We were seated immediately and approached by our server, Danielle. We promptly received our drinks, crusty bread and seasoned olive oil for dipping. Within minutes (8 minutes is what is promised) we received our margherita pizza. I was very happy with the food and service. We were finished eating and ready to go to our show within 30 minutes in plenty of time to make our movie!!! I have found the food and service from California Pizza Kitchens to be consistently good. This location is especially nice. This is a chain restaurant and so there is no comparison to be made with our local speciality restaurants like Goat and Vine (G&V pizzas are out of this world delicious). On my recent visit to California I got to visit my favorite restaurant CPK!! Post Covid-19 and still love it! The server was great and food still delicious. My only complaint is my poor niece asked for pizza without mushrooms and they put them on her pizza. She didn't want to wait for another pizza so opted to remove each mushroom. I was a little upset about that, but again due to the extra precautions being made we said nothing. Is this the new normal? We still enjoyed our food for the most part and they have new lunch specials that were the perfect size! read more

CPK is usually my favorite restaurant but lately they have not been providing me with what I ordered. On one order, I had ordered 2 key lime pies and they sent me 2 red velvet cakes. This order totaled $70. The next order totaled $156 and that order was messed up. I o ordered and PAID FOR EXTRA SHRIMP in the garlic fettuccine but I received 5 shrimp and a lot of fennel sausage. My problem is this: DON'T CHARGE PEOPLE IF YOU ARE NOT GOING TO FULFILL THEIR ORDER CORRECTLY.ALSO EVERYONE DOES NOT WANT THE CHEF'S RECOMMENDATION. CPK has lost me as a customer. We had 20 guests attend the dinner and everyone was craving pizza/pasta. My budget was $400 and we were able to order the following, including tax and tip: 1 Large CPK Classics Trio Package (6 pizzas, 2 pastas, 2 salads, and 1 sweets tray/baguette) 1 The Works Pizza When arriving at the restaurant to pick up our food, the staff was on-time, attentive, and had our food piping hot and ready to go. She asked if we needed additional plates, utensils, sauces, tongs, etc...The food turned out absolutely delicious and met all my guests' needs. The catering staff had every pizza box specifically marked, separated the sauces, and thoughtfully packaged the order for easier transportation. At this particular CPK, I like getting take out. I usually do this after shopping for a few hours at the Promenade mall (which CPK is located within). The food is ready for me when I get there. They leave it heated so it won't get cold if I'm late. The free bread and butter is a bonus. My absolute favorite dish here is the Chicken Tequila Fettuccine. It's got that hint of lemon and jalapeno. The flavors are robust. The prices are reasonable anywhere between $10-15 for their entrees. read more

My husband and I figured we should try the CPK at this location at least once, so we stopped in for dinner. My daughter doesn't eat a lot so we got her the tiny bites plate , the Mediterranean platter with hummus, pita bread, salad, etc. She enjoyed it and from what I tasted, I liked it too. We got the spinach dip to start and it arrived on our table, all warm and gooey, it was delicious. The food was not as warm as it should be and all our food came out at different times, we also had to wait long periods for refills and items we needed. It felt like there was no manager on site and no cohesive team. The staff did not demonstrate any urgency in getting the customer good customer service. People kept coming in and just waiting for someone to acknowledge them since there was no one in the front for long periods. My husband and I ate here today and upon arriving we were told there would be a 15-20 mins wait (no problem)... We were seated within that time frame (great). The unfortunate is once we were seated, we also waited that amount of time, if not longer before someone even acknowledged us to offer water.
