I been meaning to write this review for the longest but just getting around to it. Back in January, I damaged the passenger side of my car and always saw this business so when my insurance company informed me that this was one of my options to go to for repairs, I went ahead and reached out to them. Carlos reached out to me right away and answered all my concerns that I had. One of my biggest concerns is the timeframe of the repair and he assured me that it will be under 30 days. Took my car in and they arranged the rent a car process, finished my car repair in under three weeks instead of a month and also let me leave the rental car with them instead of arranging to take it back to the rental company. The service Carlos provided was so professional and friendly that I know if I ever in need of auto body repair on my car, this is the place I'll always go to. read more

The nicest front desk receptionist EVER called the Manager Luis to come out. He walked out to the car explained to me about the paint. Took my car for about 20 minutes. Brought it back with match up paint and two spots undetected. I literally was in tears. They just did work previously. I get top tier MVP service down to the car rental. My experience with the call service remains the same, however I was contacted by the regional manager regarding my experience (after reaching out to the company directly) who has worked very hard to rectify the situation. I was able to bring the car in for an estimate only, which took about 15 minutes and was performed by the same regional manager who contacted me. He was professional, polite, and candid in his assessment of the damage and the estimate was sent to both my insurance company and me within an hour of leaving the Hawthorne location. So far my experience with the Hawthorne location specifically has been very good. read more

My car, 2013 Mini Roadster, was rear ended; leaving damage, mostly cosmetic to my rear bumper. Dropped off on a Monday and returned the following Monday. Looks great and as of this review (Thursday) nothing has fallen off and or no rattling. Dropping off was a breeze. Came in, signed a few docs, walked around the vehicle with one of their staff to assess the repairs needed (visually) and document other, unrelated damage. In and out within at most, thirty minutes. Received a call the following afternoon explaining the damage found beneath the bumper and going over the needed replacement parts. Returned this past Monday and other than a little wait, while two customers ahead of me were tended to, the final paperwork, as well as the inspection with one of their staff - took less than 45 minutes. They are receiving 1 star because MOST of the auto body work looks good. HOWEVER, now driving the vehicle today, it's rattling. There is still a dent left. Fiber shroud is severed & falling out the bottom. Bottom of Drivers door is cracked. After driving, the car seems to be emitting burnt odor on driver's side. Honestly, it isn't safe to drive it until undercarriage is ! PROPERLY repaired! This car is a BRAND NEW 2022 Elantra purchased in April. Prime condition until t-boned by another driver Also, in our opinion, the few Caliber Collision Hawthorn employees we dealt with were unprofessional in the updates of my car's status. Incompetent in completing the necessary task at hand in a reasonable time & fashion. Charles; specifically, was rude to me, condescending & overall unhelpful in conversation. I had to return my rental vehicle on the day my car WAS (for the 3rd time) said to be finished w/courtesy delivery. But, it was not ready at that time. I told Charles because of their error in estimating, I would be without a car. Of course, he said he wouldn't help w/rental extension & in the end, DID NOT care. Their text messages to me were sporadic & clearly false each time they claimed my car would be completed. My husband & I would always have to call Caliber's office for updates. They had my car from late June to literally TODAY 8/19/22! To be w/o a car (that had only $8k worth of damage ) for Well over two months was ridiculous. Having to call for updates on the days the car was "estimated" to be completed was nonsense. it took a call to the general manager to finally get the car delivered within a week! Charles was only polite AFTER we had to talk to the general manager. The car looks is like new. Damaged doors & frame are intact. The paint job is really good... *****BEWARE:**** If you choose Caliber Collision HAWTHORN, your car will EVENTUALLY be fixed, but don't expect them to be professional. GREAT SERVICE, Professional, Amazing SHOP!!!! I was in a car accident and took in my car to Ben and the Caliber Collision gang. My car was expected to be ready in 25 days from the day I took it in. Ben knew my rental was covered for 20 days and did everything he could to get me back in my car before the rental expired. The damages were taken care of and the car was left looking fresh. I do have to return for some trim and door stickers, but all is well. There are a couple of things I need to bring to Bens attention but with the service i was given I'm sure everything will be squared away. Caliber collison in Hawthorne can not trust them manager Luis is disrespectful and in need of help he stop answering the phone to not assist me because he did not want to help. Due to inexperienced mechanics they made a mistake on my car they for got to connect and install parts causing my car to completely shutdown on the 405 freeway January 5 2023. This is my second time using this body shop. Both times I have been satisfied with the work done to my cars - which is most important. However, the reason for 3 stars is customer service. On my first repair they informed me my car was ready and when I arrived for pick up it was not ready - I expect better communication. My second repair was estimated at $150 and to take 2-3 days. The car was not complete for over 10 days and the total came to $1300. I understand additional damage is discovered upon disassembly but I was not notified of the additional damage until pick up. Upon pick up I was told my car would be ready in 5 minutes but I waited nearly an hour as all of the adjusters worked with new customers rather than focusing on completing my pickup. Also, there is only one front desk staff member to answer phones and welcome new customers. With the volume of customers they have they need at least two front desk staff members daily. Finally, I told them exactly what time I would pick up my car and they informed me it would be washed - it was not. Again, the actual work is good but the customer service and communication is lacking overall. read more

