I came here with a friend before we went to church and I spent about $47 for both of us. She got the Chinese chicken salad, and I got kind of an à la cart ordeal. The half chicken, plain pasta, fried noodles, side of Greek goddess dressing, and a side of fresh fruit. I also got the wheat pita on the side. I made a little wrap and stuff that wheat pita with all of my side items. It was so delicious. Peter greeted us at the counter is so nice. He is professional, and he was making us laugh while taking our order.. He checked on us when we sat ourselves and soda on the chocolate chip coconut cookies! A few days ago I ordered a particular wrap. Upon going home with an eager appetite I opened the wrap. To my dismay it was not what I ordered. Today I returned to this location to place a new order. New day, new order! While placing my order I happened to mention the mistake regarding the wrap I had ordered on the preceding Saturday. I really enjoy this branch. The staff at the front handle any drive-by pickup orders or take your order up front at the register. Lots of busy traffic during lunch with many orders bagged up on the side but the staff organize the whole thing really well! The kitchen staff is also very efficient because my food was ready really quickly. The parking lot can be a bit dangerous since it's a one-way and I've seen cars speed through going the wrong way. The correct way to enter through here is really turning right into the driveway that is past the building you're going down Topanga Canyon blvd. Anyways, the interior of this spot is always clean and there's plenty of tables and chairs to sit at and eat. The waiting area too is very wide with plenty of cushioned seating. I love how healthy the food is at CCC and the dressing for the caesar salad is really good. Even if you order for dine-in, the food is packaged for if you have to go. Which is very handy and I see several firefighters or policeman stop by here for lunch! The prices are also very reasonable and it doesn't break the wallet to eat healthy and have a filling meal here. I always have a good experience here! read more

CCC is one on my favorite stops when I am in the neighborhood (unfortunately I don't have one close to my house). This is a drive thru pick up only location. My personal favs are their rotisserie chicken (love they have an option to request the whole chicken "moist" and with the "back out"), California Chicken Salad, Caesar Wrap, Melrose Wrap, Broccoli Pasta Salad and Chicken Pasta Salad. I order online and they generally have it ready within about 20 minutes. Pick up service via the drive thru is super easy and fast. Orders have always been accurate. The food is really good! They have a variety of dipping sauces you can add to your order. Each one I've tried is tasty. The salads are enough to feed two or three people easily. The balsamic dressing is one of my overall favorites. Everything is packaged very well and portion sizes are generous. On top of the food being absolutely delicious the prices are very reasonable. All in all it's a win-win. read more

We ordered our favorites: Dark Meat Special 4 legs & 5 thighs (comes cut up) limit 1 per order So juicy, tender and delicious!! I would have liked crispy skin though. For dark meat lovers like me, I love that they have this option! One whole chicken (comes cut up) for yummy leftovers! Broccoli Pasta Salad, which comes in different sizes. I ordered Calif Chicken Cafe for the first time today through DoorDash. The food was delivered within the promised time frame. I was skeptical of an $18 salad, but once I received it, I was impressed at the size of the salad and how loaded it was with ingredients. The chicken was shredded and seemed high-quality. I love that it came with a half of an avocado. All of the ingredients were fresh and were delicious combined together. I also loved their chipotle dressing and ranch dressing. I placed a pick-up order online, just how it is instructed to do so. Upon order completion, I received an error message SPECIFICALLY INDICATING that I'd call the location. I also noticed that my credit card was charged. When I called the location I spoke to Richard. I explained to him of my attempt to place an online order, and the charge on my card. He communicated that the order did not go through, and that I will receive a refund. Since I was already on the phone with him, I asked if I could place an order over the phone then- instead of accommodating my request- he believed it'd be best to inconvenience me once more and proceed to tell me that over the phone orders are not accepted. I decided to go down to the location, and place my order in person. I was attended by a young lady (her name was either Yessica or Yessenia). I asked her if there was a corporate customer service phone number I could call and voice my issues. Once again, instead of accommodating a paying customer's request- the 10-15 minutes I waited for my food, I watched her make zero attempts to obtain the information I had asked her for. * Issue number 1. Being charged for an order that did not go through. * Issue number 2. Asking me (the customer) to call the location, when the location was not going to be helpful. * Issue number 3. After explaining the issue to an employee; the employee suggested a further inconvenience instead of a solution. Issue number 4. Asking a different employee for help, and never receiving it. read more

Love California Chicken Cafe! I should preface my review by saying that I only leave Yelp reviews if I really loved, or really hated somewhere (be it a restaurant/bar/store/hotel/whatever). Luckily California Chicken Cafe is somewhere that I love!! I've been eating at California Chicken Cafe for about 30 years, starting with the Santa Monica location, then the Venice location once that opened around 2013, and now the valley locations since I moved to the west valley about 12 years ago. My home location is this one, on Nordhoff & Topanga, but is still about 15 minutes from my house. This review isn't going to be about the food, because as we all know, CCC has the absolute best rotisserie in Los Angeles, with killer sides, great soups & of course amazing salads! This review is specifically about a fantastic customer service experience I recently had at this location. My wife and I order take-out from CCC about once a month. 9 times out of 10, the order is correct and if I have time, I'll check it in my truck, before I leave the parking lot. This particular night a couple weeks ago, I put in an online order about 20 minutes before they closed. 2 full salads, with a side of the chicken pasta. I was in a rush, so i picked it up without checking to see if it was correct, and went home. When I got home, had to do a few things, feed the dogs & cats, etc. When my wife and I finally got eveyrthing done and sat down to eat, we found that both salads had issues with incorrect dressing + a missing ingredient on one of the salads. I called the store, and spoke to someone named Alex (I think.) He said it wasn't a problem, and to just come back the following evening with my receipt and he would redo the salads. Went back the next evening around 8pm, and went I went in and asked to talk to Alex, someone said he had left just a little while prior. i asked to talk to a manager, and a tall, skinny fairly young guy (maybe mid-late 20's?) came over...Latino I think, dark hair, black shirt. I really wish I remembered his name, because he was AMAZING! Super friendly, super nice, really really helpful. Just seemed like a happy guy, and a shining beacon of positive customer service! I explained what happened & gave him my receipt, have expecting him to only remake the salads. Instead, he remade THE WHOLE ORDER, and even threw in a couple extra sides since it was almost the end of the night. And I can't stress again how nice it was to talk to this dude! Didn't argue, didn't make excuses, just took my receipt, checked the order & redid the whole thing. Whoever this guy is, he's seriously a great representative of CCC, so shout out to him, and also to Alex, who was a peasure to speak with, the previous night over the phone. Yet another (one of many!) reason my wife and I and friends will continue to patronize CCC for a long time! read more

This place is CLLEEEEAAAANNN.... Staff is super helpful, patient, and friendly. It seems this location doesn't really have too many people that dine in, but that's your game if you'd like to eat on location! The staff seems very busy doing pick up orders, but never too busy to come over and answer. Any questions you have, provide customer service, and check in on you. I'm not much into telling people, whether or not the food was amazing, because that's a subjective opinion, but for those of you who frequent multiple California chicken cafés, this is definitely one of the good ones.
