Caliber deserves 100 stars! Another vehicle hit ours, and we explored options of where to take our SUV for repair. We went with Caliber after calling them to get a general idea of the process, timing, etc. From the initial conversation we had with one of their team members we felt well cared for and well informed. Very disappointing experience. I was scheduled twice over the past two weeks for a hail damage estimate, and both times I showed up only to be told the technician was not there and I needed to reschedule. No one bothered to give me a courtesy call, text, or email beforehand, so I wasted my time and had to take time off for nothing. After being ghosted twice, I'm actually glad I never left my car with them. If they cannot manage something as basic as an estimate appointment, I have no confidence in how they would manage an actual repair. They wasted my time over the past weeks, but hopefully sharing my experience will help others avoid the same frustration. Wow! This place is amazing. A few weeks ago an Über driver side swiped me. Their insurance works with Caliber Collision and I have had the best time with them. They keep me up today with the entire process with phone calls and text messages and I could log in and see the progress. They even have Enterprise onsite. The insurance company forgot to extend the rental for one more day but Caliber said they would make sure I am whole! They also told me the work is guaranteed for life of the car. read more

I had the BEST EXPERIENCE EVER having my SUV repaired at Caliber Collision/Park Forest location. My first encounter was with a very pleasant receptionist at the front door entrance . I explained to her that I needed an estimate on the cost of having a dent repaired on my car. She informed me that John the General Manager will be able to assist me. John was absolutely, positively AWESOME throughout the entire repair process. He initially explained throughly what needed to be repaired and replaced. I agreed to have my vehicle repaired there and that was the best decision I made for my vehicle and myself.. The most exciting part of my vehicle being repaired is that Caliber Collision texted me daily; photo progress of my car being repaired. That was very impressive to actually see the progress of repair. I was initially provided an estimate date of delivery. My car was completed 1-week earlier. It looks brand new just like I purchased in Nov 2024. Way to go Caliber Collision..Keep up the good work. read more

Just wanted to give an update to anyone trying to bring their vehicle into this facility while using Silver Rock Insurance. When you get on the phone with them they will give you the wrong information regarding the process. Step one Is locating a repair facility within the network, which is what I did in order to schedule an appointment for an estimate, The Facility then diagnoses the vehicle and has to call silver rock to start the claim. The gentleman on the phone told me that process is incorrect, & tried to state that Illinois has a guideline that doesn't allow it. I mentioned that a competitor, (Gerber collision) takes appointments with no problems and they gave me no hassle with scheduling. He said "well take your vehicle over to Gerber then" Here's the thing, if you claim to be within the insurance network, make sure you know what information the network provides to the customer, and follow the steps that they provide accordingly. Don't try to be dishonest by trying to give the customer the runaround and misinformation on a claim process. I'll be contacting silver rock regarding the experience & misinformation you guys have provided. read more

