I am a huge fan of Sweet Green restaurants for having a good variety of vegan options and being affordable priced. While in the area for a workout, I found myself famished and decided to stop here for a quick bite to take home with me. I ordered a bowl to go and it was made promptly although the order didn't end up being completely correct. I ordered a create your own bowl with some wild rice and kale, cucumbers, apples, chickpeas and sweet potatoes. I had also ordered the spicy cashew dressing and pesto vinaigrette but in place of the pesto vinaigrette I was given hot sauce. I double checked the order slip that was placed on the package and it was marked with both dressings, so I know the mistake wasn't on my end. Regardless, all of the veggies were very fresh and the dressing and hot sauce were very flavorful. Everything was portioned well and the meal was very hearty. It was also packaged in a way that made it easy to take with me to go. They have a lovely spacious outdoor patio that I would have loved to sit on, especially since it was a gorgeous day out. The inside and exterior of the restaurant was also very clean and tidy and bright. The service was friendly but it was busy when I came, so it felt like they were very rushed. Eww. I went to a Sweetgreen about five years ago and should have learned my lesson. But my wife had never been and I guess she needed to learn a lesson, too. The salads when we got them home were just about inedible. The actual "greens" were OK, I guess. But: -the dressings sucked...bad tastes and so sweet. -both of us bit into chicken pieces that had the crunchy cartilage part. This is BASIC for any restaurant serving chicken... no Crunchy Cartilage Parts! -the assembly line preparation looks like it could be kind of cool and efficient if all the elements were crazy good. Like Chipotle back in the day. But this looked like what it was... children dipping their ladles into not so great-looking bins of ingredients. (The kid serving us was actually quite nice and personable.) -I went and looked at the calories, fats, carbs, etc (online)( and was not impressed. Still doing great things in the Encino Marketplace shopping center on Ventura Blvd / Hayvenhurst Avenue near Amazon Fresh, Chase bank and across from the Gelson's just opposite from it on Ventura Blvd. Directly between See's Candies and CVS. I recently had some great delivery and finally savored their Ripple Fries! Team Hummus Crunch bowl forever, but the Shroomami is still next level - no longer comes with sunflower seeds - thankfully for me lol...But really comes through with flavor and those portions. Healthy eats meets comfort flavors. It's easy to enjoy all things SG at this Encino fav. Don't leave anything on the counter after a Dr.'s appt because there is absolutely no way to get in touch with anyone; it's an AI robot that answers the phone and suggests you drive back to the location for a lost item. I don't understand how every time I order from this location, they are always missing one ingredient for whatever dish that I had ordered.

A few times I've been to this location, they were either out of tofu or out of those air-fried potatoes, or in yesterday's case, BOTH, which take close to 15 minutes to make. I don't have time for that, as it's not a restaurant where they serve you. One time I ordered to-go, and when I got home (5 minutes away), the potatoes were COLD and stale. Not edible even if I was desperate. I always walk into this location with slight fear, wondering if they'll have the tofu or potatoes ready. Do they run out of other protein options the same way they do with tofu, or is it only the tofu because not many people order it? As a vegan and someone who avoids seed oils, Sweet Green is literally the ONLY healthy option within an 8 mile radius, so it sucks when I come there and these things happen. I'm sorry if I sound like a "Karen", but this has happened to me more than 50% of the time I go here, so I wanted to give an honest opinion in the hopes that management will be more on top of it. Sweetgreen was the first place that came to mind, as i've tried their salads previously and love them. Ordered via Yelp app (GrubHub) for pick up, I chose the Crispy Rice bowl, which comes with: blackened chicken, shredded cabbage, cucumbers, cilantro, toasted almonds, crispy rice, warm wild rice, arugula, fresh lime and a spicy cashew dressing $16.50. Ordering online gives one choices to easily add additional items or subtract one of the listed items ...and I love options. Restaurant is located in a moderately busy strip mall at dinner time. I found parking and my order was ready when I arrived. Service was direct and I didn't ask additional questions and the young man didn't try to up-sell me on dessert or other items (so glad). I just picked up my odder and left. Just wish for a $16+ (with tip) salad, the container could be filled a bit more generously. read more

I heard a lot about Sweet Greens as I have gone to Tender greens many times. So I finally gave it a try since Sweet Greens is on Doordash and Tender Greens was not. I ordered the Kale Caesar and a side of Salmon. I added sweet potato as a topping which is extra. I loved the Parmesan crisps in this salad! Never had that before, what a delicious touch and they add a half of lime in there which is scrumptious. The piece of salmon was very small/skinny and a little under seasoned. This was my first time ordering from this specific location. I usually order from the studio city location, which has been excellent. I ordered my favorite the miso glaze salmon. I was beyond disappointed as firstly the avocado was missing from my plate. I was lucky that I had an extra avocado laying around my kitchen, so I was able to add that to the dish. Paying $18 for this bowl without avocado was upsetting, but what was more upsetting was I began to bite into it, realizing the pickled onions were not pickled at all, but m raw. If you've ever had a raw onion, you know it has quite a bite to it. It left my taste buds completely off to where I couldn't enjoy anything else in the bowl. All I can say was that this was a tremendously disappointing meal. I tried contacting that specific location so I could let them know about the raw unpickled onions for future customers, but there is no way to get in contact with anyone who's alive other than the automated service. Recently, I've been having the worst experiences. 2 weeks ago, ordered a bowl and kept getting hard pieces in each bite I took until I found a huge piece of a branch in my food! I would not recommend this business for the poor attitude of the employees. I was walking by the neighborhood and found this place, which I thought might be a healthy place to eat. At the time, I was the only person there around noon time for lunch. It was my first time, and I wasn't sure what to order. The ordering is kind of like Subway or Chipotle, where there's a lot of different vegetables and proteins and sauces in a bin, and they scoop whatever you want for your order. I got the chicken harvest bowl, and their only drink choices are in a bottle or cans. The chicken didn't really have any flavor. The sweet potatoes were a little soft and soggy. The purple cabbage coleslaw was mediocre. It came with herbed quinoa. It was nothing spectacular. At the risk of sounding like a Diva, I have to say the whole experience was very uncomfortable. The girl taking my order looked like she didn't want to be there working and kind of just seems annoyed that I was there asking questions about the menu. I usually start with a $10 base bowl and end up around $12-14. Other preselected options range from $12-$18, from what I've seen. Super quick to come in and pick your selections. There can be a wait / line during random and peak times. This place is quite a happening spot, as far as salads go. Located in the same lot as CVS, FedEx, Starbucks and Amazon Fresh (whenever they decide to open, LOL), there's plenty of parking and activity in this plaza. So happy this opened in my neighborhood so now I don't need to drive for miles in search of a decent salad. I like the place, the staff is friendly. However the prices are a bit misleading. If you recall want a nice filling salad, it will cost you quite a bit. Today I paid $38 fir two salads. We could have gone to CA Pizza kitchen and get more for the buck. But this place is close by and healthiest in this area. That said, I think the staff should wear a mask. As they talk to you and ask you heavy or light, etc. I am sure some of their saliva lands on your food. Loved my experience here. (Btw- This was my 3rd time having Sweetgreen). My prior visit was at another location and tbh the service wasn't great...but that's another story lol. Went in the evening, was helped by this super friendly and cool person, Asael. He hands down made our trip from Northridge worth it! Sweetgreen, if you are reading this, give this guy a raise! Something, anything! lol His service was exceptional and was just such a pleasant guy to talk to. My boyfriend and I really felt he went above and beyond and additionally, all the employees there were nice!
