Her car was dead. Wouldn't shift into gear. Could be the transmission... wouldn't start, had to be towed. This is an acid test for how good a shop is because here comes the stranger with maybe a bad transmission. And if you're going to gouge somebody, that's the person to gouge, right? So we tow it in at noon on a Friday. It's fixed by 4:00 the same day, and the total charge is two hundred dollars. I am a Yelp Elite from Magnolia, Texas, and I'm a real customer. This review is more about the experience I had when calling to ask a question. I had my check…read moreengine light pop on, stopped by Auto Zone to have it scanned and it told me the issue was my VVT Solenoid. This was for a 2016 Santa Fe Limited. I called Hyundai, 3 week wait just to get an analysis, a couple other places gave me 5-7 days before they could analyze it and told me it would be north of $400 to fix (minimum). Then I talked to Tyler at Christian Brothers. He was willing to set up a time to check out the SUV but he also asked me a couple questions. He told me the Hyundai was known to be an internal oil burner and asked when I had my last oil change. Ironically, it was a little overdue but no warnings or anything. He said if it was a little low it could set off that solenoid issue and he advised me to get a good oil change, drive the vehicle a couple of days and see if it resets itself. If not, they would be happy to look at it. Guess what? He was 100% accurate. I changed the oil, the check engine light went off. I even had the vehicle scanned again to check and there was no code error. Imagine that, a company giving sound advice to help you and not keeping their knowledge for profit. Thanks Tyler for being inquisitive, helpful and saving me an expense that would have been unnecessary. That customer care alone made me a loyal customer.

Going on a hunch (I passed on a shop closer bc the vibe wasn't right), it paid off. They've done thousand$ in various suspension work over the past few years and I'm only here bc I asked how I could put in a good review for them as a thanks. They seem pretty female-friendly too from what I've seen in the waiting room. Just be as specific as possible with your issue. They don't seem to advertise much (the pics are mad old) since they've got a whole building/shop next to the tire place now. A good "sleeper" shop as I don't care for the chain (get 'em in, get 'em out) type. Busier in the past few years, so be a little patient and you should (hopefully) be satisfied. Ok so we couldn't avoid a piece of wood in the road while in Houston. Ended up with a flat tire .3…read moremiles from Tire & Auto. We were a bit confused as to who we needed to see to get the tire repaired. The guys outside were busy and the lady inside told us to go outside. So we found a gentleman who was absolutely wonderful. We showed him where the leak was and he went to working. He ended up patching the tire bc there were 2 holes close together. We went inside the office to sit and wait. Other customers were pleasant in the waiting area which is a good sign. The family bathroom has a urinal, toilet and bidet which was neat but weird at the same time. Anywho, it took about 15 minutes and we were back on the road. He made sure all lugs were secured and pressure was right on the other tires as well. Sure beats my daughters experience at NTB by MD Anderson a few weeks ago...
