The Manager, Kenny Barker, and staff at Caliber Collision, Indio, helped me out so much when my car was damaged by pieces of a blown truck tire on the freeway. I was on my way to Palm Desert for a week's vacation, and the damage occurred just before my exit from I-10 to Palm Desert. As a result of the damage, something in the undercarriage was dragging on the ground, and I had to get it fixed in order to drive the car. The Manager at the resort where I was to stay recommended Caliber, and I'm so glad he did. The damage occurred about 3 p.m. on a Friday afternoon, and I knew the repair shop was only open until 5 p.m., so I hurried right over there to see if they could find out what was dragging on the ground and fix it. The ladies at the Front Office were very courteous and Kenny checked out the damage to my car right away. They fixed the undercarriage so that nothing was dragging, and I was able to drive my car. I offered to pay for their services, but Kenny said, "No charge." I was so impressed with the way they handled my problem and got me on the road again. A few days after getting my car back after body work AND great customer service at Caliber Collision, I heard a sliding noise under the floor of my car when I accelerated or applied the brake. I was convinced that one of mechanics had left a tool under the floor board. I went back to the shop and took Nick for a spin to see if he heard what I heard, which he did. Imagine my surprise when a bit later I was given a handful of old doggie treats and chews! Solving the mystery involved removing the seats and the floor board again so I expected a bill. NOT! My USAA insurers listed these folks as one of those covered by it, & the many earlier favorable reviews on Yelp caused me to decide to go with them. And I have to say I could not have been more pleased, from start to finish. The very nice lady behind the front counter remained helpful & cheerful even when their office was full of folks needing her assistance. John Long, the USAA estimator, was friendly & most efficient. He surprised me by saying they could have the parts for my imported VW needed in a week, & the car repaired in about another week! In today's crazy world, with friends having their damaged cars held up getting repairs for more than a couple of months, I was stunned by this news. And good to their word, the repair work was finished to my complete satisfaction a couple days earlier than forecast. The ice cream on the cake was when I picked up the car today & got ready with my wife to return the rental car, Tod, who had earlier taken me to the rental car agency to pick up the car, offered that he could handle the physical return of the rental & do all of the close out paperwork online for me. I had a fender bender in a local shopping center, and my insurance company, Mercury, highly recommended Caliber in Indio, CA, for the repairs to my car. I was assigned to Josh as my service adviser. From the moment I checked in at the front desk until I picked up my repaired car, my experience with the staff was thoroughly efficient and professional. The car seems to be back to as it was when new. Josh kept me updated on the progress of the repair which didn't take long at all. Incredible service from local business I was unfortunately in a minor car accident last Friday. Driver behind me wasn't paying attention to traffic slowing down on 111 and sped up instead of slowing down. No one hurt, a minor incident. We exchanged information and I called my insurance ( Triple A ) and filed a claim. The adjuster asked if I had a repair facility in mine and I said no.He asked if I wanted some recommendations and upon saying yes please he sent me a list of 5 local shops to try if I wished to do so. I called the first one ( listed by distance from home ). I am SO SO SO glad I did. Let me tell you about the most amazing experience I have ever had relating to cars. Caliber Collision in Indio is the ONLY place I will and would ever take my car. From the first hello on the phone with the front office ladies then the Estimator/Service Advisor assigned to my case I have been treated like royalty. Vince Wood walked me thru each step. He called me this morning to give me a run down of estimate and had already uploaded estimate and had it approved by insurance. Unfortunately, I was hit again recently while backing up out of my driveway. Because of the last two experiences with caliber, I chose to go with them again for the bodywork. After picking up my car, I noticed my tinting on the windows was torn & my entire glovebox was severely scratched. I called Steve to let him know and he appeared to get right on it. The glass guy did eventually come out to my house but stated that he really isn't responsible for any torn tint on the glass that he removed. He did offer to have it redone at a place that was nowhere near me. When I asked if I could use my normal tinter that was near my house the reply was "no". I ended up paying to have it redone myself. As for my severely scratched glovebox, I am now getting the runaround. Caliber is not admitting any responsibility and I keep getting told that they're trying to contact the manager about ordering a new one, that was a few weeks ago. read more

