We were recommended by Geico to have our car repainted her after wind damage. A year of fighting them to have it repainted due to poor workmanship and/or faulty paint we have no resolution. We have been forced to drive the car there to show the faulty paint 3 times. Two times they said it was normal... finally the third time they agreed the paint job was crap. Our gas money and time driving 40 min there and 40 min back. We finally get a time scheduled and are asked to push it back to save them money on a rental so we kindly do. We are told to bring it in the following week, we call to confirm before coming in today. "we don't have a rental for you, we would have to pay for a rental over the weekend when we aren't able to work on the car. Bring it in Monday." I work Monday... do they care? My girlfriend came in on the 19th of May to get a quote for the insurance company. It was a Saturday and the employee said that the person who does the quote was not in the shop but he would take pictures for them, and we would get a call the following week. Well that week came and went, nothing! Called the insurance company who called the shop and they told USAA that they had an estimate and it would be sent in the next day or so. We wait a week call back, and the shop says we never came in, so an estimate was never sent over. This is now the 14th of june and the shop told USAA they were missing pictures of the VIN and the miles on the car. They had our contact info this whole time and never once called us or or tried to make any attempt to contact us in any way. If you are just going to pay them to fix your vehicle, then cool. If they need to work with your insurance I would HIGHLY ADVISE to stay away from them!!! We are currently sending the pictures they need in, I will update with more later! Update: after we sent in more pictures, and had to go down to show we actually owned the car, they finally shipped the quote out. I'm furious. They did not fix my car, denying that some damage was not related to the accident. The hood was not popping open after the accident, so I was showing him and he pulled out, with his hands, where the dent effected the top of the hood, just enough to keep it from popping. After he pulled it out with his hands we, were able to get the hood open, still with some difficulty. I assumed he realized and it was agreed upon that it was related (assumed bad on me). They are saying it when I picked it up, that it is not working because one of the cables is broken. Well, yes, it broke, when I tried to pop the hood and there was no give, related to it being jammed by the dent, hence the broken cable! Ugh. I'm a woman and not trained in auto, and I can figure it out. Or is it because I'm a woman that I am being dismissed? And he took the pics after he pulled the dent away from my hood. Great. Not only did they not fix what was caused by the accident, they managed to break my seat, which I requested not to be moved. He said he would "put a note on it". A lot of good that did. When I saw my car the seat was totally moved, back all the way in the sleeping position (did they take a nap?) and when I got in, as I feared, the track that clicks my seat into position was broken, which was a delicate situation to begin with, hence the request for them not to move my seat! (they really man handled my car, which is what I was afraid of with my seat). They pulled up on the emergency break so hard I had to ask for help for it to be released, in order to leave. It's a flat surface. Why the emergency break and jam the heck out of it, really? And I am too trusting because I paid my deductible before checking the hood and seat, so we'll see if they take responsibility for this mess. read more

CALIBER COLLISION DOESNT HAVE OVERNIGHT SURVEILLANCE.My grandson had already be waiting for parts for 2 1/2 months then his car was broken into. Not only did his car sustain additional damage but the parts ordered were placed in his car and were stolen. I understand the delay in parts being shipped because of COVID. There is no excuse for additional damage sustained to vehicle due to Caliber Collision's negligence in acquiring 24 hour surveillance. Apparently, per Brandon this is an ongoing issue. He blamed the police department. The fault lies on Caliber Collision. This is a liability in and of itself. Brandon called my grandson early November to relay the incident and told him his vehicle wouldn't be ready. Brandon offered a car rental but insurance wouldn't pay for another rental. Caliber Collision should have paid one for him. Grandson received another phone call after Christmas to state that his vehicle wouldn't be ready until the end of January or possibly February. I went to Caliber Collision on January 4,2022, to inquire about the delay. Brandon got on the phone with Hyundai to inquire about the last part needed which was a grille for the vehicle in question. He placed the phone call on speaker all the while talking down about Hyundai and that he would never purchase a vehicle from them. He would rather do business with Toyota. Just then the Parts and Service Rep. answers the phone to let Brandon know the the part was received at Caliber Collison on December30, 2021. Upon hearing this it was clear Brandon wasn't doing his job because if he looked at received invoices for parts on a daily basis he wouldn't have had to call Hyundai in the first place. There is no excuse for such negligence. I conveyed to him the vehicle needs to ready by Friday. He agreed and stated that he would even drive it to my grandson's home himself. Needless, to say vehicle wasn't ready. Grandson was given a call on Tuesday, January 11,2022 to come pick up his vehicle.. Brandon is clearly inept at his job as well as customer service. read more

