I happened to be in the area a few days ago and wanted to try this WaBa Grill location after I tried their Tarzana location last month. Walked in a little after 4:30pm and ordered at the front. Got me a Chicken and Steak Teriyaki Bowl with fully loaded veggies and extra protein on the side. Also got a drink. It was a great portion for the price. Fabiola helped and she was very pleasant, kind and helpful. I enjoyed my food very much and will definitely come back again. They have a lot of to-go orders and 3rd party. Good menu options to choose from. Restaurant was very clean, with nice music playing overhead and parking was shared with several other businesses. It's a big and crowded shopping plaza. Food is very healthy, fresh and clean. They have gender neutral restrooms and also other locations around LA. Thank you all very much. read more

As a CSUN Student, WaBa is such a great restaurant to go to if you want some quick food. My go to order is the Dumplings and Thai Tea. I honestly could eat 20 dumplings alone because they are so good. The dumplings do have pork. I wish they offered other options that do not contain pork to cater towards other diets but nonetheless everything here is yummy! The Thai Tea here is good but I will say it is superrr sweet. If you are not a fan of that, I don't think you would like it. Will definitely come back and enjoy more of their dumplings! read more

Got a steak bowl for like $13 dollars to go. When I got home, I opened my bag to eat it, and to my surprise they barely put any food on it. It was like if they decided to charge more and give less. Hardly any rice, meat and veggies. I stood my fork inside the bowl and you can see how petty and stingy they were at filling the bowl properly. Last time I come here. I asked several questions about the menu, and they repeatedly ignored me without providing any answers. To make matters worse, the food we received didn't even match what we ordered. It been a while since I came to this Waba Grill location but since I was across the street grabbing dinner with my friends and my wife was craving her Salmon bowl, I stopped by here to get it for her. The plaza this place is in has more parking now because the main attraction store closed. I place the Salmon Veggie bowl off the app so I can just pick it up. I arrived early so I had to wait for them to finish making the food. They were a little busy inside but there was still some seats. They have a kiosk where you can order your food now as well so you don't have to wait for an employee to help you. The customer service was great when I was there. My wife enjoyed her Salmon bowl, she just wish the portion size of the Salmon was bigger but it seems like Waba Grill are giving smaller portions now. read more

This is my third time eating at waba grill (each time was this location). The employees at this location always provide friendly and helpful service. Usually my order is always correct and comes out fast and fresh. Today in particular, I did ask for green onions, but they forgot to add green onions to my order (I even asked for extra and he repeated back my order). It's ok, mistakes happen. I still enjoyed my meal. This establishment is always neat and clean. There's plenty of parking (huge shopping center parking lot). read more

The $17 salmon meal was very disappointing. The salmon tasted very processed and dried. It didn't even look like it came from a fish. I only also got a couple of pieces of lettuce which was supposed to be the salad thing with it. read more

Not sure why I haven't tried this place sooner but it is SUUUUUPER delicious!! My bf and my mom got the chicken rice bowls with veggies and I had the steak and rice with salad. First off, the salad dressing is sooooo good. Not sure what kind of dressing it is, very citrusy and good like the ones you get at KBBQ places? The meat was chopped up perfectly like Hawaiian bbq beef and the rice cooked to perfection as well. I wish I ordered extra salad because it paired so perfectly with the steak! My mom ordered take out and brought it home so I can't describe the service or ambiance but the quality of the food is 5 stars in my book! Looking forward to eating here more often! I went to this location on Saturday with my husband and had such a great experience with a worker named Alex and the business itself. It's not common to get good/hospitable service nowadays in food service establishments but coming here was really nice to see that there is hope. Alex (I hope that's his name) was very helpful, greeted with such a positive attitude, and gave eye contact when talking to people. That threw me and my husband off because we are not use to seeing this type of service anymore. It was soooo nice to see. That is so uncommon in today's day that I had to write to review LOL. If you want to be Ignored by the counter people go to Waba on Nordoff . First time customer and was struggling with self ordering machine . Asked for help was ignored. Went back to try self ordering machine again and screen locked up. Asked for help again, ignored again. Went back to start over on machine. Counter person took order but reluctantly (and when I got home the order was wrong). The food was good but ordering was horrible. Great customer service. Very clean. Good veggies and rice. Great sauces too. BUT the steak wasn't what was expected for this type of meal. If it were a side of finely chopped up beef jerky, boy would it be good. Like the more soft tender chopped up clusters found at the bottom of a bag of teriyaki strips...BUT this wasn't a bag of long lasting protein for a long car trip. Maybe it was a bad day. I ordered via Uber Eats a family-sized chicken with a half brown and white rice, plus veggies, no sauce, for $25.60. They delivered a one-person size bowl. With sauce. I called immediately upon delivery but first got some 'Justin' who kept arguing that my order was for a bowl so they delivered a bowl. While charging $25.60 for that chicken bowl... The owner soon reached out to me to explain that the Uber driver picked up the wrong bag and very kindly offered to prepare at no cost the real family-sized chicken, which I picked up today. It was excellent, as always at WaBa. And the additional dumplings he offered were a fest for the kids. Thank you, Panos, for fixing the issue quickly and efficiently. This location is super clean and the staff is very friendly. I placed a pickup order on Uber eats and it was ready for pickup in less then 15 mins. I ordered the chicken and steak veggie bowl. It was delicious. The veggies were yummy and not sad looking like I've seen at other locations. I would recommend getting the white meat chicken just cause I always run into weird pieces when I don't. I also highly recommend trying the garlic serrano sauce.. it's so good on the meat. read more

I finally tried this place bc it was next door to the Fishbowl Poke I've been going to for the past couple years - it's not bad! Pretty tasty and fresh - and their family deals are pretty great - awesome price and generously feeds 4 with choice of meat, rice, steamed veggies, pork dumplings and 4 bottled drinks of your choice (except Naked Juice) including Monster drinks, Gatorade, fruit juices and Pure Leaf teas. This place was OKAY overall. My 3 star rating is due to the quality of the food only. I went during my lunch break which happened to be right before the lunch hour rush. The staff was super friendly and attentive. The service was excellent. Parking was easy. The place was very clean. I got the chicken and steak bowl with brown rice. The steak good but a lot of it was just fat. I was looking for more meat. The chicken was delicious! If I ever were to go back, I would skip the steak entirely. The three stars was based on how disappointed I was at the meat to rice ratio especially since I ordered the combo and asked for extra meat. It's like 1/4 meat and 3/4 rice.
