Not happy with my repairs car was returned to me dirty and the repairs are done really poorly! Paint doesn't even match rest of car!!! Paint is coming off on door and around window they removed. They left scratches on metal trimming around window and made new scratches on driver door!!!! Old parts were left in backseat!!! Will never recommend this place and will never return!!!! I also complained to my insurance so they don't get paid on claim!!! read more

So I know I said in the past this place was great everybody who they had that was good as gone I had to take my car back 8 × 2 get it fixed correctly and it broke again and the colors are completely off and the guy tried to tell me that that it's because it's plastic versus metal like I'm some kind of idiot and then he tried to blame his bad craftsmanship on saying that my bumper got hit when I had to take it back there 3 × 2 get the same thing fixed. It's not that the bumper got hit it's that they're they do-and unprofessional job and they don't get it done the right the 1st 2nd or 3rd time . Not only that they have a satisfaction guarantee what is that worth if they don't honor it if I can tell you the amount of time that I have wasted coming back-to this place of my life It's unbelievable I would never take my card in this place again they used to have a good crew not anymore this place is a joke and I'm calling USAA to tell them. read more

So my girlfriend got her car fixed through the insurance and sent us to this caliber and I have to say we were both completely satisfied with the repairs done! Ivan helped us out and wrote an estimate on the spot and well informed us of the procedures that would be done step by step so we dropped off our car that day and he kept informing us on our vehicle through the process. We never had to call and he was very polite and informative about the car the whole time it was there. The receptionist and manager were very polite as well and we didn't even feel like it took too long before we had our car back and left our car very clean and looking brand new as if nothing ever happened! We highly recommend this shop, I've had my own car fixed at other shops and I have not ran into someone like Ivan who actually knows what he's doing and is very cooperative through the whole process! This place has gone way downhill since the first time I went there. I brought my car there last week and they made an appointment with me to bring it in today. When I went, for the repair of a small dent, they told me that they wouldn't to any repairs on my car because it has a rotary engine, even though they have worked on it several times over the past years. If they have a new policy, they should have not make an appointment with me. It was a waste of my time. This is the follow up review from 1/13/17 As I wrote in my first review, I was extremely impressed with everything about Caliber Collision especially when it came to the personal care I received. Daniel Perez - Service Advisor was outstanding when it came to making sure I was well taken care of. However, customer service can turn sour as time goes on. In this case, Caliber and Mr. Perez exceeded my expectations as far as how well everything turned out. I hadn't expected my car to be ready for another two weeks when I received a phone call from Mr. Perez with the great news that my car would be ready for pickup two weeks early! Amazing! Maybe it was because of my complaining I hadn't been smart enough to add car rental to my insurance policy and was paying for my rental out-of-pocket, don't know, but because my car was ready, I avoided two weeks of car rentals. When I picked up the car, it looked great! Perfect. They had also cleaned and washed the car. Those who had worked on my car were obviously proud of their work, as they should have been. All the paperwork was done and all I had to do was sign and I was on my way. Great experience. I highly recommend Caliber Collision and Daniel Perez as well as everyone from Lea to Diego to Louis and others whose names I'll have to add here later. Great experience! read more

My car had weather damage. Notified insurance company, and Caliber was on their approved list. Employees at the body shop were generally friendly. The quality of work has been found to be subpar, and in bizarre ways. The work on the car involved replacement of front windshield, and repainting of the front end. The paint work and glass replacement went without a hitch. When I received the car, the power steering was borderline non functional (to be fair, it was naturally heavy to begin with), and the service manager scoffed at my reaction to this. Shortly after leaving the shop, I noticed my gear shifter was improperly mounted onto the spoke (it was upside down.) This is odd because no work was supposed to be done in the car. It took much back and forth between the shop, my insurance company, and myself to get this this specific problem resolved. On my own time, I looked under the hood to give a visual inspection, and found stray pieces of plastic, styrofoam, and other evidence of carelessness with my car. All documented and sent to the insurance company for review. In the end, it took a second round of inspection work by the body shop to clear this mess up. I'm writing this review now (as this was well over two months ago) because in doing more work on my car, I continue to find evidence of incompetent work, though thankfully nothing mechanical. I'll never do business with them again. read more