This location has very poor customer service. I brought my car in to get a estimate two weeks ago. After photos were taken I was told that someone would call and send the estimate to me. Great. A week and a half later I had to call them to let them know that no one has contacted me. The front desk rep said she would pass on my information to the service agent and he would get back to me... this happened 2x and still no call. No problem I will take my business else where! It's ridiculous that I have to chase down someone to give me a estimate here. Save your time and go elsewhere. read more

The people there are very nice. The quality of their work is poor. I have waited several months to give a review because I was hoping they will repair my car properly. It is been since August that my car is still not completely finished. The first time they installed my windshield air was coming in because it was not properly sealed it look like a kindergartener had put that window in and the molding was swaying in the wind it was a horrible job. They repaired it again and I was somewhat satisfied. My rear-view mirror is still broken and if I can post a picture I will post a picture showing you how it has looked since August. I'm really grateful for everything Paul did to deliver the best service possible. He went above and beyond. My car was initially supposed to be ready in two days but the bumper he had ordered for replacement was not in great conditions so he notified me, notified enterprise to extend my rental, and ordered a bumper straight from the dealership. When I arrived to pick up my car, he asked to speak with me for a minute and showed me pictures of extensive damage the car had underneath the bumper. The initial damage I took my car for was not too bad. I bought this car used this January and wow was the damage bad. I asked if he could share the pictures to show the person who sold the car to me and he was very nice and send me the pictures. Their customer service is exceptional! If I could leave no stars I would. Caliber Collision Center in Hawthorne California is an absolute joke of a repair shop. My car accident was on August 18th. I took my car in trusting that they would take care of the repairs in a timely manner. Well now it has been over 3 months since my accident and I'm just now getting my vehicle back and the repairs are still not completed. Every other day they told me my car would be ready and when I go to pick it up they had to fix something. They had back orders on parts. It was to the point where I bought some parts myself and brought it in thinking it would speed up the process. Caliber Collision Center would misplace some of the parts I brought in. I feel that Caliber Collision Center is in an incompetent repair shop, they are understaffed, they're rude and they do not give true updates on your vehicle repairs. Caliber should have never accepted my vehicle for repairs if they weren't able to properly fix my vehicle. Caliber Collision should consider revamping their customer service etiquette they should consider hiring more staff to complete the repairs for vehicles and they should consider not accepting Vehicles if they're unable to make the repairs in a timely manner. This is my second time getting my vehicle repaired with Caliber Collision Center and I am highly disappointed just like I was with the first experience with working with them. I thought I would give them a second chance and they prove to me that they cannot be trusted with my vehicle. Now I have to find another repair shop to complete my repairs.