My car was hit on an out of town trip. Of course, no note from person who hit my car. So this repair was out of pocket. I am from another state(Minnesota) and knew nothing about Caliber. The 1st thing that impressed was that I could get an estimate on a Saturday. They were very, very professional kept me informed on my status of the car the whole time. Every time I talked to my service advisor, Jessica I got world class treatment. The car was finished on time as promised and looked like it came off the dealer showroom floor. Great experience here. I brought in my car with some of the plastic part of the front bumper lifted out (I backed over something that pulled it out). I'll be leaving town soon, and I didn't think they'd have time to get the part and install it. I explained all this to the estimator at the shop. He told me they could put it back in place and send me on my way. Ten minutes later it was done. No charge, big smile on the estimator's face. The only reason I went with caliber collision is because the insurance adjuster made me feel good about this place. Through geico they make it seem like caliber is the right choice. But it's not. I had to constantly call to get updates. When my car was returned it was clear that they didn't test the new, used parts. I had to return my car so they could fix simple things like the function of being able to open and close my window. That was just the first time I had to take it back. I took it back two more times.. quite frankly the, life time warranty on parts or whatever was fixed doesn't mean shet if you have to keep calling and taking it in.....I was in another fender bender and chose to go with the a dealership collision center and the difference was astronomical. They actually called every day to give me updates. And when I got the car back it was all brand new parts and it was as if nothing ever happened. At this point I'm considering taking my car to the dealership collision center and paying to get my car fixed so I don't have to deal with this anymore. If you are not paying out of pocket please do yourself a favor and go to any dealership collision center where they are not trying to save money and will give you quality parts and quality service. Also, In response to "reach out to us so that we can make it right." That copy and paste response we see all the time. I did complain and they apologized and fixed whatever needed to be fixed but a year later it needs to be addressed again.... no thanks. read more

Each step of the repair process, I was kept informed daily by Patrick. Every morning!!! That has never happened in all the car repairs we've had at other auto body shops!! The work was done quickly and efficiently. Every person at Caliber that we had the pleasure of dealing/speaking with, was professional, friendly and compassionate. I hope the situation never arises that we have to use them again, but Caliber will be the place we take our car to if need be. I don't recommend places unless I am confident of my opinion. So last month I bought a brand new shiny VW Beetle long story short somebody backed into me and blamed it on me......so they brought my car here for the repair. From the moment I walked in the door I was treated like I was the only person in the room everybody was so friendly and treated me with such respect and my car looked amazing just like she did before the mishap. When I can out to look at her (my Beetle) this very nice man walked out shook my hand introduced himself (Patrick) and did everything he could to make sure I was happy. This is probably the best run business I have ever experienced seriously ever!!!! From Debbie who greeted me with a great smile and awesome customer service to the great guy Ernesto hooked me up with a refund on my deductible within an hour!!!!!!! If I could give no stars I would. This place is a joke. I took my car in due to an accident and I choose this place because it was what the insurance company recommended. When the work was finished I was happy, but looks can be deceiving. I took my car in to get appraised to sell and they asked me if my car had been in an accident because there was structural damage done to the vehicle. Sure enough the body where my spare tire is located was smashed in. Like I said before looks can be deceiving and they definitely were. Caliber collision just made it look like the repairs were complete, but in all reality they were not. It was nearly impossible to have a manager contact me back to see when I can return for the obvious repairs they had missed. To top this all off the manager even said that the additional damage could have been caused by some one backing up to me in a parking lot and that he wasn't fixing it because they missed it but he is fixing it from the goodness of his heart. Sounds like BS to me. This story makes no sense to me because if there as another accident and they did that much damage to the structure than how is it that my bumper was perfectly fine. I am still currently arguing and fighting to get correct paper work for the additional fixes. I can't speak for all the caliber collisions but DO NOT Get work done at this location. read more

