    BURNT ENDS MAC 'N' CHEESE

CPK is a descent spot. I lean more towards their pizza their other dishes can be a little bland. But it's a solid meal. Their butter cake is delicious. Service is usually good pretty attentive wot staff but if they are busy it can be a bit hard to grab their attention. It is on the pricier side which is why I lean towards the pizza because you can get a side salad and share a pizza and leave full.

Lunch to dine-in takes a party of two to California Pizza Kitchen for a friend/neighbor's birthday 2025 to reciprocate as previously she took me to dinner for my birthday 2025, amid elsewhere. This is my first experience with California Pizza Kitchen whereas my friend/neighbor frequently patronize and amicably conversed with the staff. We immediately sat at the bar counter where the open kitchen is in direct view, unobstructed. I observed the cooks, chefs prepare pizzas and placing in the gas fire stone hearth ovens and other entrées. Price is reasonable and anticipated high for party of two which includes two (2) alcoholic drinks. This lunch is all for my friend/neighbor and the cost is nothing for me as I want to celebrate her birthday. Patronizing this American casual dining restaurant chain is the closest that I encounter traveling to California or taste Californian influenced cuisine or travel to West Coast. Customer service is attentive as we were check-in during our meal time. Our waitress is accommodating to take photos using our respective phones to raise our glasses for the occasion. Food quality is good. The drink menu is extensive for cocktails which is a nice cool down for a hot humid day. The menu is extensive and large as I took time to make a decision. This restaurant is large and was not busy for a Saturday afternoon. Yes, I can certainty keep the restaurant bill/ claim check. The air conditioning is fully functioning at high extreme artic blast that during our time I became cold. The menu constantly changes as entrées listed are remove for another food trend. The light fixture fend a dim lightly dining atmosphere. Outdoor seating is available, but I highly desire to be inside an air conditioning setting away from the sun. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. Happy Hour is available from Mondays to Fridays 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The restaurant claim check/ bill have the gratuity intervals of 18%, 20%, or 22% printed at the bottom without the need for mathematical calculation. My foodie analysis: Strawberry Rose Sangria $14.00 It was slightly sweet filling a large wine goblet with two slices of lemon. I wished I had ordered the traditional red Sangria, yes I have buyer's remorse again. I would return to California Pizza Kitchen again for the traditional red Sangria. Blueberry Lemon Drop $13.50 A refreshing Martini served chilled garnished with fresh blueberries and lemon. The glass fends a red color. The Martini glass was not rimmed with fresh lemon zest. Caesar salad with shrimp, full $22.74 The Caesar dressing was sufficient, but I should have requested additional dressing. The lettuce was fresh as well as the Parmesan shaved cheese which was abundant for quantity. The croutons were weird shape and tasted somewhat stale. I prefer lemon juice embedded on this particular salad. The shrimp was grilled with burnt marks, abundant for quantity but small size. I enjoy salads for healthy diet. This meal sustain my hunger pangs throughout the entire evening. I would never order any salad nor entrée with chickpeas as I despise chickpeas, not my cup of tea. I would return to California Pizza Kitchen again to try their Margherita pizza in crispy thin crust. No thanks for the cauliflower crust pizza, for me. Salmon Piccata $25.99 Salmon with linguini fini pasta, lemon, capers in a lemon cream sauce. I am not a fan of this perennial plant, capers. I prefer basil. I never like olives and very grateful olives is not included in this entrée. My friend/neighbor highly enjoyed this entrée for the good quality and large size salmon that was well prepared without dryness. I have been always enamored with linguini pasta. Chocolate soufflé, whipped cream with vanilla Haagen Dazs ice cream $12.24 One word: delicious. The soufflé was soft, warm chocolate but minimal inner filling and slightly flat. I was hoping for a towering high rise for this classic French dessert. Our waitress separated the ice cream from the soufflé for serving which I was grateful as I despise when the ice cream completely melts on the soufflé.

I'll always remember all the good times at California Pizza Kitchen! It's a family place, date or after shopping spot. I promise you won't be sorry.

