I recently received an in-home estimate from CA Window and Solar, which was a great experience. It is obvious that everyone with this company takes pride in what they do. Dallas arrived precisely on time for the estimate, discussed all options with me, and even took time to tell me about the history of the company (which is a family business). He was extremely professional and answered all of my questions - and then some! I have three oversized sliding-glass doors which date from the late 70s that need to be replaced. They are a bit tricky in terms of placement, but Dallas took care to explain in depth how the installers could accomplish this (and they do not use sub-contractors!). Unfortunately, I was not able to go with this company because my needs were urgent and they are booked out a bit in advance, but I am sure they are worth the wait. The fact that they are booked solid probably says a great deal about their service. I would not hesitate to call them again if I have window or door issues that need to be addressed. read more

Im glad I call this place to replace all my old windows. They are very professional and great service. They have their own employees to come and replace my windows. Not like home depot or sears where they hire another random contractor to do the job. The best part is this cost half of the price compare to the quote I got from home depot and sears. They put down blankets on all of the walkways and covered everything close to where they were working. When they left everything was at least as clean or better. I got the Milgard Tuscany series. Joshua the lead installer was great. He explained what they would be doing and kept me updated as he worked. I was able to get a fair price. The windows and installation have a lifetime guarantee. The sales process was good. The Milgard order, delivery was completely unacceptable. The order came in three increments over 3 weeks. As such installation was delayed. 3 Windows were made incorrect. 2 additional were damaged. Sliders were missing Locks and safety latches. Damaged screens keeping being relaxed with the wrong color. Milgard production is a disaster. California Window was no help within Milgard getting the windows correct. Once they had our money and the order placed WE WERE ON OUR OWN. We placed the order in December of 2017 and 6 months later still do not have all issues worked out. I strongly suggest another window manufacturer as Milgard service and sales follow up is terrible. The show room at California Window and Solar is nicCalifornia Window and Solar service is recklessly poor. Once they have your money you are on your own. They just say "call Milgard". Good luck. The owner has contacted me and has been very good about helping with the open items. The owner seems to be very concerned about helping. We needed a new replacement Milgard sliding door for our patio. After attempting to work with another MiIgard dealer in the area who was too busy to either come out or respond to calls (probably because they could not make enough money on one door) I contacted California Window & Solar for a quote. What a difference. The person on the phone was friendly and informative and we made an appointment. Jeff Conkle came to our home a few days later, assessed our job and gave us a reasonable quote on the spot. Because we needed a custom size from the factory we had to wait several weeks but the office called in a few days to confirm our exact installation date. The installation appointment came off on the exact date and time arranged and the crew was professional and very careful not to damage our plantation shutters or hardwood floor adjacent to the door inside. The outside detail was also flawless with no damage to stucco. The new door works perfectly.