This place is great and deserves to be recognized as such, because: 1) They use a texting service that delivers responses right to the representatives desk. They are communicative and you are constantly made aware of the status of your repair service. 2) My car is a unique color. They ordered the part, customized the paint to match and it looked just like it rolled off of the factory lot. 3) They give honest and trustworthy estimates. My estimate for bumper repair was $578 the exact same damage was estimated at $1,689 and up at a different business. Why the difference in price? The other companies were trying to charge me to replace parts that were not damaged. As a result, of their estimates I went through my insurance and that's how I found out about Caliber. Unfortunately, I had a $500 deductible and my insurance only had to pay $78, but if it weren't for my insurance I wouldn't have found them so win-win. 4) They have excellent customer service and were extremely patient with me. There was a misunderstanding about something related to my car and they went above and beyond to make me happy when I later found out it wasn't their fault. It was an act of fate that something else went wrong on my vehicle unrelated to my accident, but they smiled and fixed it anyway. 5) They are located in a safe part of town in the West Loop. 6) Their office is sanitized and relatively clean. 7) They provide free estimates. I know a lot of places do but a lot of them don't! They have to take parts off to view the damage and they don't charge for that which is interesting and appreciated. Why didn't they get 5 stars when they clearly are a top-notch place? 1) I requested an estimate for additional damage that was on the car outside of my accident and they agreed to provide me with that estimate the next day. The next day came and went and so I reminded them but they never got the estimate to me in time. It was a whole 6 days later before I picked my car up and that's when I was handed and estimate for the other work which at that point made me just want to take my car home and get back into the swing of things so I never got the other work done. 2) They are crazy busy! They are partnered with a lot of insurance companies and as a result they have a lot of cars coming in for repairs. I dropped my car off on a Tuesday evening for a bumper replacement. I didn't get my car back until Monday. To be fair to them, my appointment was for Wednesday so I dropped it off one night early but still I expected it back by maybe Friday for such a simple replacement. On the other hand, they had to order the part which took a day and then after receiving it they still took two additional days to paint and finalize it. 3) They are not open on the weekends which sucks because that results in an even longer wait during the week because they have to handle all of their volume Monday through Friday. The flip side of this is during Covid when the city's still partially shut down it might be in the best interest of the employees to close shop for the weekends to limit exposure and allow for cleaning of their work stations. Who knows their reasons but a lot of auto body shops aren't open on weekends anymore because of Covid. At the end of the day, they were very nice, did excellent and trustworthy work. I will definitely use their service again. I would strongly suggest anyone who is paying out of pocket try this place because you can trust that they won't tack on extra things to increase the price for extra profit like a lot of their competitors are doing. This place is a total scam and I wouldn't recommend it to ANYONE. My wife had an accident and had front bumper damage. We decided to use this location due to the reviews and the fact that they were listed as one of the businesses associated with State Farm's network. The car was dropped off and we received an estimate from Caliber via State Farm. We would find out that the estimate was based on a visual inspection (the car was never taken apart). My wife spoke with the insurance company and decided to take the payout and get the car fixed on her own. Fast forward to a week and a half later we contacted Caliber Collision and was told that we would receive a text once they were ready to work on it and at that point my wife would let them know if she wanted to pay a $150 disassemble fee so that they could see what exactly needed to be fixed on the truck. We never received a text and after contacting my friend who is a mechanic we decided to pick up the truck and take it to his shop. Upon arriving at Caliber the truck was disassembled and now the manager Arie wanted to act like she was doing us a favor by waiving the $150 fee for disassembling it when no one never told her to take it apart to begin with. Then she proceeded to tell us we could take it as is (no bumper or headlights attached) or have it towed to the other shop. Long story short, Caliber decided to put the headlights on so she could drive it away & put the bumper in her tailgate. This place is a ripoff ($630 (labor not included) for a front plastic grill that cost only 150-200 max). Ari's custom service skills leave a lot to be desired and trust me if you want to save yourself a headache find another location to take your vehicle. read more

I originally would have given Caliber Collision 5 stars for the work that they did on my car after an accident 1 year ago however, one year out from their work my bumpers are both falling off. I took the car to my private mechanic who said that multiple critical parts from the undercarriage of the car are missing and many clips were not installed when the work was done and that is why the bumpers are falling off. At the time that Caliber did the work 1 year ago, the car looked great. Little did I know they had cut corners in areas that they knew weren't visible for me to catch until much later. read more

My experience was Caliber completed the insurance covered job to the minimum passing grade allowable. Quality of work and function of vehicle is no where near what it was prior. The work they do is good. However my technician constantly lied to me about parts. One day saying their in and ready to be installed, then the next day the items never arrived and will come next week. The following week comes and I get the same response twice. Originally a 2 week job was turned into a month and some days. I understand that items can be delayed or back ordered, but tell me. I was lied to on several occasions regarding parts and when I'd get my vehicle back. The vehicle I turned in was my work truck and I've missed out jobs left and right due to them constantly giving me false information and lies. As I said before the work the did was good. My car had incurred from damage during a rain storm, and I brought it to caliber collision after I had filled a Claim with my insurance company. The person who helped me with my car was kind and affable. The car took about a week to fix. When I picked it up, I first thought it looked okay but then once I drove it off the lot, I noticed that the windshield was a little distorted. I had to bring the car on again and I was informed that my new windshield was defective. The guy Told me that the windshield was ordered from a third party and that he had to order a new one, so I had to bring my car in a third time which was a little tedious-- but the people there were very professional and had my car back to order that same day. All in all I would have liked the experience to have taken fewer steps but I had a pet solid experience with the service and quality of work at caliber collision. read more

