    20% Guac 80% lettuce. Scam
    Matt L.

$120 take out meal. Get home and no tortillas for the $25 fajitas. Called to ask for a modest discount because it's too far to drive back. $1 offered. They fake giving you guacamole by padding the bottom of the container with lettuce. Almost forgot to give us chips we ordered (we didn't catch the tortillas at the counter). Avoid this place.

    Ceviche Mixto

Just had the best ceviche ever! I have eaten ceviche all around Central America and the Caribbean, and Ceviche Mixto was on point. Wonderful Leche de Tigre, with just enough of a bit to keep things interesting. Seafood was fresh and prepared expertly. The guacamole was excellent. Freshly made with big chunks of avocado. Roxanne's service was wonderful.

Salsa, guacamole and chips. So good.

Always delicious. Cheese sauce with Mexican sausage. Chicken quesadillas, hot with fresh veggies and guacamole. Friendly and helpful staff.

    Pupusas Platter Pick 2
    Lynn C.

Stopped in for lunch based on good reviews and craving for pupusas. I ordered the two pupusa platter, got the rueveltas with plantains as my side. The food took awhile (like a good 25 min), but when it arrived, it was hot and absolutely delicious!! I filled up on chips and salsa so only ate one there and brought the other one home. The quality of the food was definitely worth the wait.

I went for a friends birthday and we were easily seated outside for a party of 8. You get complimentary chips and salsa and the food was amazing! I did have to wait a while for the Mangonada but once I got it it was AMAZING! It was so fresh and by far my favorite mangonada I've tried! The enchiladas were also very good and the beans. I'm not a big rice person but the rice was pretty good as well. I can't wait to go back for another mangonada!!!

Caliente grill is amazing! The food is delicious but my favorite part has to be the wait staff. They are so nice and attentive and come off as genuinely enjoying their job. The vibes and atmosphere of Caliente Grill are what make it a must have. If you go, try out their churros. They are absolutely amazing!

Empty although super slow, got shrimp tacos - the only thing that tasted ok on that plate were the rice and beans.

Food was fine - nothing special. The irritating thing was that we were charged 16.99 for a side of guacamole and chips -- really???

It was still good because it almost tasted like a tortilla filled with pink pasta sauce but I knew it wasn't the real deal. The bean and cheese one was good. For 2 pupusas it was a little under $5 and came with the pickled cabbage and tomato sauce. Two was filling but I maybe could have gone for 3. The staff was very kind. They do have a variety of items on their menu. Do not be confused by the outside like I was. It does appear to be just a liquor store on the outside but the deli is located at the back of the store, if you keep walking to the back when you enter.

This place is located in a convenience store, so when you're approaching the address, it's not very obvious that this place is located inside due to the lack of signage. This place has limited hours and I believe they open early for breakfast and close at 4:00 p.m. I originally wanted to call in my order, but didn't see a decent menu online and/or prices, so I made my way there. I got there maybe about 20 minutes before they closed as I saw the chairs up on top of the tables in their seating area. I immediately just ordered the carne asada tacos, the pork pupusas and the cheese pupusa. I took it to go, brought it inside my car and because I didn't eat lunch and it was almost dinner time, I literally picked up the cheese pupusa and ate it in my car. It was piping hot and delicious. I didn't even put the little salad / hot sauce on top as I was really hungry. Overall it was really good. Of course, I moved on to the taco and thought it was kinda small, but thought to myself I should have ordered one more. I think it was comparable to the price that I paid, but for someone that was hungry I knew that maybe four wouldn't not be enough but thankfully the pupusas filled me up. I didn't finish my food completely as I drove home because I wanted to really sit down and try the food. My overall feedback on the tacos is to probably ask them to make my tacos medium rare if at all possible. Secondly, I would probably order at least five and maybe four pupusas. I think that would satisfy my craving and I would be full. I love supporting small businesses so if you are in the area, please stop by and try out this place.

We started with chips and salsa, and they were excellent. The salsa wasn't overly spicy, just full of great flavor, and the chips were fresh and crisp--definitely a strong start to the meal. My wife ordered the chicken chimichanga. It was quite different from what we usually get at the Mexican spots we frequent--it was one large chimichanga served with a small salad, whereas we're used to getting two smaller ones with rice and beans, which we usually share. Still, it was tasty and satisfying in its own unique way. I ordered the Chicharrón en Salsa Verde--crispy pork and onions in a green tomato sauce, topped with cilantro and served with rice and warm flour tortillas. It had great flavor and the pork had a nice texture--crisp but not dry. Our friends ordered a variety of dishes, including: Chile en Nogada - a stuffed poblano pepper with seasoned ground beef, covered in a chilled almond and walnut nogada sauce, topped with pomegranate seeds and served with rice. It was rich, colorful, and very flavorful. A beautiful dish with red and yellow sauces and a white cream swirl--unfortunately I can't recall the name, but it was as good as it looked. Six tacos with assorted meats--each one was fantastic. The flavors were bold and fresh. To drink, most of us had margaritas, and you could tell they use fresh ingredients--these were excellent and not overly sweet like some places serve them. Service was top-notch from start to finish--friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The only disappointing part of the evening came at the end, when we learned that the restaurant will be closing in about a month. The building is being torn down, possibly for high-rise condos. The staff doesn't know if or where they'll reopen. It's a real shame, especially in an area that's already struggling with traffic and congestion. More homes, fewer gems like this. I just wish we had discovered Sin Fronteras Café sooner. Hopefully they find a new home nearby, and we'll definitely try to come back before they close for good.

I eat a lot of Mexican food and this is easily the best I've tasted for Miles around. Birria enchiladas were off the hook. And the salsa there is fantastic! Just a couple more notes about pricing though, because I think it's worthwhile to mention: there is no lunch menu. Most Mexican joints have a lunch menu, with smaller sizes and lower prices. not here. The portions are very generous so be prepared to get a dinner menu and to-go box. And I ordered a draft Mexican beer and got a 24 ounce glass for nine dollars. I think this is another attempt to raise your check. Most places will give you the option of a 16 or 24 ounce. Yes these are nitpicks, but I'm not complaining because the food is so freaking good.

The street tacos are the real deal: fresh tortillas, generous portions, and the kind of flavor that makes you order a second round before you've finished the first. The al pastor is spot on and the salsa actually has some heat to it, which I respect. Chips hit the table fast, service was friendly without being over the top, and the margaritas don't disappoint either. If you're in the Annapolis area and want solid, authentic Mexican food without a lot of fuss, this place earns a permanent spot in the rotation.
