update their website for ordering. Hard to tell if the parts are in stock in their Buena Park store front. Overall happy with my purchase and experience. read more

Couldn't be happier with the customer service I got from Morgan at Cali raised he definitely doesn't fail or come up short on going above and beyond to keep customers happy but also makes sure the job is done correctly the first time, i got Baja lights installed for fog lights, Baja lights custom cut into the rear bumper, on board air along with train horns. Every install seems to be treated as if they are working on there own personal cars. Mikey is the only person I will let touch my truck, the attention to detail is top shelf and no corners cut. This shop was actually referred to me by a friend and I'm so happy I chose these guys to install my Prinsu rack, LED light bar, Baja Designs ditch lights and amber fog lights. Family owned and operated business, customer service and attention to detail is extremely important to these guys. They are very meticulous with their work, which is so nice to see and I know my money is well spent. Not only are they very friendly but they are also very knowledgeable about the products they recommend and install for you. They also carry a lot of name brands and they just received a bunch of Prinsu racks, and Baja Design's lights in their inventory, so I had options to chose from. If you don't have the opportunity to drop your car off and need to wait, they have a very nice waiting room with snacks, chairs, couch and a TV w/ Netflix. It's rather weird place to visit. There were three tuff men sitting high up in their desks seems like saying "I am not willing to help or I don't want to sell you". I do not understand how they get 4+star reviews. I visited this place knowing that they have the horrible customer service. I don't want to mention the customer service person but this person NEVER returns my call after I purchased and ordered my stuffs. I had to drive back to them after I left several messages. I ended up canceling my order after two days because I couldn't get the information of the products I ordered. There was another not too kind person told me that there will be 15% restocking fee which was ridiculous. How could he saying it without checking the order?? The order wasn't even processed. I ended up getting the total amount back after I was already upset for their customer services. I support the local business but they definitely deserve 1 star from the local. What an awesome, efficient, informative, and friendly off-road automotive shop ! I was looking into changing up the stock bilstein suspension (the blue/yellow ones I believe 4600s) on my 3rd gen tacoma, and was torn between upgrading to King vs. Fox suspension. I found the time in my work schedule to go visit off-road shop after off-road shop within my local area, it seems like everyone and their mother is working on building their rigs during COVID, as most places were all hustling, and a lot of product had a 10+ week lead time. What set apart Cali Raised Off-Road shop from the rest, was getting introduced to Morgan. Despite being extremely busy, he was patient and took the time to talk and educate me on the most optimal suspension kit I should have set up on my rig, based on how I would like to take my taco off-road. He even provided me a total price break down of each part including install/labor. Despite not being totally sure on pulling the trigger that day, he was totally chill and let me take my time to reflect and think about it, as it was a big financial purchase. In simple terms he was not pushy, which is very much appreciative from a customer service stand point. In the end, I decided to go with Cali-raised because I felt welcomed, and they genuinely cared about how I would like to build my rig, as opposed to trying to shove product down my mouth (like other shops I won't mention). Yes they are busy.......but they do really great work..... which is probably why they're so busy (see the correlation there?) -- So be patient people. btw, I went with Fox 2.5 Coilovers factory series w/DSC and rear shocks, Camburg tubular UCAs, and Deaver progressive leaf spring J66 series, can't wait to take it to the desert! Also shout out to the bigger guy at the shop, I forget his name unfortunately, but he also provided great service and information on different off-road lights, he hooked me up with some Baja Design SAE fog lights prior to the suspension upgrade !!! read more

Have to call this out because its probably one of the worst customer experiences I have ever encountered. That being said, they were great guys to talk to, just completely unreliable. You can't just say you're going to do it, you have to actually do it. Monday morning: Call in and talk to Alex to get information on product and install services. Monday afternoon: I drove to their shop across town and talked to Morgan about the parts and install services, we reviewed the project, and I asked for a quote for the parts and labor to be sent to me. Thursday: After waiting for the quote to appear for a few days I called in and talked to Alex, he told me Morgan was OOF but would be back the next day, and in any case he would take over and get it to me by Friday. Monday (the next week): Called in again because neither Morgan or Alex got me the quote. Got Alex again, who said they were busy and he'd get it to me that day. Essentially 3 phone calls, 1 shop visit, over 2 weeks, and I still don't have a work order. I gave them multiple chances over 2 weeks. Take that information for what you will, I won't be giving them a 4th chance. Hopefully they want your business a little more than they wanted mine. read more

Horrible experience with Cali Raised Offroad! I walked into their shop, ordered and paid in full for a RLD Canopy for my truck in early August 2021. I was told it should arrive at Cali Raised by Mid November, about 3 months. Around September/October 2021, I start asking about tracking information, they tell me that RLD is rushing the order for them, but it got pushed back. Over the next 5 months, Morgan tells me it is delayed, or it is stuck around South Korea, then off the coast of Baja California. Until March, then he says he has been locked out of GPS tracking. Now things are feeling real sketchy. April I ask Morgan for a full refund, he told me he could not make that decision but the owners will decide. After waiting 5 weeks and not getting an answer, I emailed the owner Jake directly, which he said he would not give me a full refund, but would give me one less 30%.  I decided to open a BBB complaint, which they did not respond too, for the almost 2 months it was open. I found out from the RLD Designs US distributor that the whole shipping container of RLD Canopies going to Cali Raised had been canceled (around the time I was asking for a full refund) and Cali Raised was refunded. Turns out, that container never shipped until mid July 2022! Once I found out this information, I contacted Jake and told him this. They finally gave me a full refund, after having my money for 11.5 months! No apology, nothing. Cali Raised has practically zero communication after they have your money. They just have excuses and finger point. They never let me know they canceled the whole container order from RLD Designs, and kept my money. Stay away from this company. And if you have ordered a RLD Canopy from them and have not received it or have not received a refund, contact them asap! read more