First appointment I made, when I showed up the insurance agent did not and Caliber said he called in sick. Failed to call me to cancel/resched appt. I was given the Insurance rep phone number and when I called his voicemail said he would be out of the office until the following week. Obviously a planned leave. I was then given the insurance reps supervisor contact info and he said Caliber was completely booked and could not take in any more appointments. Curious how the online appointment app scheduled me...I left an email with my insurance, as well as calling another supervisor and left a voicemail. To which neither were replied to. So I changed Caliber locations. This time I was sent text updates as to when my car would be finished. First it was daily which I appreciated, until the texts stated completed date multiple times for different days. I then emailed Callibur to voice my concern of completion. Their rep called me this morning to say the car will be finished by end of the day. No call later in the day as to what time...So I called to confirm the pickup and was told today at 6:00. As I arrived, I saw my hood open....apparently not finished. Their rep came in and said it was not ready and they had the wrong part. Should be ready tomorrow...Can you not pick up the phone to TELL ME?! In the mean time, cancelled clients, paid childcare... I will say I used Callibur once before a few years ago and that went smoothly. I however, will never give them business again. read more

This place fucken sucks!! I went to there sister store on La Cienega the first time but they said they couldn't do it so they sent my car to this store! No never again will I go back here!! They let my car rot in the back for a month before they even worked on it and I had a rental and I had to pay so much extra because they didn't do there job! Then they told me that the person working on my car got fired and they had to reassign it so then I waited another week and a 1/2 for them to do that. I waited a month and a half just so they could tell me my car was totaled!!! And I don't know who they hired but there all fucken idiots. The girl in the front isn't helpful and she is dumb as rocks. I went and got my stuff out of my car and released it to them and 2 hours later I got a call from my insurance asking me to go release the car because they forgot I already went!! I was amazed at there stupidity. Also they stole stuff out of my car. My iPod was stolen and a pocket knife and of course there is no way of proving this! So if you make the mistake of taking your car here make sure you have no valuables or they will steal them!! Thanks for nothing assholes!! read more

Because we were paying on our own and not through insurance, Luis was quite helpful in offering a couple of options on repairing our car instead of just forcing us to buy the one very expensive option. All of the employees here are absolutely amazing! They are so kind and truly want the best for you, and their kindness really does set them apart from so many people in Los Angeles. Barbara who handled my case was transparent and so helpful throughout the whole experience with my car. She made me feel like I was in great hands and she's just so sweet! Another employee Junior, took me to Enterprise car rental the day I showed up because Enterprise was going to take too long to come get me, even though there were tons of people and chaos everywhere. When I picked up my car they noticed a gas smell, Junior could've let me drive off not knowing but he completely fixed my car for me and stayed overtime to make sure the job was done right. In such a chaotic moment these people here at Caliber are so loving, friendly, and helpful. It brings a smile to my face knowing that I got to meet them and it's even more significant because it was such a stressful time in my life. My experience with Caliber Collision on Lincoln Blvd. in Santa Monica was simply horrific. It is never pleasant to take your car in for body repairs but you hope for a modest level of competence and honesty. Both are absent from Caliber. They will provide you with an estimate but are certain to up-charge you after your car has been dismantled, you've made plans for a loaner and then charge you to get your car back. If you make the same mistake as I did and go ahead with the repair anyway, you will get your car back with a mismatched color and obvious defects still apparent. They will of course apologize, tell you to bring the car back, they'll take care of it. You bring the car in, leave it for eight days (EIGHT DAYS!!!), you finally go to pick up your car only to find that it has not been touched in the entire period, all the flaws still there and they only shrug their shoulders but take no responsibility. If this sounds like the kind of experience you're looking for, go ahead take your car to be repaired with them but expect incompetence and dishonesty . If you're looking for just some common decency and adequate workmanship there are plenty of other repair shops in town. Go there instead. read more