Firm believer that a good waiter/waitress makes all the difference in a dining experience! Fabian was the ultimate employee being attentive personable and quick. 10/10 for the customer service. For quality of food I give it an 8. The bread and oil we received as a complimentary starter was decent and so were the drinks. The pizza however was the star of show. We got a California club and substituted the mayo for ranch and that was the best decision I made all day. The ranch was the perfect topping and added just the right amount of flavor. A must try if you visit!

I love going to the bar and ordering a few appetizers and a beverage. This was a Sangria flight for $10; how could you go wrong! I cannot wait to visit again. Use your phone number to log in for points. The service is great at the bar. The ambiance is nice for a chain restaurant. They have happy hour on food and drinks.

I love coming here. Our waitress was so nice, and when I had my sandwich sent back for a softer bread because the bread was too hard to bite down on, there were no issues. My husband had the West Coast Burger with no pickles and fries. The waitress explained to him that it came with a pickle sauce, but he's not a fan. I had the lunch sandwich duo, apple, brie, and turkey sandwich with the thai salad. We also had the chicken and avocado egg rolls, which were delicious. Add the Chipotle mayo sauce on top and chef's kiss. It wasn't packed at all, but before we were seated, it seemed like there was sort of await, must have been understaffed.

Pretty busy spot - had to wait around 20 mins even though there were a ton of tables open. Probably didn't want to overwhelm the kitchen and the servers. Our server was outstanding though. Ordered a bunch of stuff to share, but I really enjoyed the lettuce wraps and the avocado egg rolls. Will definitely be back for those two. Egg rolls were piping hot, savory, and the filling was seasoned perfectly. The chicken for the lettuce wraps were a bit too salty, but complemented the fresh and crunchy lettuce well. Will be back whenever we're in the area!

After the movies took my folks out for a quick bit to eat. Prior to arriving I went online where they said I could join the wait list which I did and the timeframe was 5 minutes but when I arrived the hostess stated that they do not use the online system. As a customer when using electronic systems to assist with seating fast is great so to hear this upon arrival was a little upsetting especially arrive with senior family members. We finally were seated after 20 minutes overall our food was good and I would suggest having more wait staff our waiter seem like she was waiting many tables.

I went here for lunch on a Wednesday around 3 PM and it was fairly busy. I sat myself at the bar since there was no one there to seat me and I already saw a party of four waiting to be seated. Desiree was my server at the bar and she was amazing great service and so kind and attentive. I highly recommend sitting at the bar if you can because the servers always checking on you. I got the mango cooler which was super yummy. It is a bit sweet, but I do like that. I got the popular avocado rolls, which were OK a bit too greasy and rich for me. And I got the chicken piccata which was amazing, highly recommend. Aside from my experience, I did notice that the bar counter was a little dirty. The floor was also a bit dirty, and from catching conversation around me, it doesn't seem like the service would be great. The fact that there was not a hostess there for 10 minutes is an issue. Glad i say myself at the bar and had Desiree as a server- she was excellent.

The owner is also really cool; he personally greets guests and makes a point of chatting with the performers to ensure they're comfortable. This is a wonderfully romantic spot. The beautiful flowers add such a nice touch (as I mentioned in my previous review). They seem to go the extra mile when it comes to creating a celebratory atmosphere. Service was excellent from start to finish. The staff at reception and at the table were attentive, friendly, and welcoming. Food-wise, we tried the Kung Pao calamari and wagyu meatballs after seeing other reviewers rave about them, but both felt a little gimmicky to me. Our group mostly stuck with more traditional brunch items, including breakfast burritos and omelettes, and those were fine. Overall, I would not necessarily come here just for the food, but I would recommend it for the atmosphere, service, and special-occasion vibe. It is a great spot if you want a pretty setting, good hospitality, and plenty of photo-friendly areas.