-Vincent Wood took my car assignment & FAILED to call me back w/estimate totals for repairs,so I had to hunt him down for information;call multiple times. -Vincent claimed there are no storage fees & also no fees if they did not disassemble my car for an estimate;fishy. (Now,I know why). -I felt uneasy with Vincent not calling me within (4)days w/estimate for repairs, so on (1-21-19)@11am, I called Vincent before I removed my car from Calliber Collision in Indio (Ave.44). -Vincent claimed my car was not disassembled for the estimate, at all, but still billed my insurance($150)!DISHONEST---They need to REFUND the ($)to my insurance. -When I arrived at the office to pick up my car to take it elsewhere for an estimate/repairs, Elaine, the receptionist was rude & she failed to give me the ACTUAL estimate for repairs that VINCENT had quoted me totalling ($7552)!DISHONEST. Instead, she gave me an "dummy"estimate w/a bunch of ($0.00); INACCURATE/MISLEADING figures. I felt disrespected & felt that all was a waste of time while my car was in their hands. -Louise, the tech.came to the front office w/my keys to my unrepaired car but when I got to my car, the car would not turn on & the battery was dead! (Did they swap it?) -I noticed that the technicians had also DISASSEMBLED my car, contrary to the (LIE) that Vincent had previously said of my car not being disassembled. (The shop had tampered w/it but Vincent had LIED to me). -Both left doors were NOT able to be pryed open when my car 1st arrived, but now they had obviously been pulled apart/diassembled by Calliber Collision. Vincent Wood had LIED! -My seat covers were stripped off too, seats stained, floor mats missing & worst.. --The regulator was in place on the driver side window door, but the shop STOLE the GLASS window out of the driver side door! THIEFS!!! --Nicolas, the tech. indicated in front of his manager, Kenny Barker that he had been told that my car was going to be sent to the junkyard down the street, as a way to (justify) STEALING the glass window out of the driver aide door!! -Kenny Barker, the manager had NO explanation for the THEFT by his crew & kept telling Nicolas, the tech. to shut up! Note: At thispoint, I asked Kenny Barker for tje ACTUAL estimate for ($7552) quoted per Vincent & he gave me a print out with an estimate for ($6,010.71). -Once again, this shows that Vincent lied about the ACTUAL estimate in order to possibly collect over ($1,000) for his own profit!! -Vincent SHOULD NOT be trusted. -This shop STOLE not only the glass window but damaged & removed other parts from my car,too. --(1-21-19@12pm)I called the Indio Police Department to file a report for STOLEN items. --(1-21-19)I called my car insurance to notify them about the THEFT/ STOLEN property by Calliber Collision!! --Note: My insurance had not deemed my car a total loss by my insurance but even if it was, why would CALIBER COLLISION (STEAL) my property from me? --WARNING: If you do NOT want you car's parts to be stolen & if you do not want to get FALSE or misleading ESTIMATES then do NOT ever take your car to, Caliber Collision in Indio, CA on (Ave.44). They sent me regular text updates so I knew what was happening with my vehicle. When I picked it up, it looked great, even better than before, and had been detailed. I walked in this morning and the two girls at the front desk are definitely not customer service friendly! You're not greeted when you enter, acknowledged or don't feel welcomed. The phones are consistently ringing and the two girls also answer them at the same time while attending you without saying excuse me. When you are speaking to them they have you standing and waiting for them until they hang up the phone. I walked in seeking for an estimate and the girl with the short black spiky hair asked me for a name while chomping on gum. She immediately said she couldn't locate the claim. First, she didn't even ask me what I needed or why I was there for. I stated I was hit and hadn't notified the insurance being used I was coming, I was just simply wanting an estimate. She then stated 10:15am is the next time available. She was very rude and definitely has no passion in her job or helping others. I walked out and said I didn't want to wait almost two hours for an estimate while the lobby was empty. I advised her of her poor customer service skills as I exited and the sad thing is she never once apologized or looked like she cared I was unhappy. No wonder their reviews are the lowest out of their three other locations. I decided to use Indio Collision Center instead. I walked in and was treated much differently, their reviews are much higher and they provided me with top quality customer service! The actually care about their customers. read more