UPDATE: I got a comment here from someone telling me to contact them so that we could discuss my experience. I reached out via email with the information requested weeks ago and no one has contacted me to date to discuss this experience. I am sure the same is true for others here whom they contacted with the same message. Clearly, their message was all for show. Again, take your business elsewhere. -------- Take your business elsewhere. This place is incredibly shady and demonstrates poor business etiquette. I've had three or four services here for two cars and EVERY time there had been an issue. In hindsight, I guess it was silly of me to think that the last time would be any different but I overlooked the previous issues because this place is near one of my condos. This was the final straw. I scheduled an appointment two weeks out for one of my cars. During those two weeks, I called THREE times to confirm with the employees here that the service would be 100% covered by insurance and that I would have nothing due out of pocket. Each time, the employees stated that they had confirmed multiple times that nothing was due and that they had an email confirming same. Alaina left a voicemail confirming same. On the day of pickup, I received a call from Ryan, the General incompetent Manager, that there was an issue with the insurance and that I would need to pay $500 to get my car back as insurance was not covering the cost of the service 100%. It turns out that they had confirmed details for the wrong car which they conveniently noticed right after my service (after I had asked them to confirm multiple times previously). THEY MADE THE MISTAKE BUT TRIED TO SAY IT WAS THE INSURANCE COMPANY'S FAULT. Instead of owning up to the mistake and eating the cost, Ryan demanded I pay for what I was told would be 100% covered THEN SAID HE WOULD NOT GIVE ME MY CAR BACK CITING THAT IT WAS NOT REGISTERED TO ME. I had this car serviced here before so he KNEW that I was, in fact, the registered owner. Ryan T. was intentionally antagonizing me. He and his team of incompetent staff (specifically Chris and Arianna H.) then proceeded to mock the situation in front of me. Nichole M., the Regional Manager, was just as bad. I wish I could give more stars. I walked in for a quote for some very minor damage to my car. Ryan was so helpful, at a time they were short staffed and busy! Ryan and his team went above and beyond. My car was hit while parked on the street - basically had someone's bumper marks and scratches. Another place told me I basically needed to replace the left rear panel of my car and I thought it just needed to be buffed out. Do NOT use this location. I worked with someone named Elaina at first to get my claim filed and sent to them and she was extremely helpful and kind. I let her know that I needed to figure out a good day to bring my car in because me and my partner share a car and would need to figure out a rental car because we have a small child that goes to daycare everyday. Whoever called me today was nasty and terribly rude as soon as I answered the call.... she starts the call by saying " were you still planning to bring your car here or would you like for us to erase the claim." I let her know I spoke to someone yesterday and she cut me off and aggressively said "yeah my coworker, my coworker." I asked her if there was a date I needed to have my appointment scheduled by and she rudely said "no we just don't want claims sitting on our books." I then said I'm trying to figure out a rental car and she cut me off AGAIN and said you'll need to go through all state for that which I already knew ... I then let her know I won't be using their service anymore and ended the call. RUDE and NASTY for no reason... now I have to find somewhere else and I'll be letting All State know to warn people about this location. read more

When I arrived she wasn't there and nobody knew about my appointment. My name and information wasn't in their schedule. I was seen by somebody else who said he couldn't give me an estimate to send to my insurance. Well, that is why I was there in first place. even though i thought it was strange I made an appointment to drop off my car. The appointment was made verbally for about 2 months. Today I called to cancel my appointment, since I found another shop to do it sooner. The lady answered the call and said there is no appointment under my name.