I came to Caliber after a small dent was put in my car due to someone opening their door into my car. This collision center was recommended by the insurance company and was said to have great reviews. I made an appointment and got my car fixed. The day I picked it up, I noticed there was a small bubble-like thing on the panel they were fixing. I brought it up to Steve and he said that there must have been gas or small particles under the clear coat that caused it to burst. He said it was their fault and they would call me to have it fixed. When I got home I did a walk around my car and noticed damage that was not previously on my car. There were scratches on the bottom of the back right door, a chip and dent on the left back door, a broken lining on my fender, etc. I went back to Caliber Collision to talk to Luis (the Geico representative) to show the damage. When I had originally gone to caliber, the did a walk around my car and marked all the prior damage on a paper. All the damage that I noticed after I picked up my car was not recorded on that paper. Luis and Steve talked for a while and looked at the damage. Luis said that the insurance would cover fixing the original work that caliber had to do. Steve rudely said that they would see if they could fix the damage that they did only if we let them do the work. I obviously did not want them to work on my car and said no. Steve was very rude (along with the other workers at Caliber Collision) and continued to say how their work was good. Luis was the only worker who was kind, understanding, and made sure that we were happy. We found another repair shop to fix what Caliber ruined from the original damage and are working to fight Caliber Collision to get them to take responsibility for ruining my car. I left Caliber Collision with more damage on my car than it originally had when I brought it in. DO NOT GO TO CALIBER COLLISION!!! read more

Terrible, terrible experience. My vehicle was damaged by hail early in the summer. My insurance company conducted my inspection at Caliber and I decided for convenience to have the repairs conducted there as well. I was instructed by Patrick to being my vehicle in about a week after inspection, and there would be a rental car waiting. Drop off and getting into the rental went smoothly. Patrick told me he would get back to me the next day regarding how long the repairs should take after he inspected the vehicle. I waited two days without hearing from Patrick before I called Caliber to see what was going on, only to be informed Patrick was on vacation and would not be calling me. I was forwarded to the center manager, Rick, who seemed extremely unprepared and unaware of what was going on. Rick informed me the "hail service team" had to "leave and go to another center" so my car couldn't be touched for two weeks. Rick also informed me I needed to return my rental and pick up my damaged vehicle. I left work early (for the second time in a week) to do that. Upon getting into vehicle, I noticed a large, black grease stain on the driver's seat (my vehicle has light gray cloth seats) which was cleaned per my request to Rick. At that point, I decided I was fed up with Caliber and would be utilizing a completely different shop for repairs. The second shop was unable to get me in for about two weeks, so I waited for an appointment. One day after dropping off my vehicle at the second repair shop, I was called by the agent handling my service at the second repair shop, stunned, stating the car was fixed. Caliber had supposedly "worked day and night" to fix the car, completely unknown to me, the agent, the manager and my insurance adjustor. The manager states the "repair team" didn't communicate to him that they fixed the car. Unbelievable. After all is said and done, my car is fixed, almost a month after I initially brought to Caliber. The unprofessionalism and lack of communication from the staff at Caliber is astounding. I have also noticed one of the taillights is cracked and the sunroof rattles when open; I cannot ascertain that Caliber is responsible, but I wouldn't be surprised. I am in the customer service industry and I would be appalled if the corporation I worked for provided such terrible customer service. I have reached out to Caliber's corporate office to speak with someone above the manager, but have not heard back. I would not recommend Caliber Collision to anyone. read more
