I recently took my vehicle in for a paint repair estimate. My right quarter panel was scratched and just potentially needed minor paint repair (no dents, etc). Tristan was completely honest and said he could just buff it out, which he did for free in about 10min. They are very honest, trustworthy, and do good quality work. Absolutely incomptence. Was told vehicle estimate to be ready would be 30 days ago and vehicle still not finihed. Have to call to get updates. Every week it's a new story of this employee had an emergency, have to get a tech from another store, etc. Not only would I not take a vehicle to this place, I would run far from it. read more

The vehicle repair landscape has changed drastically since I reviewed Caliber back in 2015. The customer service has improved, though the wait times are now way way worse. I submitted a claim to insurance to repair bumper damage back in August, and was told the first available appointment was early October. Lack of parts and lack of personnel are very real issues currently, plus I was fortunate that my car was driveable. I waited the two months and dropped it off at Caliber. They quoted me a roughly 2 week turnaround, it ended up taking 2 days longer, but Stephanie called me daily and kept me updated and what they were doing. Everyone I interacted with was courteous and professional, the wait time is just the nature of the beast currently. read more

Estimator spent 10 minutes to inspect damage to my GMC Truck. Received estimate via email 1 hour later which was 25% less than Covert Collision. Gave deposit for parts which arrived in one week. Repairs were completed 3 days later. Impossible to see where vehicle was damaged. Great job all around. I hope I never need to use Caliber Collision again, but should the opportunity present itself, they'll be my only choice. read more

The worst auto collision experience of my lifetime My auto was rear ended by a darling austin woman texting. The insurance company recommended Caliber Collision on 620 as their preferred collision repair. They took 30 days and sent low ball estimate to the insurance company. They did zero work, yet cashed the Insurance check. The company is poorly managed and the staff is, at best mediocre. I fell that as a customer, I was poorly treated and the insurance company paid for work that was never started. I do not recommend that any right thinking person use Caliber Collision. Customer satisfaction is not a priority. This was the WORST auto service experience in my lifetime. Please learn from my very negative experience. The senior managers should audit this Lakeway entity. read more

I wrecked my truck. Continental in Lakeway was the preferred location recommended by MetLife. After 2 1/2 weeks in the shop, during which I was never contacted proactively, I was told it needed to be shipped off to the Georgetown location because of the required framework. The bent frame was a know issue from about Day 2 - so why 2 1/2 weeks for this revelation? 2 1/2 weeks and absolutely no work was started. I am sure that MetLife is partially to blame in the communications black hole I am living in. But Continental promised for 3 days running that the truck was being sent to the Georgetown location on a tow truck. Each of these 3 days I had to call to follow up, and each day, it had not been sent. Not sure if they know how to perform body work, but customer service and communications is the worst ever. read more

OKay, so this is not a review on the workmanship they provide here, but rather the general customer experience. We had a vehicle that was totalled out, so they didn't do any work, so I can't speak to that. The front office is very nice, open, and has huge windows where you can see the work being done. The staff was friendly (dealt with two women at the front desk) and called with the necessary paperwork when the car was to be towed away. Tip, this is a dangerous part of 620... careful pulling out, especially if you are turning left. For what its worth, the other cars they were working on in here were pretty high end vehicles. I would assume folks with nice cars do research for who is going to fix them... read more

Caliber Collision - Watch the damage get fixed! - Body Shops Near Me - Austin, Texas

I had a plastic part of my rear bumper that was dented (daughter backed into a rock). I brought it to the Lakeway location on RM 620 for an estimate. The adjuster, Stephanie, informed me the small plastic section was attached to the rest of the bumper so if I really wanted it to look like new, the whole bumper would need to be replaced. But, if I could live with the scratches (which don't come out of plastic finishes), she might be able to bump the dent out. She proceeded to drive my car to a bay, took out a heat gun to warm the plastic, crawled under my car and bumped out the dent herself. Scratches still there but no more dent. Grand total she charged: $0! I was in/out of there in 10 mins. I would not hesitate to take any of my cars back to Stephanie when real body work needs to be done. Her actions are what good, honest customer service is supposed to look like. read more

I used the online estimator to get a quote for fixing a 4" scratch and ding in the hood of my 2007 MB. Scheduled a drop off time at Lakeway CC. The day and the time came, I showed up with a 'ride' to take me home. The 'inspector' Stephanie looked at the hood and said that they couldn't fix it after all. It was 'the wrong metal'. Aluminum, not steel. Needs to be fixed by a different CC location. So, after waiting all this time for an appointment, I have to start again with a different location. It's gonna be at least another month to get it fixed. Could CC not have noticed the issue and told me, prior to me taking time off to bring it in and asking someone else to take time out of their day to help me? Indifference. A shrug of the shoulders. Not my problem kinda POV. Can the new location see the online estimate? Nope. Do i have a copy? Nope, it was all delivered via texts to my cell phone. Am I going to have to start all over again? Yes. These folks haven't even touched the car yet and I am ticked off with their level of customer service. Lets hope the person with the paint gun can do a better job than the person with the clipboard and a magnet. read more

