Ham banh mi that was chicken by mistake
    Heather S.

Got take out the other night and it was ok. Quality is still consistent through the years. Pizza doesn't tend to stay warm during travel, so you have to reheat when you get home. Had a cacio e Pepe pizza to split. Thai crunch salad is the best on the menu. Was excited that there were new menu items to select from and ordered the ham banh mi, because i had never seen that before. Bread was pretty good. Had decent spice level and fresh veggies, but unfortunately chicken was substituted for ham without notice. So not still not sure how ham would taste in a banh mi!

What stands out here is the great service! They are so friendly and hard-working here. You really can't beat their lunch. Special, I love the soup and salad combo! Food is always ready within minutes, it is never a very busy at this location. They also validate parking. Great option if you're looking for an affordable meal, great for kids as well!

I swung by one day and parked on the street. I like coming to this village and wanted to end Winter Break with a bang. I enjoyed the bread and wanted a complete pizza, which is why I chose the Works. This masterpiece contained rustic pepperoni, red onions, olives, wild Greek oregano, green peppers, Mozzarella, Cremini mushrooms, and Spicy Italian sausage. It was a mixture of the best toppings and I was completely satisfied with this feast that I ended up enjoying throughout the week during the first week of classes!

Fantastic service! Our waitress was super on top of everything. Food was delicious, restaurant ambiance was clean and servers were friendly. They validate parking as well. Will absolutely be back.

5 stars for sure. Came on a Tuesday around 7pm...the place was chill, not busy. It's on the upper level with a nice curved layout and natural light coming in, which felt really good. Got the complimentary bread to start. We had the cauliflower buffalo, BBQ chicken pizza, and salmon plate. Cauliflower hit the spot, especially dunked in bleu cheese and ranch. Pizza was tasty as always. Salmon was fresh, just could use a little more seasoning or sauce. Service was top notch...friendly and on point. Definitely coming back.

This place must be near death. Arrive on Saturday at 7:45 PM. Ask for a table for 4. 15-20 minute wait, I am told. Not because the place is full...it's half empty. The reason. They have one waiter. So I ask if I can order a beer while we wait. I'm told no. What!? Yeah...no bartender either. WTF? How does a restaurant stay in business if you literally refuse to pour a beer for a thirsty customer. I don't think I've ever been so disappointed in a restaurant. And I'm a loyal CPK customer. Been coming here for years. My kids love it. But the private equity purchase is a disaster. Probably the last time I'll ever take the family to CPK...sad. Just no longer viable.

Meeting friends for dinner and conversation. Saturday night at 6 PM - but no problem getting a table with no reservation. Parking in the garage is free with validation - nice touch. We started with white corn guac and chips ($9) as a shared appetizer. Probably the best guac I have had in any restaurant including some high end Mexican restaurants. Only gripe is there are pieces of jalapeño that can make it a bit hot for the Gringo palate. Next we shared the Margarita pizza ($17). Usually I am not a fan of thin crust pizza but this was quite good. For my entree I ordered a half BBQ chopped chicken salad ($15). Even the half salad is huge and too big for me to finish. Really good. We had a table next to the picture window overlooking Ventura Blvd. Lovely. Good food, good service, lovely ambiance and free parking. Not fancy but great value.

Came on a Sunday. The biggest negative were all the kids. There were about six different tables of families with 5 year old children. Come on parents, don't let your kids scream and run around. The people I came with said its always like that on the weekends. They said its better to come during the week. Other than that, everything was good. Atmosphere was great with the big windows. We all liked everything we got. You park in parking garage which is $2 per hour. CPK validates for 1.5 hours.

Came here for lunch today. Got the best service ever from the manager Josie and Darvin, the waiter. I ordered the new tostada pizza and it was delicious as was the lunch special with half salad and half sandwich. Josie and Darvin, thank you for such wonderful service. This location is starting to become one of my favorites.

Hadn't been here for a long time The food is actually good and the appetizers are even better. But for some reason this place won't become a "The Spot". For one thing there area lots of kids. That said, the Martini that I had was fairly good. The Margarita that my wife had was very good. The space has a decent vibe , you can watch the traffic on Ventura Boulevard. All in all, we enjoy the place. I did order two piazzas to take to my son. Will I go there again, yes, I will.

