Ok, this place is honestly the greatest restaurant in Santa Clarita. Why do I say that? Because the culture of their Managment and Servers is so impeccable and consistent that I honestly feel like I'm in a luxury hotel Café that serves generous portions and amazingly fresh food on demand like I'm a long term guest staying at the Four Seasons. So their salads are incredible, probably the highlight of the place, and this location tends to give you a lot more in terms of portions and really does a great job making the perfect giant salad bowl. It's honestly big enough to share between two people, which gives you a perfect excuse to order the barbecue chicken pizza or another concoction to accompany the meal and balance everything out. For us, it's also the one place that has a celiac gluten-free safe kitchen that goes above and beyond to cater to our child with celiac disease. There are a few restaurants that exist that actually care, and CPK goes above and beyond. They always ensure that the food is cooked in a separate oven, prepared in a separate place, and brought out by a manager every time to ensure from A-to-Z, that food is prepared safely. Many years ago, my wife and I had such a terrible experience at CPK that I vowed to never set foot in that restaurant again. Two things happened: 1) Hot weather, wife didn't want to cook and 2) she had a gift card that had been given to her. She wanted to go there, and I reluctantly agreed. Glad I did. Restaurant was moderately busy, but we were quickly seated. We had an amazing server (Allie) who was at the table immediately to offer drinks. I asked her which one of their sangrias would be refreshing, and she recommended their mango sangria. Drinks were quickly served and the sangria was very good. Bread and dipping oil were brought to the table. I ordered their Thai salad, and it was crisp, loaded with interesting ingredients and the dressing had a good flavor. This isn't one of our regular choices for lunch but we decided to try it today. They have lunch specials for under $15.00.. Two of us ordered the soup and salad duo and I ordered the sandwich duo with a muffuletta sandwich and a chopped salad. The salad was good but after eating some of the sandwich I realized that the vegetable mix had been left out. When I asked our waitress, I was told that they were out of it and was offered a different sandwich. I have mixed feelings about this review as the server was good but clearly could not give every table the time required. The staff are trying their darnedest bit clearly staffing is an issue. We visited for my mother's birthday. It was spoilt by it being too hot in the restaurant, whether the AC can't cut it, or the corporation sets the thermostat, what should have been a wonderful experience wasn't What we liked. Our server was very rushed when a server finally came to our table and the place felt like a major down grade compared to other California Pizza kitchens. No pleasant experience with the servers either. Available servers ignored us when waiting patiently to be served. Although the food did make up for their service. Before even being seated I had asked to sit outside on the clearly open outdoor seating. They told me to wait and I did, but when my time came I was seated inside by the same greater I had asked personally to seat me outside. Also wine and beer at a happy hour price. The interior is casual and a little dated. However there is a nice outdoor patio you can enjoy. Service is friendly. The happy hour isn't crowded so your food and drinks come quick. The pizza is solid as were the dumplings (steamed - you have your choice of steamed or fried). I took 3 kids here for dinner and we all had a pleasant experience. We got a kids salad and 4 pizzas, cheese, bbq chicken, and pepperoni. A normal size pizza would be big enough to share. However my kids wanted their own. The cheese pizza had plenty of cheese and sauce. The bbq chicken was ok, it just lacked a little freshness and needed something to brighten up the bbq flavor. The pepperoni was fine, as well. I think the crust could've been a little more flavorful. It was just meh, nothing bad. But nothing special. We just had an amazing dinner at California Pizza Kitchen, and I had to leave a review because the experience was that good. Our waitress, Mabel, was absolutely fantastic. She was warm, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. Her recommendations were spot on! We ordered the Cedar Plank Salmon, the West Coast Burger, and the Margherita Pizza on cauliflower crust -- and every single dish was delicious. The salmon was perfectly cooked and full of flavor, the burger was juicy and satisfying, and the cauliflower crust on the Margherita pizza was crisp and light while still being packed with flavor. We came as a family to enjoy the game last night and Happy Hour specials. We hadn't been in years. Our server/bartender was excellent and we really enjoyed all of our selections. I started with a cup of the Dakota Smashed Pea and Barley Soup to set the stage for what was to come--a consistently-awesome Thai Crunch Salad (sub shrimp in place of chicken and no wontons are my personal preferences) masterfully created and presented by Assistant Manager, Leo. Kuhio was my server. All servers there are wonderful; but, he's at the top. His friendliness, efficiency, and concern for the customer are unparalleled. Mabel was not only friendly but super informative with the specials as well as the rewards program that we signed up for. She gave us recommendations and overall took wonderful care of us. We ordered the passion fruit mango iced tea and the red berry sangria to drinks. Both delicious and let me say the sangria is by far one of the best I've had at a restaurant. To eat we decided to share the Sicilian pizza and Caesar salad. The spicy marinara topped with the capicola ham, pepperoni and fresh basil was mouthwatering and had perfectly crispy crust. This pizza that we picked up at 7pm last night Jan. 29, 2025 is without a doubt the best pizza I have ever had in Santa Clarita and ranks in the Top 5 of all time for me. We always get a good and consistent meal at any CPK location and after a few years of ordering delivery from our local store we finally had the chance to dine in person. It was a great experience. The food was on par with what we had at other locations, the service was great and everyone was happy. We especially appreciate that there are gluten-free options. My wife enjoyed her mushroom pizza on their gluten-free crust. I especially enjoyed the Neapolitan Burrata Pizza...a limited-time special which was on par with the pies that we recently had in Naples Italy. (Though cooked a little longer than they do there so you could actually pick up the slices and not have to fork and knife it. Our kid who, wasn't in the mood for pizza, liked the Garlic Cream Fettucini With Mushrooms and it's good to know that, despite the fact that it's got "pizza" in the name, it's a restaurant with a full menu of things to choose from so there are options for everyone of every diet. We also love that they partner with local organizations to help raise funds. I grew up on California pizza kitchen in the Bay Area and just starting to get back into it. The barbecue chicken pizza has not changed. It's absolutely amazing. The staff needs to be trained better. CPK has good pizza and salads. The location is pleasant and it has a large parking lot. A Tesla Charging lot is near by. The waitress was nice just overworked Two people for the Resturant. I order the Pizza and Salad special which is 12.99. It took close to an hour to come out and the place was not crowded. I have an allergy to cilantro so I make it clear that it can not even cross contaminate my plate of bless served with an epi pen. So what does the busboy bring out a pizza covered with cilantro It did not have a chance to touch the table I sent it back.