We went to get an estimate for our front bumper, which had been pulled off, and Stephanie got to work on the spot. In less than 20 minutes, she managed to put all the pieces back in place, and even remove some of the scratches. That kind of honesty and diligence gets loyal customers. After a rotten bit of luck with multiple other people colliding with my parked car on separate occasions, I knew I had to make an insurance claim. This place was out of my way, but the online reviews were great, so I gave em a try. I had never had to submit an insurance claim before, and they were ultra helpful and patient in walking me through the process. Also, I'm picky when it comes to vehicle detail and body work. I'm a total car nut! I was immensely impressed with the quick turnaround and the level of the work they performed. They really worked magic on my mazda's rear quarter panel. (I had to go out of pocket on that one and they had no problem producing amazing results within my budget!!) Took my car in for an estimate and the advisor seemed completely irritated the entire time and even more so when he realized my claim was covered by insurance and was not self pay (never mind it was clearly written on the form in his hand and was made clear when I made the appointment). We brought our 2012 Mercedes in to get some hail damage repaired. They performed the paintless dent repair and did an excellent job. They repaired hail dents across all but one side of the car as it was left out on the street directly in the path of the storm. Staff was friendly and courteous and overall we had a great experience with them. We've had the car back for a week now and I can't tell it had ever been damaged. One end of the plastic protector piece under my engine broke and I was unable to pry all the plastic bolt thingy's off. The piece was dragging on the road and made a horrible sound, especially if I had to back up. The other end was still safely intact. I stopped at Firestone on Quinlan and knew it would only take a couple of minutes for them to cut off the 4 other plastic bolts still fastened to the protector. The older gentleman there was pretty rude to me after he knew I wasn't buying anything. I asked if they could cut off the plastic bolts and that I was willing to pay whatever needed. He said they could, but it would be 2-3 hours till they could get to it. I told him I knew it would only take a couple of minutes. He just looked at me and said, well you can't expect me to put your car in front of the others, so you can either wait or leave your car and come back for it later. I was on my way out of town, so I couldn't wait. I then stopped at Continental Collision on 620 in Lakeway. The young guys/gentlemen there were super courteous and did not hesitate to help me. I offered to pay and they said there would be no charge because there was nothing to it. It literally took about 3 minutes. I hope I never get into a fender bender, but if I do, Continental Collision will be getting my business. 2 thumbs up!!! read more

Took my Porche Boxster to have an estimate done on dent extraction a few weeks ago. Gunner was kind enough to tell me that his regular dent guy Mike was out of town and would return in a week. He advised me to drop off my car one morning as the job was small and could be worked in to Mike's regular schedule. I called twice this week with no return call. When I called again this morning and spoke again with Jennifer, I was told that they have too much business and don't need any more. When I asked if I should take my business elsewhere she said, "I guess so". I told her I thought that was a shame as they have done work for me in the past and I also have an Infinity that I am looking to have some work done on. She seemed completely unconcerned about the lost business. U just lost a customer in me and my boyfriend who owns another Porche and a Lotus and my son with his Mini Cooper. Too bad...it sucks to feel that your business is not valued! read more

I'm not one to usually post reviews but I felt this one needed to be heard. First of all I was promised my car would be repaired from the body shop within 9-12 business days. I understand in a perfect world that never happens. But they had my car for over 3 1/2 weeks. Most body shops in the past that I've used usually would always keep me posted on where things were. Not this place. You literally have to call them every time. Not to mention depending on who you speak to, the answer is always different on the update of the vehicle. Apparently it's just one guy working on your car (from what I was told) which had I known that I would have went to another location or just a different body shop all together. I finally got my car back noticed the was still a sticker on the car and that they didn't even try to take it all off before giving it back. Then I pulled out of the body shop to make a right turn and realized they didn't even assemble my front tail light properly and so it wasn't even working. (In which I could get a ticket for) they said sorry but you will just have to take it back tomorrow instead of just taking care of it right then and there and staying a few minutes to fix it. I will be bringing my car back for them to fix the front tail light and hopefully I'll never have to be back. Their customer service is by far the worse I've ever had and your best doing more research before considering this place. (Also) they don't have a loaner car so if you were in my boat, you might end up paying $$ out of pocket for a rental car as well. read more

We took our car here because they were on our insurance company's recommended list. First they said our car would be ready in 4 days. When we called the 4th day, they said it would take 1 more week. When we called after a week, they said it would take one more week. So instead of 4 days, we are going on our 3rd week. All of this is after we booked our appointment 4 weeks ahead of time so that they would have everything ready when we brought our car in. There has been no communication, no apologies, just "one more week." After our bad experience and reading other bad reviews of this repair shop, (some are posted on the Lamar location by mistake), I'm going to let our insurance company know that they need to stop referring their customers to this business. Save yourself a lot of frustration and rental car fees and Do Not Take Your Car Here! read more
