When Lisa and I visit Santa Barbara, the highlight of our stay is always breakfast at Rosie's Patio Cafe. Fabulous menu, we sit outside with a marvelous view of Camino Cielo, and then there's Rosie herself, with the loveliest smile anyone could ever ask for!

Service is great! Food is mediocre. The huevos rancheros was tasty but the potatoes were flavorless. The bagel melt was pretty plain too. There's a nice sized patio when the weather is good and a gorgeous Santa Barbara mountain view. It's very small and cozy inside.

The service was friendly, attentive, and excellent. The staff was knowledgeable and accommodating. The atmosphere was pleasant, quaint, and perfect for a relaxing breakfast. The view of the mountains peaking over the city was beautiful.

I love this place! Well located, sunny outdoor covered seats and their Bloody Mary is to die for! I sometimes randomly crave it and have to come mostly for that. The Santa Barbara Benedict is my brunch favorite and their hashbrowns are crispy and a large portion

Honestly, shame on yall. You manually went into my delivery order to add an extra $2 charge for a standard sized small side of ranch dressing. It's not about the $2, it's the fact that it should not be more than .35C or it should be free with the meal. Additionally, you charge $11 for 3 small pancakes and provided an EVEN SMALLER side of syrup, enough for 1 pancake. And worst, I couldn't tell if the ranch was a rancid store bought dressing or a rotten homemade dressing. I had to throw it away. The peppers in the breakfast potatoes didn't taste fresh. Eggs were not seasons. But the sausage links were great and the pancakes were tasty, a classic buttermilk pancake. This is the 3rd time I've eaten here in the past 17 years and it's officially my last. I'm 0/3 on good experiences with this place.

We stumbled upon this place by accident, and I wasn't sure if they were open for dinner because the sign said closed, but there were three people working and they let us eat on the patio. I wasn't sure how to order, she gave us a QR code to scan for the menu, so I just ordered off the website for carry out, intending to eat on the patio. I liked how private and peaceful it felt with views of the mountains. This isn't an area of Santa Barbara that I often visit, so it felt really good to support this ma and pa restaurant. The waitress was so sweet, even though there was a slight language barrier, she tried hard and gave us different options for things that they ran out of. In fact, they ran out of potstickers, but decided to run to get ingredients at a neighboring grocery store just to make our potstickers. I felt really bad for them. But they were delicious and so were the tacos. The portions were big and maybe I wasn't expecting that much but I was fulfilled and satisfied. If you are a local, we need to start supporting these tiny establishments otherwise they are going to disappear!

Food is decent and homemade. Stopped for breakfast and sat on the patio. Eggs and potatoes were fresh and a decent portion. Veggie omelette had plenty of decent fresh vegetables. Service from the man waiter was nice and friendly. The lady though was less than pleasant and felt inconvenienced because my daughter asked for the toast without butter. Had coffee and all I can say is just don't!! Tasteless Luke warm and not worth the $3.50. Overall maybe it's a 3 1/2 but probably won't be back. Too many other tasty spots in Santa Barbara. Probably is good for Mexican breakfast if that's your style

Hate to do this, but the food is pretty bad. Gave them a shot for the first time, and was shocked by the poor quality of the food. Eggs visibly overcooked, almost inedible, but I forced myself to eat half. Biscuit and gravy had a biscuit that must've been frozen and not baked properly because it was very dense in the middle, like the dough didn't rise properly--threw away after two bites. Waffle was OK but not unlike cheap frozen ones, like Eggo--son didn't want to eat it. Chilaquiles weren't terrible, so half were eaten. Even Denny's is better than this, and I don't even like Denny's. Seems whoever they had preparing breakfast today just doesn't know how to cook well.

    Diced bacon scramble =$12.75...tasty

I had a very satisfying breakfast here today. Diced bacon scramble, very large portion, perfectly cooked, delicious hashbrowns and two types of tasty salsa. The biscuit was very dense but the gravy was good. Nice, friendly service, typical Santa Barbara vibe, prices are on the same level as similar joints in town...too high.

The older Hispanic proprietress is beyond rude. The food is marginal, the service is terrible. It's the last time I go there...

    They have Bloody Mary?.

Yes they certainly do. Very stiff, deliciously spicy, and comes with a few ornaments to nibble on. Not like the over the top ones that come with a meal hanging off of it. Just some good veggie and slab of bacon. ORDER ONE!

You order and pay at the counter first, then they seat you and bring everything out. I actually kind of liked being able to sit down and relax without immediately being handed another menu It's a really cute spot with nice outdoor seating, friendly staff, and dogs are welcome. My sister's dog enjoyed brunch from the comfort of his stroller My husband got his usual cold brew and I got a spring water. We shared the avocado toast with egg and bacon added, plus a side of potatoes. The avocado smash was good and the egg was cooked perfectly, but the bread was a little dense for me. Nuzz really enjoyed the bacon. The POTATOES though!! So good. Thinly sliced, thicker than a potato chip, perfectly salted and super crispy. The side portion was generous too. Our total was about $53 for the avocado toast with add-ons, potatoes, cold brew, water and tip. I'm glad we shared because that felt pretty steep for one breakfast! And for my IBS friends Two separate, private all-gender bathrooms with actual doors. No stalls. We love to see it. Overall, cute place, good food and a different brunch experience. Nothing was bad at all, but for the price, I probably wouldn't rush back.

SCORE 0 HEALTH HAZARD 10…read more This is our third time we've had issues with the staff. Today is our last time going here. There was only one person in line and 4 staff members behind the counter standing around talking to each other. Nobody greeted us or asked for our bakery order. When I said excuse me to a dirty blond girl she replied "WHAT!" and continued to joke with a co worker. When the cashier finished with their customer they walked away and even though they saw we were waiting to be helped. I looked around and saw nobody helping seated customers or us at the bakery counter. Finally, the dirty blonde ask what we need and my response was "WHAT" ?! At this point we should have left and gone to Lilac Patisserie however we proceeded to give her our order. I told another customer behind us that rudeness seems to be the norm, and she agreed. I paid for our bakery items and asked an older woman scrolling on her phone if we could have a bag for all of our boxed treats. She grabbed a handful of bags and threw them at me from across the counter. We were appalled and left. We found a place to sit on State street to eat our treats and my daughter said she didn't want her Meringue because the dirty blonde girl used the back of her ungloved hand to repeatedly wipe her nose. We threw all $50 worth of baked goods in the trash. Yes, I should have gone back and complained I'm had everything refunded but it was Mother's Day and we didn't want anything more to do with this establishment. It was also an epiphany that they don't treat everyone this way. It could be you next time. Please go somewhere else. We will never go to anywhere but Lilac Patisserie which is to the left as you exit Andersons, past the stop light. You will definitely get your money's worth and the staff is friendly, professional, and greet you immediately as you reach the counter.

I highly recommend sitting outside if possible. The calm ocean winds and sunny atmosphere is just perfect for a nice brunch. My table ordered 4 dishes and enjoyed each one. The lemon poppyseed pancake was not too sweet and had paired perfect with the fresh blueberry jam. And the Norwegian benedict was lovely. I would highly recommend these two items!