With people coming from all directions, this CPK has become a fairly regular meeting place for me and my family. Today we were there to celebrate my mom's birthday. One of the things I love about CPK is the consistency from location to location. Once you've had a dish at one CPK, you can count on it tasting the same at other locations. Today I placed an order for one of my go-to lunches at CPK; the lunch duo with a 7-in wild mushroom pizza and a small Thai crunch salad. As always, both were delicious. For dessert we ordered a always delicious butter cake and a piece of key lime pie. If you haven't had the better cake at CPK, your seriously missing out. One thing that made today's visit stand out was the service. My mom had received an emailed coupon for a free dessert for her birthday. CPK requires your phone number to verify that you were the coupon recipient. She gave them her phone number but they couldn't find her account. So the waiter asked the manager to help out. Armed with my mom's email address and phone number, the manager was quickly able to determine that the phone number on my mom's account didn't match the number she had given her. With that knowledge, the problem was quickly resolved, my mom got her free birthday dessert, and she won't have a problem using CPK discounts like this again. If you're in the area, stop by this CPK. It's light, bright, and consistently good.

While in the area for a workout, I found myself famished and decided to stop here for a quick bite to take home with me. I ordered a bowl to go and it was made promptly although the order didn't end up being completely correct. I ordered a create your own bowl with some wild rice and kale, cucumbers, apples, chickpeas and sweet potatoes. I had also ordered the spicy cashew dressing and pesto vinaigrette but in place of the pesto vinaigrette I was given hot sauce. I double checked the order slip that was placed on the package and it was marked with both dressings, so I know the mistake wasn't on my end. Regardless, all of the veggies were very fresh and the dressing and hot sauce were very flavorful. Everything was portioned well and the meal was very hearty. It was also packaged in a way that made it easy to take with me to go. They have a lovely spacious outdoor patio that I would have loved to sit on, especially since it was a gorgeous day out. The inside and exterior of the restaurant was also very clean and tidy and bright. The service was friendly but it was busy when I came, so it felt like they were very rushed. Parking was very easy in their giant lot that they share with Amazon Fresh and a few other businesses.

The salads when we got them home were just about inedible. The actual "greens" were OK, I guess. But: -the dressings sucked...bad tastes and so sweet. -both of us bit into chicken pieces that had the crunchy cartilage part. This is BASIC for any restaurant serving chicken... no Crunchy Cartilage Parts! -the assembly line preparation looks like it could be kind of cool and efficient if all the elements were crazy good. Like Chipotle back in the day. But this looked like what it was... children dipping their ladles into not so great-looking bins of ingredients. (The kid serving us was actually quite nice and personable.) -I went and looked at the calories, fats, carbs, etc (online)( and was not impressed. Not how I want to use up that 755 calories for a salad. I predict this place will be gone within a few months of the new Whole Foods going into this complex. I'm so bummed... I just wanted a decent place to grab a decent salad that is walking distance from my house.

You order at the counter with a friendly host, then wait at your table for a runner to bring your food, which arrives pretty quickly. The crowd is a mix of young parents with kids, Hollywood types having script meetings, and all sorts of friends having a meal and catching up. It's lively and a bit loud, but you can also sit outside if that suits you more. My wife and I both ordered breakfast for lunch, with her opting for a pancake. Large, malty and nicely cooked, this was a good-looking and filling flapjack that could be improved with the addition of fresh butter and warm syrup (rather than the pre-prepped plastic ramekin of room temp syrup). I ordered the Hashtag: a skillet of Hash Browns topped with Bacon, Cheddar, Jalapeños and a pair of Over-Medium Eggs. The potatoes were nicely crisped in the skillet, with the bacon adding a smoky depth that paired well with the richness of the cheddar and the spice of the jalapeño. The very-properly-prepared eggs had yolks just gooey enough to become a sauce for the layered hash below, and making for a very appealing savory/spicy bite. I also appreciated the size of the portion, which was moderate rather than over-abundant; that keeps the price reasonable and allows the components of the dish to work together without anything becoming overwhelming. In the end, Claudine is a reliable place for a casual meal with friends; a place where you can relax and feel at home while away from home.
