John and Ken couldn't have been more pleasant to deal with. They prove there's nothing like small-town service!

Unfortunately, it took a couple months for a proper diagnosis. The smell continued to get worse and worse, and made the vehicle unsafe and on a drivable for my four children and my wife, I reached out to the owner asking if he would cover the expenses because if I would have test driven that car in person I would've never purchased a car. There was always an excuse. I guess a lesson learned. Even a small town dealership that's been established for a long time. Doesn't have much empathy for an out-of-state purchaser. So $790 later, at least the issue was fixed and my children are saved and not getting exhaust blown into them through the vents while they're in the backseat I guess there was a reason why I was never offered a warranty until many emails later that I kept requesting it((all-time stamped and documented)

I would give 6 stars if I could. I have bought my last two vehicles from Tom Hodges. I thought that…read morewhen he " went big " the personal touch would disappear. He has surrounded himself with top notch people that care. You can still talk to the owner. That usually doesn't happen to big dealers. Dylan in sales makes sure that everything is ok and Emily in service is great. Tom and Dylan are looking for my next vehicle. I'm sure that I will buy from them again. Best dealer I've ever used.

I brought my SUV to this shop for repair as it is a local business and I try to support local when…read moreavailable. My mistake. The first visit entailed a month and a half long wait to have an air conditioning problem repaired, only to have the A/C fail the first time I used it (100 degree + day, of course). Back to the shop and after another extended wait, (another month) I finally received a vehicle with a working A/C. Okay, stuff happens. After a breakdown on the road, I gave them another opportunity to fix a second problem with the vehicle, bad move. The car was laid up for over a month this time and there was a complete lack of transparency as to parts availability. One day they had the part, the next day they didn't. Additionally, the part that it took them over a month to get wasn't even the correct part, they had misdiagnosed the problem with the car. Luckily by this time, even I had had enough and the vehicle was towed to another shop where I was informed that the repair that Campbells was going to make would not have solved the problem and, I would have spent $1000.00 and had a vehicle that still wouldn't run. The second tow bill was money well spent and thankfully the second shop, Affordable Auto Repair in Fredericksburg, was able to repair the vehicle in a timely fashion, and offered a parts warranty on the repair. Thankfully, I had a second car to use while the other was needlessly detained at Campbells. Needless to say, I won't be recommending this shop to anyone in the future.

I brought my 2017 Dodge Durango R/T AWD into the dealership on May 7th for a knocking/clunking…read morenoise when stopping and a check engine light. I understand I was a walk-in customer, but it still took 4 business days just to diagnose the vehicle, and the overall repair process lasted nearly two weeks. Communication throughout the process was frustrating. Every update had to be requested by me, and when I called during the second day I was told oil changes were taking priority over diagnostics. When I asked for estimates, I never received a proper written quote -- only blank emails with numbers and little explanation. The dealership eventually found broken/cracked EVAP lines, a leaking purge valve hose, a leaking ESIM, and failed motor mounts. The motor mount repair fixed the knocking issue, which I appreciate. One thing that really bothered me was being charged for an oil change that I neither requested nor was informed about beforehand. While I knew I was getting close to needing one anyway, it should have been communicated and approved clearly before being performed. Situations like that make customers question how often additional services are added without proper discussion. While the repairs appear to have resolved the issues, the customer service experience was disappointing. For having my vehicle for almost two weeks, I expected better communication, proper written estimates, and at minimum a basic wash/vacuum before returning the vehicle. Overall, the repairs seem fine, but the service experience and communication need significant improvement. Update*** noise is still there not quite as pronounced but still there..

Unfortunately, I HAVE to give 1 star in order to write a review. I've waited a few weeks before…read morewriting this review in hopes that the service manager Ricardo would make things "right". I purchased my 2016 Jeep Wrangler in 2019 and in the beginning if I had to have my jeep serviced I received great customer service. That is not the case for the last few times my jeep has been in the shop. The most recent visit was for an ignition check and to see if an alignment was needed and if so to do the alignment. I dropped my jeep off on 4/1 and picked it up on 4/10 and absolutely NOTHING was done to my vehicle. I will start off by saying that Sherry the advisor that was "helping" me was literally no help at all. There was ZERO communication from her, when I texted it was always the same story "a technician is diagnosing the issue" when I call I was left on hold and someone else who had no clue what was going on because they weren't the advisor handling my vehicle so they couldn't tell me much. This is the 3rd time Sherry has been the advisor for my vehicle being in the shop and every time there was minimal communication. Ricardo the manager reached out through text message and apolgized for the inconvenience and lack of communication and he said that the technician has reported "the vehicle is consistantly operating within the manufacturers specs". I then asked if the alignment was checked (as I had the 3 previous times my vehicle was being serviced) Ricardo assured me and I quote "I will personally verify that the alignment has been checked and performed if needed" AND he also assured me that my "vehicle will be ready by end of day" and he would throw in a complementary inside/outside detailing of my vehicle. Well, I went to the service department at 5pm (end of day) to pick-up my jeep that was supposedly detailed and had the alignment checked ... but there was literally nothing done to it. In fact I spoke w/ the technician who supposedly checked my vehicle and told Ricardo that "the vehicle is consistantly operating within the manufacturers specs". He said he was never given the service ticket and he started my vehicle for the first time to bring it around to me and the alignment was NOT checked and detailing was NOT done (I told him that I apprecaited his honesty, and let him know that this is in no way his fault). During that time the other advisor who was there (NOT Sherry because we all know she has no communication skills) informed me that nothing was done to my vehicle and that is apparently an ongoing problem with Ricardo & Sherry and they fabricate issues with vehicles to receive a higher commission. I reached out to Ricardo asking why nothing at all was done to my vehicle and he said the alignment check was done and he apologized for not reaching out because supposedly the "technician found that my outer tie rods were seized, and the vehicle was NOT supposed to be released". How did they determine the outer tie rods were seized if my vehicle was literally not touched the entire time it was in the shop. I asked Ricardo to please provide me with the print out of the alignment report that has my identifying information and showing this "problem". Apparently Ricardo spent the day looking through past alignment reports for 2016 jeep wranglers w/ outer tie rod issues so he could fabricate the report to cover his ass. I was NEVER supplied with the information I requested and he never had the common courtesy to reach out to even try to explain himself. Apparently this is an ongoing issue with this service department. Unfortunately, the month prior I took my jeep to them because it broke down and they claimed I needed the transmission replaced - I paid $8000 at that time and now I'm wondering if it truly needed to be replaced. The lack of integrity in some people is truly sad. You expect people to do better and want to actually do their jobs correctly. Their customer service is absolutely horrible and I hope more people speak out against them so they can get decent people working in there again!