We were also intrigued to try the sangria that yelp raved about. We got a pitcher! It did NOT disappoint. It was a decent size pitcher for the price. Roza came to us and asked if we liked it and told us it was her recipe. No sugar ,No soda .It was tasty, thick full of fruit and definitely had liquor because I left with a buzz She also brought out the rosè for us to try pretty good too very refreshing will definitely do that one in warmer weather. I got the Dbar burger it was good but so big I didn't finish it all. My husband got the rib eye burger. He liked it but it was a little to greasy for him he didn't finish it. My 13 year old wanted breakfast. It was not in the menu but we figured we ask since it is a diner. She got pancakes with fruit and scrambled eggs. My youngest daughter got from the kids menu grilled cheese with fruit she enjoyed it so much we had to order another. Both girls for the marshmallow milkshake they LOVED it! For appetizers we got calamari good but could've used a little more breading. Also got chips with guacamole and honestly for a diner it was delicious. Everyone was friendly. Roza knew she had a bday past since we conversed for a bit and suggested we can sing her happy bday and asked what she liked I told her chocolate cake. They asked for the correct spelling of her name which I thought was sweet. Anyway the staff came out and sang with us super cool. Even the bathrooms are really clean. It was a great experience will definitely come back.I must be honest it's a hit pricey. The price for the pancakes with eggs was $23 when we saw the bill I was a little surprised. Kids' meals are $13 and I thought we were getting the cake (free, lol) since I technically didn't suggest it. It was $12 for a slice. But overall it was a pleasure she even gave us a sample of vodka with lemon and ginger which was actually good and helps settle the stomach.

They definitely piled the veggies on, which I appreciated. However, the beef patty was not great texturally. There seemed to be an issue with consistency, three of us ordered the same burger cooked medium rare but our burgers were cooked with different levels of doneness. One was perfectly medium rare, one was very rare, and mine was in between with some parts that were rare. The rare parts felt (and looked) too much like raw ground beef, tasted mushy. It wasn't a big deal though because it was still edible. If I come back here, I would probably just order medium to be on the safe side. What actually ruined the patty for me was the chewy, rubbery gristle. The other burgers didn't have as much but mine had gristle in nearly every bite. Thankfully, the brioche bun and veggies kind of made up for the meat. The onion rings were really fried and super crunchy; they almost looked burnt. It was a little too fried for me but I still enjoyed it. The spicy barbecue sauce was really good and had a tiny kick. I preferred the spicy barbecue sauce to the garlic aioli. The aioli was too thick so I liked combining the two sauces. The fries were basic chain restaurant fries, crispy and fluffy. I would be happy with ordering either fries or onion rings again. However, I think the onions rings made the burger more enjoyable. Pretty big place with lots of seating. Quick and friendly service.

The mafadine pasta was a good pick adorned with springy components like pea leaves and a compelling Parmesan vibe. Maybe I like vegetables more than I thought? The steelhead carpaccio special was a stunner. Based on my 1.5 bites of monkfish I'd also endorse that. This may be more of a "DVD extra" but when I originally looked up the QB many of the top-ranked items were breakfasts and some were p-zza (reverse SEO). Based only on lower-left menu placement I would say don't go that route and that specials are a good bet. Again this is only based on 1.5 bites but the eggplant parm special had great sauce. I'm undecided on the watermelon granita which wasn't all that watermelony but spicy dessert was different. Food: 3.5/5 We made it a point to try a range of brunch options. My grandfather ordered the sweet potato and chorizo hash, I went with the two-egg combo with pork sausage (eggs over easy), and my husband chose the Moroccan eggs. Overall, the food was good and flavorful, especially if you enjoy dishes with a bit more nuance and influence from Spanish or Mexican flavors. That said, as someone who leans more toward classic American diner-style brunch, it didn't fully hit that nostalgic spot for me. It's not that anything was bad--it just wasn't the most memorable brunch I've had. Still, it was nice to explore a different side of their menu beyond the burgers, fries, and pasta we'd tried before. Service: 4/5 The staff were genuinely kind and welcoming, which made the experience pleasant. However, they do rely on a QR code-style menu, which can be a bit of a learning curve--especially for those who prefer a more traditional ordering experience. During the brunch rush, things definitely got busy and a bit overwhelmed, so service slowed down slightly. One tip: if you already know what you want, it's best to order everything upfront to avoid delays. Vibe: 3.5/5 Like many New York spots, space is tight. Even as a party of four, we were seated at a small square table, which could be challenging if you have strollers or extra belongings. That said, the space still feels cozy and neighborhood-friendly--great for a casual brunch, just not the most spacious. All in all, It's a solid neighborhood brunch spot with interesting, flavor-forward dishes and kind service. I wouldn't call it my top brunch destination, but I'd come back if I were in the area--especially if I was craving something a little different from the usual diner fare.
